לִמּוּדִ֔ים of discipleship , lim·mū·ḏîm לָדַ֛עַת vvv lā·ḏa·‘aṯ לָע֥וּת to sustain lā·‘ūṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָעֵ֖ף the weary yā·‘êp̄ דָּבָ֑ר with a word . dā·ḇār יָעִ֣יר׀ He awakens Me yā·‘îr בַּבֹּ֣קֶר morning bab·bō·qer בַּבֹּ֗קֶר by morning ; bab·bō·qer יָעִ֥יר He awakens yā·‘îr לִי֙ My lî אֹ֔זֶן ear ’ō·zen לִשְׁמֹ֖עַ to listen liš·mō·a‘ כַּלִּמּוּדִֽים׃ as a disciple . kal·lim·mū·ḏîm Isaiah 50:5 אֲדֹנָ֤י The Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֙ YHWH Yah·weh פָּתַֽח־ has opened pā·ṯaḥ- לִ֣י My lî אֹ֔זֶן ears , ’ō·zen וְאָנֹכִ֖י and I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî לֹ֣א have not been lō מָרִ֑יתִי rebellious , mā·rî·ṯî לֹ֥א nor have I lō נְסוּגֹֽתִי׃ turned nə·sū·ḡō·ṯî אָח֖וֹר back . ’ā·ḥō·wr Isaiah 50:6 נָתַ֣תִּי I offered nā·ṯat·tî גֵּוִי֙ My back gê·wî לְמַכִּ֔ים to those who struck Me , lə·mak·kîm וּלְחָיַ֖י and My cheeks ū·lə·ḥā·yay לְמֹֽרְטִ֑ים to those who tore out My beard . lə·mō·rə·ṭîm לֹ֣א I did not lō הִסְתַּ֔רְתִּי hide his·tar·tî פָּנַי֙ My face pā·nay מִכְּלִמּ֖וֹת from scorn mik·kə·lim·mō·wṯ וָרֹֽק׃ and spittle . wā·rōq Isaiah 50:7 וַאדֹנָ֤י Because the Lord wa·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֙ YHWH Yah·weh יַֽעֲזָר־ helps ya·‘ă·zār- לִ֔י Me , lî עַל־ - ‘al- כֵּ֖ן - kên לֹ֣א I have not lō נִכְלָ֑מְתִּי been disgraced ; niḵ·lā·mə·tî עַל־ therefore ‘al- כֵּ֞ן . . . kên שַׂ֤מְתִּי I have set śam·tî פָנַי֙ My face p̄ā·nay כַּֽחַלָּמִ֔ישׁ like flint , ka·ḥal·lā·mîš וָאֵדַ֖ע and I know wā·’ê·ḏa‘ כִּי־ that kî- לֹ֥א I will not lō אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃ be put to shame . ’ê·ḇō·wōš Isaiah 50:8 מַצְדִּיקִ֔י The One who vindicates Me maṣ·dî·qî קָרוֹב֙ is near . qā·rō·wḇ מִֽי־ Who mî- יָרִ֥יב will dare to contend yā·rîḇ אִתִּ֖י with Me ? ’it·tî נַ֣עַמְדָה Let us confront na·‘am·ḏāh יָּ֑חַד each other ! yā·ḥaḏ מִֽי־ Who mî- בַ֥עַל . . . ḇa·‘al מִשְׁפָּטִ֖י has a case against Me ? miš·pā·ṭî יִגַּ֥שׁ Let him approach yig·gaš אֵלָֽי׃ Me ! ’ê·lāy Isaiah 50:9 הֵ֣ן Surely hên אֲדֹנָ֤י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִה֙ YHWH Yah·weh יַֽעֲזָר־ helps ya·‘ă·zār- לִ֔י Me . lî מִי־ Who mî- ה֖וּא is there hū יַרְשִׁיעֵ֑נִי to condemn Me ? yar·šî·‘ê·nî הֵ֤ן See , hên כֻּלָּם֙ they will all kul·lām יִבְל֔וּ wear out yiḇ·lū כַּבֶּ֣גֶד like a garment ; kab·be·ḡeḏ עָ֖שׁ the moths ‘āš יֹאכְלֵֽם׃ will devour them . yō·ḵə·lêm Isaiah 50:10 מִ֤י Who mî בָכֶם֙ among you ḇā·ḵem יְרֵ֣א fears yə·rê יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh
