אֵין־ no ’ên- שֹׁמֵ֖עַ one heard šō·mê·a‘ אִמְרֵיכֶֽם׃ your words . ’im·rê·ḵem Isaiah 41:27 רִאשׁ֥וֹן I was the first to tell ri·šō·wn לְצִיּ֖וֹן Zion : lə·ṣî·yō·wn הִנֵּ֣ה ‘ Look , hin·nêh הִנָּ֑ם here they are !’ hin·nām אֶתֵּֽן׃ And I gave ’et·tên וְלִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם to Jerusalem wə·lî·rū·šā·lim מְבַשֵּׂ֥ר a herald of good news . mə·ḇaś·śêr Isaiah 41:28 וְאֵ֙רֶא֙ When I look , wə·’ê·re וְאֵ֣ין there is no wə·’ên אִ֔ישׁ one ; ’îš וְאֵ֣ין there is no wə·’ên יוֹעֵ֑ץ counselor yō·w·‘êṣ וּמֵאֵ֖לֶּה among them ; ū·mê·’êl·leh וְאֶשְׁאָלֵ֖ם when I ask them , wə·’eš·’ā·lêm וְיָשִׁ֥יבוּ they have nothing to say wə·yā·šî·ḇū דָבָֽר׃ . . . . ḏā·ḇār Isaiah 41:29 הֵ֣ן See , hên כֻּלָּ֔ם [they are] all kul·lām אָ֥וֶן a delusion ; ’ā·wen מַעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם their works ma·‘ă·śê·hem אֶ֖פֶס amount to nothing ; ’e·p̄es נִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃פ their images nis·kê·hem וָתֹ֖הוּ are as empty wā·ṯō·hū ר֥וּחַ as the wind . [’’] rū·aḥ Isaiah 42:1 הֵ֤ן [“] Here is hên עַבְדִּי֙ My Servant , ‘aḇ·dî אֶתְמָךְ־ whom I uphold ’eṯ·māḵ- בּ֔וֹ , bōw בְּחִירִ֖י My Chosen One , bə·ḥî·rî נַפְשִׁ֑י [in whom] My soul nap̄·šî רָצְתָ֣ה delights . rā·ṣə·ṯāh נָתַ֤תִּי I will put nā·ṯat·tî רוּחִי֙ My Spirit rū·ḥî עָלָ֔יו on Him , ‘ā·lāw יוֹצִֽיא׃ [and] He will bring yō·w·ṣî מִשְׁפָּ֖ט justice miš·pāṭ לַגּוֹיִ֥ם to the nations . lag·gō·w·yim Isaiah 42:2 לֹ֥א He will not lō יִצְעַ֖ק cry out yiṣ·‘aq וְלֹ֣א [or] wə·lō יִשָּׂ֑א raise [His voice] , yiś·śā וְלֹֽא־ nor wə·lō- קוֹלֽוֹ׃ make His voice qō·w·lōw יַשְׁמִ֥יעַ heard yaš·mî·a‘ בַּח֖וּץ in the streets . ba·ḥūṣ Isaiah 42:3 רָצוּץ֙ A bruised rā·ṣūṣ קָנֶ֤ה reed qā·neh לֹ֣א He will not lō יִשְׁבּ֔וֹר break yiš·bō·wr כֵהָ֖ה and a smoldering ḵê·hāh וּפִשְׁתָּ֥ה wick ū·p̄iš·tāh לֹ֣א He will not lō יְכַבֶּ֑נָּה extinguish ; yə·ḵab·ben·nāh לֶאֱמֶ֖ת He will faithfully le·’ĕ·meṯ יוֹצִ֥יא bring forth yō·w·ṣî מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ justice . miš·pāṭ Isaiah 42:4 לֹ֤א He will not lō יִכְהֶה֙ grow weak yiḵ·heh וְלֹ֣א . . . wə·lō יָר֔וּץ or discouraged yā·rūṣ עַד־ before ‘aḏ- יָשִׂ֥ים He has established yā·śîm מִשְׁפָּ֑ט justice miš·pāṭ בָּאָ֖רֶץ on the earth . bā·’ā·reṣ וּלְתוֹרָת֖וֹ In His law ū·lə·ṯō·w·rā·ṯōw אִיִּ֥ים the islands ’î·yîm יְיַחֵֽילוּ׃פ will put their hope . ” yə·ya·ḥê·lū Isaiah 42:5 כֹּֽה־ This is what kōh- הָאֵ֣ל׀ God hā·’êl יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֞ר says — ’ā·mar בּוֹרֵ֤א He who created bō·w·rê הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ the heavens haš·šā·ma·yim
