וְתַרְמוּת and delusion wə·ṯar·mūṯ לִבָּ֔ם of their own minds . lib·bām Jeremiah 14:15 לָכֵ֞ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says ’ā·mar עַֽל־ about ‘al- הַנְּבִאִ֞ים the prophets han·nə·ḇi·’îm הַנִּבְּאִ֣ים who prophesy han·nib·bə·’îm בִּשְׁמִי֮ in My name : biš·mî וַאֲנִ֣י I wa·’ă·nî לֹֽא־ did not lō- שְׁלַחְתִּים֒ send them , šə·laḥ·tîm וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ yet they wə·hêm·māh אֹֽמְרִ֔ים say , ’ō·mə·rîm לֹ֥א ‘ No lō חֶ֣רֶב sword ḥe·reḇ וְרָעָ֔ב or famine wə·rā·‘āḇ יִהְיֶ֖ה will touch yih·yeh הַזֹּ֑את this haz·zōṯ בָּאָ֣רֶץ land . ’ bā·’ā·reṣ בַּחֶ֤רֶב By sword ba·ḥe·reḇ וּבָֽרָעָב֙ and famine ū·ḇā·rā·‘āḇ הָהֵֽמָּה׃ these very hā·hêm·māh הַנְּבִאִ֖ים prophets han·nə·ḇi·’îm יִתַּ֔מּוּ will meet their end ! yit·tam·mū Jeremiah 14:16 וְהָעָ֣ם And the people wə·hā·‘ām אֲשֶׁר־ to whom ’ă·šer- הֵ֣מָּה they hêm·māh נִבְּאִ֣ים prophesy nib·bə·’îm לָהֶ֡ם - lā·hem יִֽהְי֣וּ will be yih·yū מֻשְׁלָכִים֩ thrown muš·lā·ḵîm בְּחֻצ֨וֹת into the streets bə·ḥu·ṣō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim מִפְּנֵ֣י׀ because of mip·pə·nê הָרָעָ֣ב famine hā·rā·‘āḇ וְהַחֶ֗רֶב and sword . wə·ha·ḥe·reḇ וְאֵ֤ין There will be no wə·’ên מְקַבֵּר֙ one to bury mə·qab·bêr לָהֵ֔מָּה them lā·hêm·māh הֵ֣מָּה or their hêm·māh נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם wives , nə·šê·hem וּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם their sons ū·ḇə·nê·hem וּבְנֹֽתֵיהֶ֑ם or their daughters . ū·ḇə·nō·ṯê·hem וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֥י I will pour out wə·šā·p̄aḵ·tî רָעָתָֽם׃ their own evil rā·‘ā·ṯām עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם upon them ‘ă·lê·hem אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- Jeremiah 14:17 וְאָמַרְתָּ֤ You are to speak wə·’ā·mar·tā הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh הַדָּבָ֣ר word had·dā·ḇār אֲלֵיהֶם֙ to them : ’ă·lê·hem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֵינַ֥י ‘ My eyes ‘ê·nay תֵּרַ֨דְנָה overflow tê·raḏ·nāh דִּמְעָ֛ה with tears ; dim·‘āh וְיוֹמָ֖ם day wə·yō·w·mām לַ֥יְלָה and night lay·lāh וְאַל־ they do not wə·’al- תִּדְמֶ֑ינָה cease , tiḏ·me·nāh כִּי֩ for kî בְּתוּלַת֙ the virgin bə·ṯū·laṯ בַּת־ daughter baṯ- עַמִּ֔י of my people ‘am·mî שֶׁ֨בֶר has been shattered še·ḇer גָּד֜וֹל by a crushing gā·ḏō·wl נִשְׁבְּרָ֗ה blow , niš·bə·rāh מְאֹֽד׃ a severely mə·’ōḏ נַחְלָ֥ה grievous naḥ·lāh מַכָּ֖ה wound . mak·kāh Jeremiah 14:18 אִם־ If ’im- יָצָ֣אתִי I go out yā·ṣā·ṯî הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה to the country , haś·śā·ḏeh וְהִנֵּה֙ I see wə·hin·nêh חַלְלֵי־ those slain ḥal·lê- חֶ֔רֶב by the sword ; ḥe·reḇ וְאִם֙ if wə·’im בָּ֣אתִי I enter bā·ṯî הָעִ֔יר the city , hā·‘îr וְהִנֵּ֖ה I see wə·hin·nêh תַּחֲלוּאֵ֣י those ravaged ta·ḥă·lū·’ê רָעָ֑ב by famine ! rā·‘āḇ כִּֽי־ For kî- גַם־ both ḡam- נָבִ֧יא prophet nā·ḇî גַם־ and ḡam- כֹּהֵ֛ן priest kō·hên
