Isaiah 57:1 הַצַּדִּ֣יק The righteous haṣ·ṣad·dîq אָבָ֔ד perish , ’ā·ḇāḏ וְאֵ֥ין and no wə·’ên אִ֖ישׁ one ’îš שָׂ֣ם takes śām עַל־ it to ‘al- לֵ֑ב heart ; lêḇ חֶ֤סֶד devout ḥe·seḏ וְאַנְשֵׁי־ men wə·’an·šê- נֶֽאֱסָפִים֙ are swept away , ne·’ĕ·sā·p̄îm בְּאֵ֣ין while no one bə·’ên מֵבִ֔ין considers mê·ḇîn כִּֽי־ that kî- הַצַּדִּֽיק׃ the righteous haṣ·ṣad·dîq נֶאֱסַ֥ף are guided ne·’ĕ·sap̄ מִפְּנֵ֥י from the presence mip·pə·nê הָרָעָ֖ה of evil . hā·rā·‘āh Isaiah 57:2 הֹלֵ֖ךְ Those who walk hō·lêḵ נְכֹחֽוֹ׃ uprightly nə·ḵō·ḥōw יָב֣וֹא enter yā·ḇō·w שָׁל֔וֹם into peace ; šā·lō·wm יָנ֖וּחוּ they find rest , yā·nū·ḥū עַל־ vvv ‘al- מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָ֑ם lying down in death . miš·kə·ḇō·w·ṯām Isaiah 57:3 קִרְבוּ־ “ But come qir·ḇū- הֵ֖נָּה here , hên·nāh וְאַתֶּ֥ם you wə·’at·tem בְּנֵ֣י sons bə·nê עֹנְנָ֑ה of a sorceress , ‘ō·nə·nāh זֶ֥רַע you offspring ze·ra‘ מְנָאֵ֖ף of adulterers mə·nā·’êp̄ וַתִּזְנֶֽה׃ and prostitutes ! wat·tiz·neh Isaiah 57:4 עַל־ vvv ‘al- מִי֙ Whom mî תִּתְעַנָּ֔גוּ are you mocking ? tiṯ·‘an·nā·ḡū עַל־ At ‘al- מִ֛י whom mî תַּרְחִ֥יבוּ do you snarl tar·ḥî·ḇū פֶ֖ה . . . p̄eh תַּאֲרִ֣יכוּ and stick out ta·’ă·rî·ḵū לָשׁ֑וֹן your tongue ? lā·šō·wn אַתֶּ֥ם Are you ’at·tem הֲלֽוֹא־ not hă·lō·w- יִלְדֵי־ children yil·ḏê- פֶ֖שַׁע of transgression , p̄e·ša‘ זֶ֥רַע offspring ze·ra‘ שָֽׁקֶר׃ of deceit , šā·qer Isaiah 57:5 הַנֵּֽחָמִים֙ who burn with lust han·nê·ḥā·mîm בָּֽאֵלִ֔ים among the oaks , bā·’ê·lîm תַּ֖חַת under ta·ḥaṯ כָּל־ every kāl- רַעֲנָ֑ן luxuriant ra·‘ă·nān עֵ֣ץ tree , ‘êṣ שֹׁחֲטֵ֤י who slaughter šō·ḥă·ṭê הַיְלָדִים֙ your children hay·lā·ḏîm בַּנְּחָלִ֔ים in the valleys , ban·nə·ḥā·lîm תַּ֖חַת under ta·ḥaṯ סְעִפֵ֥י the clefts sə·‘i·p̄ê הַסְּלָעִֽים׃ of the rocks ? has·sə·lā·‘îm Isaiah 57:6 חֶלְקֵ֔ךְ Your portion ḥel·qêḵ בְּחַלְּקֵי־ [is] among the smooth [stones] bə·ḥal·lə·qê- נַ֣חַל of the valley ; na·ḥal הֵ֥ם indeed, they hêm הֵ֖ם . . . hêm גּוֹרָלֵ֑ךְ are your lot . gō·w·rā·lêḵ גַּם־ Even gam- לָהֶ֞ם to them lā·hem שָׁפַ֥כְתְּ you have poured out šā·p̄aḵt נֶ֙סֶךְ֙ a drink offering ne·seḵ הֶעֱלִ֣ית [and] offered he·‘ĕ·lîṯ מִנְחָ֔ה a grain offering . min·ḥāh אֶנָּחֵֽם׃ Should I relent ’en·nā·ḥêm הַ֥עַל because of ha·‘al אֵ֖לֶּה these ? ’êl·leh Isaiah 57:7 עַ֤ל On ‘al גָּבֹ֙הַּ֙ a high gā·ḇō·ah וְנִשָּׂ֔א and lofty wə·niś·śā הַר־ hill har- שַׂ֖מְתְּ you have made śamt מִשְׁכָּבֵ֑ךְ your bed , miš·kā·ḇêḵ גַּם־ and gam- שָׁ֥ם there šām
