לִמְתָ֤עֵֽב [and] abhorred lim·ṯā·‘êḇ גּוֹי֙ by the nation , gō·w לְעֶ֣בֶד to the Servant lə·‘e·ḇeḏ מֹשְׁלִ֔ים of rulers : mō·šə·lîm מְלָכִים֙ “ Kings mə·lā·ḵîm יִרְא֣וּ will see You yir·’ū וָקָ֔מוּ and rise , wā·qā·mū שָׂרִ֖ים and princes śā·rîm וְיִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֑וּ will bow down , wə·yiš·ta·ḥăw·wū לְמַ֤עַן because of lə·ma·‘an יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer נֶאֱמָ֔ן is faithful , ne·’ĕ·mān קְדֹ֥שׁ the Holy qə·ḏōš יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל One of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וַיִּבְחָרֶֽךָּ׃ who has chosen You . ” way·yiḇ·ḥā·re·kā Isaiah 49:8 כֹּ֣ה׀ This is what kōh יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar בְּעֵ֤ת “ In the time bə·‘êṯ רָצוֹן֙ of favor rā·ṣō·wn עֲנִיתִ֔יךָ I will answer You , ‘ă·nî·ṯî·ḵā וּבְי֥וֹם and in the day ū·ḇə·yō·wm יְשׁוּעָ֖ה of salvation yə·šū·‘āh עֲזַרְתִּ֑יךָ I will help You ; ‘ă·zar·tî·ḵā וְאֶצָּרְךָ֗ I will keep You wə·’eṣ·ṣā·rə·ḵā וְאֶתֶּנְךָ֙ and appoint You wə·’et·ten·ḵā לִבְרִ֣ית to be a covenant liḇ·rîṯ עָ֔ם for the people , ‘ām לְהָקִ֣ים to restore lə·hā·qîm אֶ֔רֶץ the land , ’e·reṣ לְהַנְחִ֖יל to apportion lə·han·ḥîl שֹׁמֵמֽוֹת׃ its desolate šō·mê·mō·wṯ נְחָל֥וֹת inheritances , nə·ḥā·lō·wṯ Isaiah 49:9 לֵאמֹ֤ר to say lê·mōr לַֽאֲסוּרִים֙ to the prisoners , la·’ă·sū·rîm צֵ֔אוּ ‘ Come out , ’ ṣê·’ū לַאֲשֶׁ֥ר and to those la·’ă·šer בַּחֹ֖שֶׁךְ in darkness , ba·ḥō·šeḵ הִגָּל֑וּ ‘ Show yourselves . ’ hig·gā·lū יִרְע֔וּ They will feed yir·‘ū עַל־ along ‘al- דְּרָכִ֣ים the pathways , də·rā·ḵîm מַרְעִיתָֽם׃ and find pasture mar·‘î·ṯām וּבְכָל־ on every ū·ḇə·ḵāl שְׁפָיִ֖ים barren hill . šə·p̄ā·yîm Isaiah 49:10 לֹ֤א They will not lō וְלֹ֣א - wə·lō יִרְעָ֙בוּ֙ hunger yir·‘ā·ḇū יִצְמָ֔אוּ or thirst , yiṣ·mā·’ū וְלֹא־ nor will wə·lō- שָׁרָ֖ב scorching heat šā·rāḇ וָשָׁ֑מֶשׁ or sun wā·šā·meš יַכֵּ֥ם beat down on them . yak·kêm כִּי־ For kî- מְרַחֲמָ֣ם He who has compassion on them mə·ra·ḥă·mām יְנַהֲגֵ֔ם will guide them yə·na·hă·ḡêm יְנַהֲלֵֽם׃ and lead them yə·na·hă·lêm וְעַל־ beside wə·‘al- מַבּ֥וּעֵי springs mab·bū·‘ê מַ֖יִם of water . ma·yim Isaiah 49:11 וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י I will turn wə·śam·tî כָל־ all ḵāl הָרַ֖י My mountains hā·ray לַדָּ֑רֶךְ into roads , lad·dā·reḵ וּמְסִלֹּתַ֖י and My highways ū·mə·sil·lō·ṯay יְרֻמֽוּן׃ will be raised up . yə·ru·mūn Isaiah 49:12 הִנֵּה־ Behold , hin·nêh- אֵ֕לֶּה they ’êl·leh יָבֹ֑אוּ will come yā·ḇō·’ū מֵרָח֖וֹק from far away , mê·rā·ḥō·wq וְהִֽנֵּה־ . . . wə·hin·nêh- אֵ֙לֶּה֙ . . . ’êl·leh מִצָּפ֣וֹן from the north miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn וּמִיָּ֔ם and from the west , ū·mî·yām וְאֵ֖לֶּה and from wə·’êl·leh מֵאֶ֥רֶץ the land mê·’e·reṣ סִינִֽים׃ of Aswan . ” sî·nîm Isaiah 49:13 רָנּ֤וּ Shout for joy , rān·nū שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ O heavens ; šā·ma·yim וְגִ֣ילִי rejoice , wə·ḡî·lî אָ֔רֶץ O earth ; ’ā·reṣ
