Isaiah 56:7 וַהֲבִיאוֹתִ֞ים I will bring them wa·hă·ḇî·’ō·w·ṯîm אֶל־ to ’el- קָדְשִׁ֗י My holy qāḏ·šî הַ֣ר mountain har וְשִׂמַּחְתִּים֙ and make them joyful wə·śim·maḥ·tîm בְּבֵ֣ית in My house bə·ḇêṯ תְּפִלָּתִ֔י of prayer . tə·p̄il·lā·ṯî עוֹלֹתֵיהֶ֧ם Their burnt offerings ‘ō·w·lō·ṯê·hem וְזִבְחֵיהֶ֛ם and sacrifices wə·ziḇ·ḥê·hem לְרָצ֖וֹן will be accepted lə·rā·ṣō·wn עַֽל־ on ‘al- מִזְבְּחִ֑י My altar , miz·bə·ḥî כִּ֣י for kî בֵיתִ֔י My house ḇê·ṯî יִקָּרֵ֖א will be called yiq·qā·rê בֵּית־ a house bêṯ- תְּפִלָּ֥ה of prayer tə·p̄il·lāh לְכָל־ for all lə·ḵāl הָעַמִּֽים׃ the nations . ” hā·‘am·mîm Isaiah 56:8 נְאֻם֙ Thus declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh מְקַבֵּ֖ץ who gathers mə·qab·bêṣ נִדְחֵ֣י the dispersed niḏ·ḥê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel : yiś·rā·’êl אֲקַבֵּ֥ץ “ I will gather ’ă·qab·bêṣ עָלָ֖יו to them ‘ā·lāw ע֛וֹד still others ‘ō·wḏ לְנִקְבָּצָֽיו׃ besides those already gathered . ” lə·niq·bā·ṣāw Isaiah 56:9 אֵתָ֕יוּ Come , ’ê·ṯā·yū כֹּ֖ל all kōl חַיְת֣וֹ you beasts ḥay·ṯōw שָׂדָ֑י of the field ; śā·ḏāy לֶאֱכֹ֥ל eat greedily , le·’ĕ·ḵōl כָּל־ all kāl- חַיְת֖וֹ you beasts ḥay·ṯōw בַּיָּֽעַר׃ס of the forest . bay·yā·‘ar Isaiah 56:10 צָפוּ [Israel’s] watchmen ṣå̄·p̄ū עִוְרִ֤ים are blind , ‘iw·rîm כֻּלָּם֙ they are all kul·lām יָדָ֔עוּ oblivious yā·ḏā·‘ū לֹ֣א . . . ; lō כֻּלָּם֙ they are all kul·lām אִלְּמִ֔ים mute ’il·lə·mîm כְּלָבִ֣ים dogs , kə·lā·ḇîm לֹ֥א they cannot lō יוּכְל֖וּ . . . yū·ḵə·lū לִנְבֹּ֑חַ bark ; lin·bō·aḥ הֹזִים֙ they are dreamers hō·zîm שֹֽׁכְבִ֔ים lying around , šō·ḵə·ḇîm אֹהֲבֵ֖י loving ’ō·hă·ḇê לָנֽוּם׃ to slumber . lā·nūm Isaiah 56:11 וְהַכְּלָבִ֣ים Like ravenous dogs wə·hak·kə·lā·ḇîm עַזֵּי־ . . . ‘az·zê- נֶ֗פֶשׁ . . . , ne·p̄eš לֹ֤א they are never lō יָֽדְעוּ֙ satisfied yā·ḏə·‘ū שָׂבְעָ֔ה . . . . śā·ḇə·‘āh וְהֵ֣מָּה They wə·hêm·māh רֹעִ֔ים are shepherds rō·‘îm יָדְע֖וּ with yā·ḏə·‘ū לֹ֥א no lō הָבִ֑ין discernment ; hā·ḇîn כֻּלָּם֙ they all kul·lām פָּנ֔וּ turn pā·nū לְדַרְכָּ֣ם to their own way , lə·ḏar·kām מִקָּצֵֽהוּ׃ each miq·qā·ṣê·hū אִ֥ישׁ one ’îš לְבִצְע֖וֹ seeking his own gain : lə·ḇiṣ·‘ōw Isaiah 56:12 אֵתָ֥יוּ “ Come , ’ê·ṯā·yū אֶקְחָה־ let me get ’eq·ḥāh- יַ֖יִן the wine , ya·yin וְנִסְבְּאָ֣ה let us imbibe wə·nis·bə·’āh שֵׁכָ֑ר the strong drink , šê·ḵār מָחָ֔ר and tomorrow mā·ḥār וְהָיָ֤ה will be wə·hā·yāh כָזֶה֙ like today ḵā·zeh י֣וֹם . . . , yō·wm מְאֹֽד׃ only far mə·’ōḏ יֶ֥תֶר . . . ye·ṯer גָּד֖וֹל better ! ” gā·ḏō·wl
