דְרוּשָׁ֔ה Sought Out , ḏə·rū·šāh עִ֖יר A City ‘îr לֹ֥א Not lō נֶעֱזָֽבָה׃ס Forsaken . ne·‘ĕ·zā·ḇāh Isaiah 63:1 מִי־ Who mî- זֶ֣ה׀ is this zeh בָּ֣א coming bā מֵאֱד֗וֹם from Edom , mê·’ĕ·ḏō·wm מִבָּצְרָ֔ה from Bozrah mib·bā·ṣə·rāh חֲמ֤וּץ with crimson-stained ḥă·mūṣ בְּגָדִים֙ garments ? bə·ḡā·ḏîm זֶ֚ה Who is this zeh בִּלְבוּשׁ֔וֹ robed bil·ḇū·šōw הָד֣וּר in splendor , hā·ḏūr צֹעֶ֖ה marching ṣō·‘eh בְּרֹ֣ב in the greatness bə·rōḇ כֹּח֑וֹ of His strength ? kō·ḥōw אֲנִ֛י “ It is I , ’ă·nî מְדַבֵּ֥ר proclaiming mə·ḏab·bêr בִּצְדָקָ֖ה vindication , biṣ·ḏā·qāh רַ֥ב mighty raḇ לְהוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ to save . ” lə·hō·wō·šî·a‘ Isaiah 63:2 מַדּ֥וּעַ Why mad·dū·a‘ לִלְבוּשֶׁ֑ךָ are Your clothes lil·ḇū·še·ḵā אָדֹ֖ם red , ’ā·ḏōm וּבְגָדֶ֖יךָ and Your garments ū·ḇə·ḡā·ḏe·ḵā כְּדֹרֵ֥ךְ like one who treads kə·ḏō·rêḵ בְּגַֽת׃ the winepress ? bə·ḡaṯ Isaiah 63:3 דָּרַ֣כְתִּי “ I have trodden dā·raḵ·tî פּוּרָ֣ה׀ the winepress alone pū·rāh לְבַדִּ֗י . . . , lə·ḇad·dî אֵֽין־ and no ’ên- אִ֣ישׁ one ’îš וּמֵֽעַמִּים֙ from the nations ū·mê·‘am·mîm אִתִּ֔י was with Me . ’it·tî וְאֶדְרְכֵ֣ם I trampled them wə·’eḏ·rə·ḵêm בְּאַפִּ֔י in My anger bə·’ap·pî וְאֶרְמְסֵ֖ם and trod them down wə·’er·mə·sêm בַּחֲמָתִ֑י in My fury ; ba·ḥă·mā·ṯî נִצְחָם֙ their blood niṣ·ḥām עַל־ . . . ‘al- וְיֵ֤ז spattered wə·yêz בְּגָדַ֔י My garments , bə·ḡā·ḏay וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl מַלְבּוּשַׁ֖י My clothes mal·bū·šay אֶגְאָֽלְתִּי׃ were stained . ’eḡ·’ā·lə·tî Isaiah 63:4 כִּ֛י For kî י֥וֹם the day yō·wm נָקָ֖ם of vengeance nā·qām בְּלִבִּ֑י was in My heart , bə·lib·bî וּשְׁנַ֥ת and the year ū·šə·naṯ גְּאוּלַ֖י of My redemption gə·’ū·lay בָּֽאָה׃ had come . bā·’āh Isaiah 63:5 וְאַבִּיט֙ I looked , wə·’ab·bîṭ וְאֵ֣ין but there was no one wə·’ên עֹזֵ֔ר to help ; ‘ō·zêr וְאֶשְׁתּוֹמֵ֖ם I was appalled wə·’eš·tō·w·mêm וְאֵ֣ין that no wə·’ên סוֹמֵ֑ךְ one assisted . sō·w·mêḵ זְרֹעִ֔י So My arm zə·rō·‘î וַתּ֤וֹשַֽׁע brought Me salvation wat·tō·wō·ša‘ לִי֙ . . . , lî וַחֲמָתִ֖י and My own wrath wa·ḥă·mā·ṯî הִ֥יא . . . hî סְמָכָֽתְנִי׃ upheld Me . sə·mā·ḵā·ṯə·nî Isaiah 63:6 וְאָב֤וּס I trampled wə·’ā·ḇūs עַמִּים֙ the nations ‘am·mîm בְּאַפִּ֔י in My anger ; bə·’ap·pî בַּחֲמָתִ֑י in My wrath ba·ḥă·mā·ṯî וַאֲשַׁכְּרֵ֖ם I made them drunk wa·’ă·šak·kə·rêm וְאוֹרִ֥יד and poured out wə·’ō·w·rîḏ נִצְחָֽם׃ס their blood niṣ·ḥām לָאָ֖רֶץ on the ground . ” lā·’ā·reṣ Isaiah 63:7 אַזְכִּיר֙ I will make known ’az·kîr יְהוָ֤ה׀ YHWH’s Yah·weh חַֽסְדֵ֨י loving devotion ḥas·ḏê יְהוָ֔ה and [His] Yah·weh תְּהִלֹּ֣ת praiseworthy acts , tə·hil·lōṯ כְּעַ֕ל because of kə·‘al
