אָדָ֖םfor a man’ā·ḏām
עַנּ֥וֹתto deny‘an·nō·wṯ
נַפְשׁ֑וֹ himself , nap̄·šōw
הֲלָכֹ֨ףto bowhă·lā·ḵōp̄
רֹאשׁ֗וֹhis headrō·šōw
כְּאַגְמֹ֜ן like a reed , kə·’aḡ·mōn
יַצִּ֔יעַand to spread outyaṣ·ṣî·a‘
וְשַׂ֤קsackclothwə·śaq
וָאֵ֙פֶר֙and ashes ?wā·’ê·p̄er
תִּקְרָא־Will you calltiq·rā-
הֲלָזֶה֙thishă·lā·zeh
צ֔וֹםa fastṣō·wm
וְי֥וֹםand a daywə·yō·wm
רָצ֖וֹןacceptablerā·ṣō·wn
לַיהוָֽה׃to YHWH ?Yah·weh

חַרְצֻבּ֣וֹתthe chainsḥar·ṣub·bō·wṯ
רֶ֔שַׁע of wickedness , re·ša‘
הַתֵּ֖רto untiehat·têr
אֲגֻדּ֣וֹתthe cords’ă·ḡud·dō·wṯ
מוֹטָ֑ה of the yoke , mō·w·ṭāh
וְשַׁלַּ֤חto setwə·šal·laḥ
רְצוּצִים֙the oppressedrə·ṣū·ṣîm
חָפְשִׁ֔יםfreeḥā·p̄ə·šîm
תְּנַתֵּֽקוּ׃and tear offtə·nat·tê·qū
וְכָל־everywə·ḵāl
מוֹטָ֖הyoke ?mō·w·ṭāh
Isaiah 58:7הֲל֨וֹאIsn’t [it]hă·lō·w
פָרֹ֤סto sharep̄ā·rōs
לַחְמֶ֔ךָyour breadlaḥ·me·ḵā
לָֽרָעֵב֙ with the hungry , lā·rā·‘êḇ
וַעֲנִיִּ֥יםto bring the poorwa·‘ă·nî·yîm
מְרוּדִ֖יםand homelessmə·rū·ḏîm
תָּ֣בִיאintotā·ḇî
בָ֑יִת your home , ḇā·yiṯ
וְכִסִּית֔וֹto clothewə·ḵis·sî·ṯōw
עָרֹם֙the naked‘ā·rōm
כִּֽי־whenkî-
תִרְאֶ֤ה you see him , ṯir·’eh
לֹ֥אand not
תִתְעַלָּֽם׃to turn awayṯiṯ·‘al·lām
וּמִבְּשָׂרְךָ֖from your own flesh and blood ?ū·mib·bə·śā·rə·ḵā

אוֹרֶ֔ךָyour light’ō·w·re·ḵā
יִבָּקַ֤עwill break forthyib·bā·qa‘
כַּשַּׁ֙חַר֙ like the dawn , kaš·ša·ḥar
וַאֲרֻכָתְךָ֖and your healingwa·’ă·ru·ḵā·ṯə·ḵā
תִצְמָ֑חwill comeṯiṣ·māḥ
מְהֵרָ֣הquickly .mə·hê·rāh
צִדְקֶ֔ךָYour righteousnessṣiḏ·qe·ḵā
וְהָלַ֤ךְwill gowə·hā·laḵ
לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ before you , lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā
כְּב֥וֹדand the glorykə·ḇō·wḏ
יְהוָ֖הof YHWHYah·weh
יַאַסְפֶֽךָ׃will be your rear guard .ya·’as·p̄e·ḵā
Isaiah 58:9אָ֤זThen’āz
תִּקְרָא֙ you will call , tiq·rā
וַיהוָ֣הand YHWHYah·weh
יַעֲנֶ֔הwill answer ;ya·‘ă·neh
תְּשַׁוַּ֖ע you will cry out , tə·šaw·wa‘
וְיֹאמַ֣ר and He will say , wə·yō·mar
הִנֵּ֑נִי‘ Here I am .’hin·nê·nî
אִם־If’im-
תָּסִ֤ירyou removetā·sîr
מוֹטָ֔הthe yokemō·w·ṭāh
מִתּֽוֹכְךָ֙ from your midst , mit·tō·wḵ·ḵā
שְׁלַ֥חthe pointingšə·laḥ
אֶצְבַּ֖עof the finger’eṣ·ba‘
אָֽוֶן׃and malicious’ā·wen
וְדַבֶּר־ talk , wə·ḏab·ber-
Isaiah 58:10וְתָפֵ֤קand if you givewə·ṯā·p̄êq
נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָyourselfnap̄·še·ḵā
לָֽרָעֵב֙to the hungrylā·rā·‘êḇ
תַּשְׂבִּ֑יעַand satisfytaś·bî·a‘
נַעֲנָ֖הthe afflictedna·‘ă·nāh
וְנֶ֥פֶשׁ soul , wə·ne·p̄eš
אוֹרֶ֔ךָthen your light’ō·w·re·ḵā
וְזָרַ֤חwill go forthwə·zā·raḥ
