מַצּ֣וֹת unleavened bread . maṣ·ṣō·wṯ הָרִאשׁ֔וֹן On the first hā·ri·šō·wn בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm תַּשְׁבִּ֥יתוּ you are to remove taš·bî·ṯū שְּׂאֹ֖ר the leaven śə·’ōr מִבָּתֵּיכֶ֑ם from your houses . mib·bāt·tê·ḵem כִּ֣י׀ . . . kî כָּל־ Whoever kāl- אֹכֵ֣ל eats ’ō·ḵêl חָמֵ֗ץ anything leavened ḥā·mêṣ הָרִאשֹׁ֖ן from the first hā·ri·šōn מִיּ֥וֹם day mî·yō·wm עַד־ through ‘aḏ- הַשְּׁבִעִֽי׃ the seventh haš·šə·ḇi·‘î י֥וֹם . . . yō·wm וְנִכְרְתָ֞ה must be cut off wə·niḵ·rə·ṯāh הַנֶּ֤פֶשׁ . . . han·ne·p̄eš הַהִוא֙ . . . ha·hi·w מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֔ל from Israel . mî·yiś·rā·’êl Exodus 12:16 הָרִאשׁוֹן֙ On the first hā·ri·šō·wn וּבַיּ֤וֹם day ū·ḇay·yō·wm יִהְיֶ֣ה you are to hold yih·yeh לָכֶ֑ם lā·ḵem כָּל־ - kāl- קֹ֔דֶשׁ a sacred qō·ḏeš מִקְרָא־ assembly , miq·rā- קֹ֖דֶשׁ and another qō·ḏeš מִקְרָא־ . . . miq·rā- הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י on the seventh haš·šə·ḇî·‘î וּבַיּוֹם֙ day . ū·ḇay·yō·wm בָהֶ֔ם You must ḇā·hem לֹא־ not lō- יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה do yê·‘ā·śeh מְלָאכָה֙ any work mə·lā·ḵāh אַ֚ךְ on those days , ’aḵ אֲשֶׁ֣ר except to prepare ’ă·šer יֵאָכֵ֣ל the meals yê·’ā·ḵêl נֶ֔פֶשׁ - ne·p̄eš לְכָל־ - — lə·ḵāl ה֥וּא that hū לְבַדּ֖וֹ is all lə·ḇad·dōw יֵעָשֶׂ֥ה you may do yê·‘ā·śeh לָכֶֽם׃ . lā·ḵem Exodus 12:17 וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֮ So you are to keep ū·šə·mar·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמַּצּוֹת֒ the Feast of Unleavened Bread , ham·maṣ·ṣō·wṯ כִּ֗י for kî הַזֶּ֔ה on this haz·zeh בְּעֶ֙צֶם֙ very bə·‘e·ṣem הַיּ֣וֹם day hay·yō·wm הוֹצֵ֥אתִי I brought hō·w·ṣê·ṯî צִבְאוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם your divisions ṣiḇ·’ō·w·ṯê·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֵאֶ֣רֶץ out of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֞ם You must keep ū·šə·mar·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֛ה this haz·zeh הַיּ֥וֹם day hay·yō·wm עוֹלָֽם׃ as a permanent ‘ō·w·lām חֻקַּ֥ת statute ḥuq·qaṯ לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶ֖ם for the generations to come . lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem Exodus 12:18 בָּרִאשֹׁ֡ן In the first [month] bā·ri·šōn תֹּאכְל֖וּ you are to eat tō·ḵə·lū מַצֹּ֑ת unleavened bread , maṣ·ṣōṯ בָּעֶ֔רֶב from the evening bā·‘e·reḇ בְּאַרְבָּעָה֩ of the fourteenth bə·’ar·bā·‘āh עָשָׂ֨ר . . . ‘ā·śār י֤וֹם day yō·wm לַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ . . . la·ḥō·ḏeš עַ֠ד until ‘aḏ בָּעָֽרֶב׃ the evening bā·‘ā·reḇ הָאֶחָ֧ד of the twenty-first hā·’e·ḥāḏ וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים . . . wə·‘eś·rîm לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ . . . la·ḥō·ḏeš י֣וֹם day . yō·wm Exodus 12:19 שִׁבְעַ֣ת For seven šiḇ·‘aṯ יָמִ֔ים days yā·mîm לֹ֥א there must be no lō שְׂאֹ֕ר leaven śə·’ōr יִמָּצֵ֖א found yim·mā·ṣê בְּבָתֵּיכֶ֑ם in your houses . bə·ḇāt·tê·ḵem כִּ֣י׀ If kî כָּל־ anyone kāl- אֹכֵ֣ל eats ’ō·ḵêl מַחְמֶ֗צֶת something leavened , maḥ·me·ṣeṯ הַהִוא֙ that ha·hi·w הַנֶּ֤פֶשׁ person , han·ne·p̄eš
