Isaiah 66:1 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם “ Heaven haš·šā·ma·yim כִּסְאִ֔י is My throne , kis·’î וְהָאָ֖רֶץ and earth wə·hā·’ā·reṣ הֲדֹ֣ם is My footstool hă·ḏōm רַגְלָ֑י . . . . raḡ·lāy אֵי־ What kind ’ê- זֶ֥ה . . . zeh בַ֙יִת֙ of house ḇa·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer תִּבְנוּ־ will you build tiḇ·nū- לִ֔י for Me ? lî וְאֵי־ Or where [will] wə·’ê- זֶ֥ה . . . zeh מָק֖וֹם My place mā·qō·wm מְנוּחָתִֽי׃ of repose [be] ? mə·nū·ḥā·ṯî Isaiah 66:2 יָדִ֣י [Has not] My hand yā·ḏî עָשָׂ֔תָה made ‘ā·śā·ṯāh כָל־ all ḵāl אֵ֙לֶּה֙ these things ? ’êl·leh אֵ֖לֶּה And so they ’êl·leh וַיִּהְי֥וּ came into being , ” way·yih·yū נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH . Yah·weh וְאֶל־ “ . . . wə·’el- זֶ֣ה This is the one zeh אַבִּ֔יט I will esteem ’ab·bîṭ אֶל־ . . . : ’el- עָנִי֙ he who is humble ‘ā·nî וּנְכֵה־ and contrite ū·nə·ḵêh- ר֔וּחַ in spirit , rū·aḥ וְחָרֵ֖ד who trembles wə·ḥā·rêḏ עַל־ at ‘al- דְּבָרִֽי׃ My word . də·ḇā·rî וְאֶת־ wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ - kāl- Isaiah 66:3 שׁוֹחֵ֨ט Whoever slaughters šō·w·ḥêṭ הַשּׁ֜וֹר an ox haš·šō·wr מַכֵּה־ is [like] one who slays mak·kêh- אִ֗ישׁ a man ; ’îš זוֹבֵ֤חַ whoever sacrifices zō·w·ḇê·aḥ הַשֶּׂה֙ a lamb haś·śeh כֶּ֔לֶב [is like] one who breaks a dog’s ke·leḇ עֹ֣רֵֽף neck ; ‘ō·rêp̄ מַעֲלֵ֤ה whoever presents ma·‘ă·lêh מִנְחָה֙ a grain offering min·ḥāh מַזְכִּ֥יר [is like] one who offers maz·kîr חֲזִ֔יר pig’s ḥă·zîr דַּם־ blood ; dam- לְבֹנָ֖ה whoever offers frankincense lə·ḇō·nāh מְבָ֣רֵֽךְ [is like] one who blesses mə·ḇā·rêḵ אָ֑וֶן an idol . ’ā·wen גַּם־ Indeed , gam- הֵ֗מָּה they hêm·māh בָּֽחֲרוּ֙ have chosen bā·ḥă·rū בְּדַרְכֵיהֶ֔ם their own ways bə·ḏar·ḵê·hem חָפֵֽצָה׃ and delighted ḥā·p̄ê·ṣāh וּבְשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם in their abominations ū·ḇə·šiq·qū·ṣê·hem נַפְשָׁ֥ם . . . . nap̄·šām Isaiah 66:4 גַּם־ So gam- אֲנִ֞י I ’ă·nî אֶבְחַ֣ר will choose ’eḇ·ḥar בְּתַעֲלֻלֵיהֶ֗ם their punishment bə·ṯa·‘ă·lu·lê·hem אָבִ֣יא and I will bring ’ā·ḇî וּמְגֽוּרֹתָם֙ terror ū·mə·ḡū·rō·ṯām לָהֶ֔ם upon them , lā·hem יַ֤עַן because ya·‘an קָרָ֙אתִי֙ I called qā·rā·ṯî וְאֵ֣ין and no wə·’ên עוֹנֶ֔ה one answered , ‘ō·w·neh דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי I spoke dib·bar·tî וְלֹ֣א and no one wə·lō שָׁמֵ֑עוּ listened . šā·mê·‘ū וַיַּעֲשׂ֤וּ But they did way·ya·‘ă·śū הָרַע֙ evil hā·ra‘ בְּעֵינַ֔י in My sight bə·‘ê·nay בָּחָֽרוּ׃ס and chose bā·ḥā·rū וּבַאֲשֶׁ֥ר that in which ū·ḇa·’ă·šer לֹֽא־ I did not lō- חָפַ֖צְתִּי delight . ” ḥā·p̄aṣ·tî Isaiah 66:5 הַחֲרֵדִ֖ים You who tremble ha·ḥă·rê·ḏîm אֶל־ at ’el- דְּבָר֑וֹ His word , də·ḇā·rōw
