Exodus 10:22 מֹשֶׁ֛ה So Moses mō·šeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיֵּ֥ט stretched out way·yêṭ יָד֖וֹ his hand yā·ḏōw עַל־ toward ‘al- הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם heaven , haš·šā·mā·yim אֲפֵלָ֛ה and total ’ă·p̄ê·lāh חֹֽשֶׁךְ־ darkness ḥō·šeḵ- וַיְהִ֧י covered way·hî בְּכָל־ all bə·ḵāl אֶ֥רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֖יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת for three šə·lō·šeṯ יָמִֽים׃ days . yā·mîm Exodus 10:23 לֹֽא־ No lō- אִ֣ישׁ one ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רָא֞וּ could see rā·’ū אָחִ֗יו anyone else , ’ā·ḥîw שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת and for three šə·lō·šeṯ יָמִ֑ים days yā·mîm וְלֹא־ no one wə·lō- קָ֛מוּ left qā·mū אִ֥ישׁ . . . ’îš מִתַּחְתָּ֖יו his place . mit·taḥ·tāw וּֽלְכָל־ Yet all ū·lə·ḵāl- בְּנֵ֧י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl הָ֥יָה had hā·yāh א֖וֹר light ’ō·wr בְּמוֹשְׁבֹתָֽם׃ in their dwellings . bə·mō·wō·šə·ḇō·ṯām Exodus 10:24 פַרְעֹ֜ה Then Pharaoh p̄ar·‘ōh אֶל־ . . . ’el- וַיִּקְרָ֨א summoned way·yiq·rā מֹשֶׁ֗ה Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ and said , way·yō·mer לְכוּ֙ “ Go , lə·ḵū עִבְד֣וּ worship ‘iḇ·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH . Yah·weh גַּֽם־ Even gam- טַפְּכֶ֖ם your little ones ṭap·pə·ḵem יֵלֵ֥ךְ may go yê·lêḵ עִמָּכֶֽם׃ with you ; ‘im·mā·ḵem רַ֛ק only raq צֹאנְכֶ֥ם your flocks ṣō·nə·ḵem וּבְקַרְכֶ֖ם and herds ū·ḇə·qar·ḵem יֻצָּ֑ג must stay behind . ” yuṣ·ṣāḡ Exodus 10:25 מֹשֶׁ֔ה But Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר replied , way·yō·mer אַתָּ֛ה “ You ’at·tāh גַּם־ must also gam- תִּתֵּ֥ן provide us tit·tên בְּיָדֵ֖נוּ with bə·yā·ḏê·nū זְבָחִ֣ים sacrifices zə·ḇā·ḥîm וְעֹל֑וֹת and burnt offerings wə·‘ō·lō·wṯ וְעָשִׂ֖ינוּ to present wə·‘ā·śî·nū לַיהוָ֥ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ our God . ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū Exodus 10:26 וְגַם־ Even wə·ḡam- מִקְנֵ֜נוּ our livestock miq·nê·nū יֵלֵ֣ךְ must go yê·lêḵ עִמָּ֗נוּ with us ; ‘im·mā·nū לֹ֤א not lō פַּרְסָ֔ה a hoof par·sāh תִשָּׁאֵר֙ will be left behind , ṯiš·šā·’êr כִּ֚י for kî נִקַּ֔ח we will need niq·qaḥ מִמֶּ֣נּוּ some of them mim·men·nū לַעֲבֹ֖ד to worship la·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ and we will wa·’ă·naḥ·nū לֹֽא־ not lō- נֵדַ֗ע know nê·ḏa‘ מַֽה־ how mah- נַּעֲבֹד֙ we are to worship na·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- בֹּאֵ֖נוּ we arrive bō·’ê·nū שָֽׁמָּה׃ . . . . ” šām·māh
