וְגַלְמוּדָ֑הand barren ;wə·ḡal·mū·ḏāh
גֹּלָ֣ה׀I was exiledgō·lāh
וְסוּרָ֗הand rejected .wə·sū·rāh
מִ֣יSo who
וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙vvvwə·’êl·leh
גִדֵּ֔לhas reared them ?ḡid·dêl
הֵ֤ן Look , hên
אֲנִי֙I’ă·nî
נִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּיwas leftniš·’ar·tî
לְבַדִּ֔י all alone , lə·ḇad·dî
אֵ֖לֶּהso’êl·leh
אֵיפֹ֥הwhere’ê·p̄ōh
הֵֽם׃פdid they come from ?’”hêm

יָדִ֔יMy handyā·ḏî
אֶל־to’el-
גּוֹיִם֙ the nations , gō·w·yim
אָרִ֣יםand raise’ā·rîm
נִסִּ֑יMy bannernis·sî
וְאֶל־towə·’el-
עַמִּ֖יםthe peoples .‘am·mîm
וְהֵבִ֤יאוּThey will bringwə·hê·ḇî·’ū
בָנַ֙יִךְ֙your sonsḇā·na·yiḵ
בְּחֹ֔צֶןin their armsbə·ḥō·ṣen
תִּנָּשֶֽׂאנָה׃and carrytin·nā·śe·nāh
וּבְנֹתַ֖יִךְyour daughtersū·ḇə·nō·ṯa·yiḵ
עַל־on‘al-
כָּתֵ֥ףtheir shoulders .kā·ṯêp̄
Isaiah 49:23מְלָכִ֜יםKingsmə·lā·ḵîm
וְהָי֨וּwill bewə·hā·yū
אֹֽמְנַ֗יִךְ your foster fathers , ’ō·mə·na·yiḵ
וְשָׂרֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙and their queenswə·śā·rō·w·ṯê·hem
מֵינִ֣יקֹתַ֔יִךְyour nursing mothers .mê·nî·qō·ṯa·yiḵ
יִשְׁתַּ֣חֲווּThey will bowyiš·ta·ḥă·wū
לָ֔ךְto youlāḵ
אַפַּ֗יִםfacedown’ap·pa·yim
אֶ֚רֶץ. . .’e·reṣ
יְלַחֵ֑כוּand lickyə·la·ḥê·ḵū
וַעֲפַ֥רthe dustwa·‘ă·p̄ar
רַגְלַ֖יִךְat your feet .raḡ·la·yiḵ
וְיָדַ֙עַתְּ֙Then you will knowwə·yā·ḏa·‘at
כִּֽי־thatkî-
אֲנִ֣יI’ă·nî
יְהוָ֔הam YHWH ;Yah·weh
אֲשֶׁ֥רthose who’ă·šer
קוָֹֽי׃סhope in Meqō·wāy
לֹֽא־will neverlō-
יֵבֹ֖שׁוּbe put to shame . ”yê·ḇō·šū

הֲיֻקַּ֥חbe snatchedhă·yuq·qaḥ
מִגִּבּ֖וֹר from the mighty , mig·gib·bō·wr
וְאִם־orwə·’im-
שְׁבִ֥יthe captivesšə·ḇî
צַדִּ֖יקof a tyrantṣad·dîq
יִמָּלֵֽט׃be delivered ?yim·mā·lêṭ

גַּם־“ Evengam-
שְׁבִ֤יthe captivesšə·ḇî
גִבּוֹר֙of the mightyḡib·bō·wr
יֻקָּ֔ח will be taken away , yuq·qāḥ
וּמַלְק֥וֹחַand the plunderū·mal·qō·w·aḥ
עָרִ֖יץof the tyrant‘ā·rîṣ
יִמָּלֵ֑טwill be retrieved ;yim·mā·lêṭ
אָנֹכִ֣יI’ā·nō·ḵî
אָרִ֔יבwill contend’ā·rîḇ
וְאֶת־-wə·’eṯ-
