כַּסּ֥וּס like a horse kas·sūs בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר in the wilderness , bam·miḏ·bār לֹ֥א so that they did not lō יִכָּשֵֽׁלוּ׃ stumble ? yik·kā·šê·lū Isaiah 63:14 כַּבְּהֵמָה֙ Like cattle kab·bə·hê·māh תֵרֵ֔ד going down ṯê·rêḏ בַּבִּקְעָ֣ה to the valley , bab·biq·‘āh ר֥וּחַ the Spirit rū·aḥ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh תְּנִיחֶ֑נּוּ gave them rest . tə·nî·ḥen·nū נִהַ֣גְתָּ You led ni·haḡ·tā עַמְּךָ֔ Your people ‘am·mə·ḵā כֵּ֚ן this way kên לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to make la·‘ă·śō·wṯ לְךָ֖ for Yourself lə·ḵā תִּפְאָֽרֶת׃ a glorious tip̄·’ā·reṯ שֵׁ֥ם name . šêm Isaiah 63:15 הַבֵּ֤ט Look down hab·bêṭ מִשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ from heaven miš·šā·ma·yim וּרְאֵ֔ה and see , ū·rə·’êh קָדְשְׁךָ֖ from Your holy qāḏ·šə·ḵā וְתִפְאַרְתֶּ֑ךָ and glorious wə·ṯip̄·’ar·te·ḵā מִזְּבֻ֥ל habitation . miz·zə·ḇul אַיֵּ֤ה Where ’ay·yêh קִנְאָֽתְךָ֙ are Your zeal qin·’ā·ṯə·ḵā וּגְב֣וּרֹתֶ֔ךָ and might ? ū·ḡə·ḇū·rō·ṯe·ḵā הֲמ֥וֹן Your yearning hă·mō·wn מֵעֶ֛יךָ . . . mê·‘e·ḵā וְֽרַחֲמֶ֖יךָ and compassion wə·ra·ḥă·me·ḵā אֵלַ֥י for me ’ê·lay הִתְאַפָּֽקוּ׃ are restrained . hiṯ·’ap·pā·qū Isaiah 63:16 כִּֽי־ Yet kî- אַתָּ֣ה You ’at·tāh אָבִ֔ינוּ are our Father , ’ā·ḇî·nū כִּ֤י though kî אַבְרָהָם֙ Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām לֹ֣א does not lō יְדָעָ֔נוּ know us yə·ḏā·‘ā·nū וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל and Israel wə·yiś·rā·’êl לֹ֣א does not lō יַכִּירָ֑נוּ acknowledge us . yak·kî·rā·nū אַתָּ֤ה You , ’at·tāh יְהוָה֙ O YHWH , Yah·weh אָבִ֔ינוּ are our Father ; ’ā·ḇî·nū גֹּאֲלֵ֥נוּ our Redeemer gō·’ă·lê·nū מֵֽעוֹלָ֖ם from Everlasting mê·‘ō·w·lām שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ is Your name . šə·me·ḵā Isaiah 63:17 לָ֣מָּה Why , lām·māh יְהוָה֙ O YHWH , Yah·weh תַתְעֵ֤נוּ do You make us stray ṯaṯ·‘ê·nū מִדְּרָכֶ֔יךָ from Your ways mid·də·rā·ḵe·ḵā תַּקְשִׁ֥יחַ [and] harden taq·šî·aḥ לִבֵּ֖נוּ our hearts lib·bê·nū מִיִּרְאָתֶ֑ךָ from fearing You ? mî·yir·’ā·ṯe·ḵā שׁ֚וּב Return , ūḇ לְמַ֣עַן for the sake lə·ma·‘an עֲבָדֶ֔יךָ of Your servants , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā שִׁבְטֵ֖י the tribes šiḇ·ṭê נַחֲלָתֶֽךָ׃ of Your heritage . na·ḥă·lā·ṯe·ḵā Isaiah 63:18 לַמִּצְעָ֕ר For a short while lam·miṣ·‘ār עַם־ Your people ‘am- יָרְשׁ֖וּ possessed yā·rə·šū קָדְשֶׁ֑ךָ Your holy place , qāḏ·še·ḵā צָרֵ֕ינוּ but our enemies ṣā·rê·nū בּוֹסְס֖וּ have trampled bō·ws·sū מִקְדָּשֶֽׁךָ׃ Your sanctuary . miq·dā·še·ḵā Isaiah 63:19 הָיִ֗ינוּ We have become hā·yî·nū מֵֽעוֹלָם֙ like those You never mê·‘ō·w·lām לֹֽא־ . . . lō- מָשַׁ֣לְתָּ ruled mā·šal·tā בָּ֔ם , bām לֹֽא־ like those not lō- נִקְרָ֥א called niq·rā שִׁמְךָ֖ by Your name šim·ḵā עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם . . . . ‘ă·lê·hem Isaiah 64:1 לוּא־ If only lū- קָרַ֤עְתָּ You would rend qā·ra‘·tā שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ the heavens šā·ma·yim יָרַ֔דְתָּ and come down , yā·raḏ·tā
