Isaiah 44:1 וְעַתָּ֥ה But now wə·‘at·tāh שְׁמַ֖ע listen , šə·ma‘ יַעֲקֹ֣ב O Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ עַבְדִּ֑י My servant , ‘aḇ·dî וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel , wə·yiś·rā·’êl בָּחַ֥רְתִּי whom I have chosen bā·ḥar·tî בֽוֹ׃ . ḇōw Isaiah 44:2 כֹּה־ This kōh- אָמַ֨ר is the word ’ā·mar יְהוָ֥ה of YHWH , Yah·weh עֹשֶׂ֛ךָ your Maker , ‘ō·śe·ḵā וְיֹצֶרְךָ֥ who formed you wə·yō·ṣer·ḵā מִבֶּ֖טֶן from the womb mib·be·ṭen יַעְזְרֶ֑ךָּ [and] who will help you : ya‘·zə·re·kā אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָא֙ be afraid , tî·rā יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב O Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ עַבְדִּ֣י My servant , ‘aḇ·dî וִישֻׁר֖וּן Jeshurun , wî·šu·rūn בָּחַ֥רְתִּי whom I have chosen bā·ḥar·tî בֽוֹ׃ . ḇōw Isaiah 44:3 כִּ֤י For kî אֶצָּק־ I will pour ’eṣ·ṣāq- מַ֙יִם֙ water ma·yim עַל־ on ‘al- צָמֵ֔א the thirsty land , ṣā·mê וְנֹזְלִ֖ים and currents wə·nō·zə·lîm עַל־ on ‘al- יַבָּשָׁ֑ה the dry ground . yab·bā·šāh אֶצֹּ֤ק I will pour out ’eṣ·ṣōq רוּחִי֙ My Spirit rū·ḥî עַל־ on ‘al- זַרְעֶ֔ךָ your descendants , zar·‘e·ḵā וּבִרְכָתִ֖י and My blessing ū·ḇir·ḵā·ṯî עַל־ on ‘al- צֶאֱצָאֶֽיךָ׃ your offspring . ṣe·’ĕ·ṣā·’e·ḵā Isaiah 44:4 וְצָמְח֖וּ They will sprout wə·ṣā·mə·ḥū בְּבֵ֣ין among bə·ḇên חָצִ֑יר the grass ḥā·ṣîr כַּעֲרָבִ֖ים like willows ka·‘ă·rā·ḇîm עַל־ by ‘al- יִבְלֵי־ flowing yiḇ·lê- מָֽיִם׃ streams . mā·yim Isaiah 44:5 זֶ֤ה One zeh יֹאמַר֙ will say , yō·mar אָ֔נִי ‘ I [belong] ’ā·nî לַֽיהוָ֣ה to YHWH ,’ Yah·weh וְזֶ֖ה another wə·zeh יִקְרָ֣א will call himself yiq·rā בְשֵֽׁם־ by the name ḇə·šêm- יַעֲקֹ֑ב of Jacob , ya·‘ă·qōḇ וְזֶ֗ה and still another wə·zeh יִכְתֹּ֤ב will write yiḵ·tōḇ יָדוֹ֙ on his hand , yā·ḏōw לַֽיהוָ֔ה ‘ YHWH’s , ’ Yah·weh יְכַנֶּֽה׃פ and will take yə·ḵan·neh וּבְשֵׁ֥ם the name ū·ḇə·šêm יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel . ” yiś·rā·’êl Isaiah 44:6 כֹּֽה־ Thus kōh- אָמַ֨ר says ’ā·mar יְהוָ֧ה YHWH , Yah·weh מֶֽלֶךְ־ the King me·leḵ- וְגֹאֲל֖וֹ and Redeemer wə·ḡō·’ă·lōw יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֑וֹת of Hosts : ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֲנִ֤י “ I ’ă·nî רִאשׁוֹן֙ am the first ri·šō·wn וַאֲנִ֣י and I am wa·’ă·nî אַחֲר֔וֹן the last , ’a·ḥă·rō·wn אֵ֥ין and there is no ’ên אֱלֹהִֽים׃ God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וּמִבַּלְעָדַ֖י but Me . ū·mib·bal·‘ā·ḏay Isaiah 44:7 וּמִֽי־ Who then [is] ū·mî- כָמ֣וֹנִי like Me ? ḵā·mō·w·nî יִקְרָ֗א Let him say so ! yiq·rā וְיַגִּידֶ֤הָ Let him declare wə·yag·gî·ḏe·hā וְיַעְרְכֶ֙הָ֙ [his] case wə·ya‘·rə·ḵe·hā לִ֔י before Me , lî מִשּׂוּמִ֖י since I established miś·śū·mî עוֹלָ֑ם an ancient ‘ō·w·lām עַם־ people . ‘am-
