Jeremiah 9:25 הִנֵּ֛ה “ Behold , hin·nêh יָמִ֥ים the days yā·mîm בָּאִ֖ים are coming , ” bā·’îm נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh וּפָ֣קַדְתִּ֔י “ when I will punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî עַל־ . . . ‘al- כָּל־ all who are kāl- מ֖וּל circumcised mūl בְּעָרְלָֽה׃ yet uncircumcised : bə·‘ā·rə·lāh Jeremiah 9:26 עַל־ - ‘al- מִצְרַ֣יִם Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- יְהוּדָ֗ה Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- אֱד֞וֹם Edom , ’ĕ·ḏō·wm וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- בְּנֵ֤י vvv bə·nê עַמּוֹן֙ Ammon , ‘am·mō·wn וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- מוֹאָ֔ב Moab , mō·w·’āḇ וְעַל֙ . . . wə·‘al כָּל־ and all kāl- הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים the inhabitants hay·yō·šə·ḇîm בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר of the desert bam·miḏ·bār כִּ֤י . . . kî קְצוּצֵ֣י who clip the hair qə·ṣū·ṣê פֵאָ֔ה of their temples . p̄ê·’āh כָל־ For all ḵāl הַגּוֹיִם֙ these nations hag·gō·w·yim עֲרֵלִ֔ים [are] uncircumcised , ‘ă·rê·lîm וְכָל־ and the whole wə·ḵāl בֵּ֥ית house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl עַרְלֵי־ is uncircumcised ‘ar·lê- לֵֽב׃ס in heart .” lêḇ Jeremiah 10:1 שִׁמְע֣וּ Hear šim·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדָּבָ֗ר the word had·dā·ḇār אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֧ר speaks dib·ber עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם to you , ‘ă·lê·ḵem בֵּ֥ית O house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Jeremiah 10:2 כֹּ֣ה׀ This is what kōh יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶל־ . . . ’el- אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּלְמָ֔דוּ learn til·mā·ḏū דֶּ֤רֶךְ the ways de·reḵ הַגּוֹיִם֙ of the nations hag·gō·w·yim תֵּחָ֑תּוּ or be terrified tê·ḥāt·tū וּמֵאֹת֥וֹת by the signs ū·mê·’ō·ṯō·wṯ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם in the heavens haš·šā·ma·yim אַל־ . . . , ’al- כִּֽי־ though kî- הַגּוֹיִ֖ם the nations [themselves] hag·gō·w·yim יֵחַ֥תּוּ are terrified yê·ḥat·tū מֵהֵֽמָּה׃ by them . mê·hêm·māh Jeremiah 10:3 כִּֽי־ For kî- חֻקּ֥וֹת the customs ḥuq·qō·wṯ הָֽעַמִּ֖ים of the peoples hā·‘am·mîm הֶ֣בֶל are worthless ; he·ḇel ה֑וּא . . . hū כִּֽי־ . . . kî- כְּרָת֔וֹ they cut down kə·rā·ṯōw עֵץ֙ a tree ‘êṣ מִיַּ֣עַר from the forest ; mî·ya·‘ar מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה it is shaped ma·‘ă·śêh בַּֽמַּעֲצָֽד׃ with a chisel bam·ma·‘ă·ṣāḏ יְדֵ֥י־ by the hands yə·ḏê- חָרָ֖שׁ of a craftsman . ḥā·rāš Jeremiah 10:4 יְיַפֵּ֑הוּ They adorn it yə·yap·pê·hū בְּכֶ֥סֶף with silver bə·ḵe·sep̄ וּבְזָהָ֖ב and gold ū·ḇə·zā·hāḇ יְחַזְּק֖וּם and fasten it yə·ḥaz·zə·qūm וּבְמַקָּב֛וֹת with hammer ū·ḇə·maq·qā·ḇō·wṯ בְּמַסְמְר֧וֹת and nails , bə·mas·mə·rō·wṯ וְל֥וֹא so that it will not wə·lō·w יָפִֽיק׃ totter . yā·p̄îq
