הָרִ֥ים so that mountains hā·rîm נָזֹֽלּוּ׃ would quake nā·zōl·lū מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ at Your presence , mip·pā·ne·ḵā Isaiah 64:2 אֵ֣שׁ as fire ’êš כִּקְדֹ֧חַ kindles kiq·ḏō·aḥ הֲמָסִ֗ים the brushwood hă·mā·sîm אֵ֔שׁ [and] ’êš מַ֚יִם causes the water ma·yim תִּבְעֶה־ to boil , tiḇ·‘eh- שִׁמְךָ֖ to make Your name šim·ḵā לְהוֹדִ֥יעַ known lə·hō·w·ḏî·a‘ לְצָרֶ֑יךָ to Your enemies , lə·ṣā·re·ḵā גּוֹיִ֥ם so that the nations gō·w·yim יִרְגָּֽזוּ׃ will tremble yir·gā·zū מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ at Your presence ! mip·pā·ne·ḵā Isaiah 64:3 בַּעֲשׂוֹתְךָ֥ When You did ba·‘ă·śō·wṯ·ḵā נוֹרָא֖וֹת awesome works nō·w·rā·’ō·wṯ לֹ֣א that we did not lō נְקַוֶּ֑ה expect , nə·qaw·weh יָרַ֕דְתָּ You came down , yā·raḏ·tā הָרִ֥ים and the mountains hā·rîm נָזֹֽלּוּ׃ trembled nā·zōl·lū מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ at Your presence . mip·pā·ne·ḵā Isaiah 64:4 וּמֵעוֹלָ֥ם From ancient times ū·mê·‘ō·w·lām לֹא־ no lō- שָׁמְע֖וּ one has heard , šā·mə·‘ū לֹ֣א no lō הֶאֱזִ֑ינוּ ear has perceived , he·’ĕ·zî·nū לֹֽא־ no lō- עַ֣יִן eye ‘a·yin רָאָ֗תָה has seen rā·’ā·ṯāh אֱלֹהִים֙ any God ’ĕ·lō·hîm זוּלָ֣תְךָ֔ besides You , zū·lā·ṯə·ḵā יַעֲשֶׂ֖ה who acts ya·‘ă·śeh לִמְחַכֵּה־ on behalf of those who wait lim·ḥak·kêh- לֽוֹ׃ for Him . lōw Isaiah 64:5 פָּגַ֤עְתָּ You welcome pā·ḡa‘·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שָׂשׂ֙ those who gladly śāś וְעֹ֣שֵׂה do wə·‘ō·śêh צֶ֔דֶק right , ṣe·ḏeq יִזְכְּר֑וּךָ who remember yiz·kə·rū·ḵā בִּדְרָכֶ֖יךָ Your ways . biḏ·rā·ḵe·ḵā הֵן־ Surely hên- אַתָּ֤ה You ’at·tāh קָצַ֙פְתָּ֙ were angry , qā·ṣap̄·tā וַֽנֶּחֱטָ֔א for we sinned . wan·ne·ḥĕ·ṭā בָּהֶ֥ם - bā·hem וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃ How can we be saved wə·niw·wā·šê·a‘ עוֹלָ֖ם if we remain in our sins ? ‘ō·w·lām Isaiah 64:6 כֻּלָּ֔נוּ Each of us kul·lā·nū וַנְּהִ֤י has become wan·nə·hî כַטָּמֵא֙ like something unclean , ḵaṭ·ṭā·mê כָּל־ and all kāl- צִדְקֹתֵ֑ינוּ our righteous acts ṣiḏ·qō·ṯê·nū עִדִּ֖ים are like filthy ‘id·dîm וּכְבֶ֥גֶד rags ; ū·ḵə·ḇe·ḡeḏ כֻּלָּ֔נוּ we all kul·lā·nū וַנָּ֤בֶל wither wan·nā·ḇel כֶּֽעָלֶה֙ like a leaf , ke·‘ā·leh וַעֲוֺנֵ֖נוּ and our iniquities wa·‘ă·wō·nê·nū יִשָּׂאֻֽנוּ׃ carry us away yiś·śā·’u·nū כָּר֥וּחַ like the wind . kā·rū·aḥ Isaiah 64:7 וְאֵין־ No wə·’ên- קוֹרֵ֣א one calls qō·w·rê בְשִׁמְךָ֔ on Your name ḇə·šim·ḵā מִתְעוֹרֵ֖ר [or] strives miṯ·‘ō·w·rêr לְהַחֲזִ֣יק to take hold lə·ha·ḥă·zîq בָּ֑ךְ of You . bāḵ כִּֽי־ For kî- הִסְתַּ֤רְתָּ You have hidden his·tar·tā פָנֶ֙יךָ֙ Your face p̄ā·ne·ḵā מִמֶּ֔נּוּ from us mim·men·nū וַתְּמוּגֵ֖נוּ and delivered us wat·tə·mū·ḡê·nū בְּיַד־ into the hand bə·yaḏ- עֲוֺנֵֽנוּ׃ of our iniquity . ‘ă·wō·nê·nū Isaiah 64:8 וְעַתָּ֥ה But now , wə·‘at·tāh יְהוָ֖ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אָ֑תָּה You ’āt·tāh
