שֹׁמֵ֖עַ [and] obeys šō·mê·a‘ בְּק֣וֹל the voice bə·qō·wl עַבְדּ֑וֹ of His Servant ? ‘aḇ·dōw אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ Who ’ă·šer הָלַ֣ךְ among you walks hā·laḵ חֲשֵׁכִ֗ים in darkness ḥă·šê·ḵîm וְאֵ֥ין and has no wə·’ên נֹ֙גַהּ֙ light nō·ḡah ל֔וֹ ? lōw יִבְטַח֙ Let him trust yiḇ·ṭaḥ בְּשֵׁ֣ם in the name bə·šêm יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH ; Yah·weh וְיִשָּׁעֵ֖ן let him lean wə·yiš·šā·‘ên בֵּאלֹהָֽיו׃ on his God . bê·lō·hāw Isaiah 50:11 הֵ֧ן Behold , hên כֻּלְּכֶ֛ם all kul·lə·ḵem קֹ֥דְחֵי you who kindle qō·ḏə·ḥê אֵ֖שׁ a fire , ’êš מְאַזְּרֵ֣י who array yourselves mə·’az·zə·rê זִיק֑וֹת with firebrands , zî·qō·wṯ לְכ֣וּ׀ walk lə·ḵū בְּא֣וּר in the light bə·’ūr אֶשְׁכֶ֗ם of your fire ’eš·ḵem וּבְזִיקוֹת֙ and of the firebrands ū·ḇə·zî·qō·wṯ בִּֽעַרְתֶּ֔ם you have lit ! bi·‘ar·tem זֹּ֣את This is what zōṯ לָכֶ֔ם you lā·ḵem הָיְתָה־ will receive hā·yə·ṯāh- מִיָּדִי֙ from My hand : mî·yā·ḏî תִּשְׁכָּבֽוּן׃פ You will lie down tiš·kā·ḇūn לְמַעֲצֵבָ֖ה in a place of torment . lə·ma·‘ă·ṣê·ḇāh Isaiah 51:1 שִׁמְע֥וּ “ Listen šim·‘ū אֵלַ֛י to Me , ’ê·lay רֹ֥דְפֵי you who pursue rō·ḏə·p̄ê צֶ֖דֶק righteousness , ṣe·ḏeq מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י you who seek mə·ḇaq·šê יְהוָ֑ה YHWH : Yah·weh הַבִּ֙יטוּ֙ Look hab·bî·ṭū אֶל־ to ’el- צ֣וּר the rock ṣūr חֻצַּבְתֶּ֔ם from which you were cut , ḥuṣ·ṣaḇ·tem וְאֶל־ and to wə·’el- מַקֶּ֥בֶת the quarry maq·qe·ḇeṯ בּ֖וֹר . . . bō·wr נֻקַּרְתֶּֽם׃ from which you were hewn . nuq·qar·tem Isaiah 51:2 הַבִּ֙יטוּ֙ Look hab·bî·ṭū אֶל־ to ’el- אַבְרָהָ֣ם Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām אֲבִיכֶ֔ם your father , ’ă·ḇî·ḵem וְאֶל־ and to wə·’el- שָׂרָ֖ה Sarah śā·rāh תְּחוֹלֶלְכֶ֑ם who gave you birth . tə·ḥō·w·lel·ḵem כִּי־ When kî- קְרָאתִ֔יו I called him , qə·rā·ṯîw אֶחָ֣ד he was but one ; ’e·ḥāḏ וַאֲבָרְכֵ֖הוּ then I blessed him wa·’ă·ḇā·rə·ḵê·hū וְאַרְבֵּֽהוּ׃ס and multiplied him . wə·’ar·bê·hū Isaiah 51:3 כִּֽי־ For kî- יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh נִחַ֨ם will comfort ni·ḥam צִיּ֗וֹן Zion ṣî·yō·wn נִחַם֙ and will look with compassion ni·ḥam כָּל־ on all her kāl- חָרְבֹתֶ֔יהָ ruins ; ḥā·rə·ḇō·ṯe·hā וַיָּ֤שֶׂם He will make way·yā·śem מִדְבָּרָהּ֙ her wilderness miḏ·bā·rāh כְּעֵ֔דֶן like Eden kə·‘ê·ḏen וְעַרְבָתָ֖הּ and her desert wə·‘ar·ḇā·ṯāh כְּגַן־ like the garden kə·ḡan- יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH . Yah·weh שָׂשׂ֤וֹן Joy śā·śō·wn וְשִׂמְחָה֙ and gladness wə·śim·ḥāh יִמָּ֣צֵא will be found yim·mā·ṣê בָ֔הּ in her , ḇāh תּוֹדָ֖ה thanksgiving tō·w·ḏāh זִמְרָֽה׃ס and melodious zim·rāh וְק֥וֹל song . wə·qō·wl Isaiah 51:4 הַקְשִׁ֤יבוּ Pay attention haq·šî·ḇū אֵלַי֙ to Me , ’ê·lay עַמִּ֔י My people , ‘am·mî הַאֲזִ֑ינוּ and listen ha·’ă·zî·nū אֵלַ֣י to Me , ’ê·lay וּלְאוּמִּ֖י My nation ; ū·lə·’ūm·mî כִּ֤י for kî תוֹרָה֙ a law ṯō·w·rāh
