חֻצ֣וֹת as the streets ḥu·ṣō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם of Jerusalem . ’ yə·rū·šā·lim Jeremiah 11:14 וְאַתָּ֗ה As for you , wə·’at·tāh אַל־ do not ’al- תִּתְפַּלֵּל֙ pray tiṯ·pal·lêl בְּעַד־ for bə·‘aḏ- הַזֶּ֔ה these haz·zeh הָעָ֣ם people . hā·‘ām וְאַל־ Do not wə·’al- תִּשָּׂ֥א raise up tiś·śā רִנָּ֣ה a cry rin·nāh וּתְפִלָּ֑ה or a prayer ū·ṯə·p̄il·lāh בַעֲדָ֖ם on their behalf , ḇa·‘ă·ḏām כִּ֣י for kî אֵינֶ֣נִּי I will not ’ê·nen·nî שֹׁמֵ֗עַ be listening šō·mê·a‘ קָרְאָ֥ם when they call out qā·rə·’ām אֵלַ֖י to Me ’ê·lay בְּעַ֥ד . . . bə·‘aḏ בְּעֵ֛ת in their time bə·‘êṯ רָעָתָֽם׃ס of disaster . rā·‘ā·ṯām Jeremiah 11:15 מֶ֣ה What right meh לִֽידִידִ֞י has My beloved lî·ḏî·ḏî בְּבֵיתִ֗י in My house , bə·ḇê·ṯî עֲשׂוֹתָ֤הּ having carried out ‘ă·śō·w·ṯāh הָֽרַבִּ֔ים so many hā·rab·bîm הַֽמְזִמָּ֙תָה֙ evil schemes ? ham·zim·mā·ṯāh קֹ֖דֶשׁ Can consecrated qō·ḏeš וּבְשַׂר־ meat ū·ḇə·śar- יַעַבְר֣וּ avert ya·‘aḇ·rū מֵֽעָלָ֑יִךְ . . . mê·‘ā·lā·yiḵ כִּ֥י . . . kî רָעָתֵ֖כִי your doom , rā·‘ā·ṯê·ḵî אָ֥ז so that ’āz תַּעֲלֹֽזִי׃ you can rejoice ? ta·‘ă·lō·zî Jeremiah 11:16 יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh קָרָ֥א once called qā·rā שְׁמֵ֑ךְ you šə·mêḵ רַֽעֲנָן֙ a flourishing ra·‘ă·nān זַ֤יִת olive tree , za·yiṯ יְפֵ֣ה beautiful yə·p̄êh תֹ֔אַר with well-formed ṯō·’ar פְרִי־ fruit . p̄ə·rî- גְדֹלָ֗ה But with a mighty ḡə·ḏō·lāh לְק֣וֹל׀ roar lə·qō·wl הֲמוּלָּ֣ה . . . hă·mūl·lāh הִצִּ֥ית He will set it on fire hiṣ·ṣîṯ אֵשׁ֙ . . . ’êš עָלֶ֔יהָ . . . , ‘ā·le·hā דָּלִיּוֹתָֽיו׃ and its branches dā·lî·yō·w·ṯāw וְרָע֖וּ will be consumed . wə·rā·‘ū Jeremiah 11:17 וַיהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאוֹת֙ of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ הַנּוֹטֵ֣עַ who planted han·nō·w·ṭê·a‘ אוֹתָ֔ךְ you , ’ō·w·ṯāḵ דִּבֶּ֥ר has decreed dib·ber רָעָ֑ה disaster rā·‘āh עָלַ֖יִךְ against you ‘ā·la·yiḵ בִּ֠גְלַל on account of biḡ·lal רָעַ֨ת the evil that rā·‘aṯ בֵּֽית־ the house bêṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וּבֵ֣ית and the house ū·ḇêṯ יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer עָשׂ֥וּ have brought upon themselves , ‘ā·śū לָהֶ֛ם . . . lā·hem לְהַכְעִסֵ֖נִי provoking Me to anger lə·haḵ·‘i·sê·nî לְקַטֵּ֥ר by burning incense lə·qaṭ·ṭêr לַבָּֽעַל׃ס to Baal .” lab·bā·‘al Jeremiah 11:18 וַֽיהוָ֥ה And YHWH Yah·weh הֽוֹדִיעַ֖נִי informed me , hō·w·ḏî·‘a·nî וָֽאֵדָ֑עָה so I knew . wā·’ê·ḏā·‘āh אָ֖ז Then ’āz הִרְאִיתַ֥נִי You showed me hir·’î·ṯa·nî מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ their deeds . ma·‘al·lê·hem Jeremiah 11:19 וַאֲנִ֕י For I wa·’ă·nî אַלּ֖וּף was like a gentle ’al·lūp̄ כְּכֶ֥בֶשׂ lamb kə·ḵe·ḇeś יוּבַ֣ל led yū·ḇal לִטְב֑וֹחַ to slaughter ; liṭ·ḇō·w·aḥ וְלֹֽא־ I did not wə·lō-
