אֲצַוֶּ֖ה I command you , ’ă·ṣaw·weh אֶתְכֶ֑ם - ’eṯ·ḵem וִהְיִ֤יתֶם and you will be wih·yî·ṯem לִי֙ My lî לְעָ֔ם people , lə·‘ām וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י and I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî אֶהְיֶ֥ה will be ’eh·yeh לָכֶ֖ם your lā·ḵem לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ God .’ lê·lō·hîm Jeremiah 11:5 לְמַעַן֩ [This was] in order to lə·ma·‘an הָקִ֨ים establish hā·qîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַשְּׁבוּעָ֜ה the oath haš·šə·ḇū·‘āh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּי I swore niš·ba‘·tî לַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם to your forefathers , la·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem לָתֵ֤ת to give them lā·ṯêṯ לָהֶם֙ . . . lā·hem אֶ֣רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ זָבַ֥ת flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָ֛ב with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבַ֖שׁ and honey , ū·ḏə·ḇaš כַּיּ֣וֹם as it is to this day kay·yō·wm הַזֶּ֑ה . . . . ” haz·zeh אָמֵ֥ן׀ “ Amen , ’ā·mên יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH ,” Yah·weh וָאַ֥עַן I answered . wā·’a·‘an וָאֹמַ֖ר . . . wā·’ō·mar Jeremiah 11:6 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֵלַ֔י to me , ’ê·lay קְרָ֨א “ Proclaim qə·rā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֤ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm בְּעָרֵ֣י in the cities bə·‘ā·rê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וּבְחֻצ֥וֹת and in the streets ū·ḇə·ḥu·ṣō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם of Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim לֵאמֹ֑ר saying : lê·mōr שִׁמְע֗וּ Hear šim·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דִּבְרֵי֙ the words diḇ·rê הַזֹּ֔את of this haz·zōṯ הַבְּרִ֣ית covenant hab·bə·rîṯ וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם and carry them out . wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem אוֹתָֽם׃ - ’ō·w·ṯām Jeremiah 11:7 כִּי֩ For kî בְּיוֹם֩ from the time bə·yō·wm הַעֲלוֹתִ֨י I brought ha·‘ă·lō·w·ṯî בַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם your fathers ba·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem אוֹתָ֜ם - ’ō·w·ṯām מֵאֶ֤רֶץ out of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וְעַד־ until wə·‘aḏ- הַיּ֣וֹם today hay·yō·wm הַזֶּ֔ה . . . , haz·zeh הָעֵ֨ד I strongly warned them hā·‘êḏ הַעִדֹ֜תִי . . . ha·‘i·ḏō·ṯî הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם again and again haš·kêm וְהָעֵ֖ד . . . , wə·hā·‘êḏ לֵאמֹ֑ר saying , lê·mōr שִׁמְע֖וּ ‘ Obey šim·‘ū בְּקוֹלִֽי׃ My voice . ’ bə·qō·w·lî Jeremiah 11:8 וְלֹ֤א Yet they would wə·lō וְלֹֽא־ not wə·lō- שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ obey šā·mə·‘ū הִטּ֣וּ or incline hiṭ·ṭū אֶת־ ’eṯ- אָזְנָ֔ם their ears , ’ā·zə·nām אִ֕ישׁ but each one ’îš וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ followed way·yê·lə·ḵū בִּשְׁרִיר֖וּת the stubbornness biš·rî·rūṯ הָרָ֑ע of his evil hā·rā‘ לִבָּ֣ם heart . lib·bām וָאָבִ֨יא So I brought wā·’ā·ḇî עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם on ‘ă·lê·hem אֶֽת־ them ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- דִּבְרֵ֧י the curses diḇ·rê הַזֹּ֛את of this haz·zōṯ הַבְּרִית־ covenant hab·bə·rîṯ- אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- צִוִּ֥יתִי I had commanded them ṣiw·wî·ṯî עָשֽׂוּ׃ס to follow ‘ā·śū לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת but they did not keep la·‘ă·śō·wṯ וְלֹ֥א . . . . ” wə·lō
