Isaiah 31:6 שׁ֗וּבוּ Return šū·ḇū לַאֲשֶׁ֛ר to the One la·’ă·šer הֶעְמִ֥יקוּ against whom you have so blatantly he‘·mî·qū סָרָ֖ה rebelled , sā·rāh בְּנֵ֥י O children bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Isaiah 31:7 כִּ֚י For kî הַה֔וּא on that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day , bay·yō·wm אִ֚ישׁ every one ’îš יִמְאָס֗וּן of you will reject yim·’ā·sūn אֱלִילֵ֣י the idols ’ĕ·lî·lê כַסְפּ֔וֹ of silver ḵas·pōw וֶאֱלִילֵ֖י . . . we·’ĕ·lî·lê זְהָב֑וֹ and gold zə·hā·ḇōw אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer לָכֶ֛ם your own lā·ḵem יְדֵיכֶ֖ם hands yə·ḏê·ḵem חֵֽטְא׃ have sinfully ḥêṭ עָשׂ֥וּ made . ‘ā·śū Isaiah 31:8 אַשּׁוּר֙ “ Then Assyria ’aš·šūr וְנָפַ֤ל will fall , wə·nā·p̄al לֹא־ but not lō- בְּחֶ֣רֶב by the sword bə·ḥe·reḇ אִ֔ישׁ of man ; ’îš וְחֶ֥רֶב a sword wə·ḥe·reḇ תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֑נּוּ will devour them , tō·ḵă·len·nū לֹֽא־ but not lō- אָדָ֖ם one made by mortals . ’ā·ḏām וְנָ֥ס They will flee wə·nās לוֹ֙ lōw מִפְּנֵי־ before mip·pə·nê- חֶ֔רֶב the sword , ḥe·reḇ וּבַחוּרָ֖יו and their young men ū·ḇa·ḥū·rāw יִהְיֽוּ׃ will be put yih·yū לָמַ֥ס to forced labor . lā·mas Isaiah 31:9 וְסַלְעוֹ֙ Their rock wə·sal·‘ōw יַֽעֲב֔וֹר will pass away ya·‘ă·ḇō·wr מִמָּג֣וֹר for fear , mim·mā·ḡō·wr שָׂרָ֑יו and their princes śā·rāw וְחַתּ֥וּ will panic wə·ḥat·tū מִנֵּ֖ס at [the sight of] the battle standard , ” min·nês נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֲשֶׁר־ whose ’ă·šer- א֥וּר fire ’ūr לוֹ֙ lōw בְּצִיּ֔וֹן is in Zion , bə·ṣî·yō·wn וְתַנּ֥וּר whose furnace wə·ṯan·nūr ל֖וֹ lōw בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ס is in Jerusalem . bî·rū·šā·lim Isaiah 32:1 הֵ֥ן Behold , hên מֶ֑לֶךְ a king me·leḵ יִמְלָךְ־ will reign yim·lāḵ- לְצֶ֖דֶק in righteousness , lə·ṣe·ḏeq וּלְשָׂרִ֖ים and princes ū·lə·śā·rîm יָשֹֽׂרוּ׃ will rule yā·śō·rū לְמִשְׁפָּ֥ט with justice . lə·miš·pāṭ Isaiah 32:2 אִ֥ישׁ Each ’îš וְהָיָה־ will be wə·hā·yāh- כְּמַֽחֲבֵא־ like a shelter kə·ma·ḥă·ḇê- ר֖וּחַ from the wind , rū·aḥ וְסֵ֣תֶר a refuge wə·sê·ṯer זָ֑רֶם from the storm , zā·rem כְּפַלְגֵי־ like streams kə·p̄al·ḡê- מַ֣יִם of water ma·yim בְּצָי֔וֹן in a dry land , bə·ṣā·yō·wn כְּצֵ֥ל like the shadow kə·ṣêl כָּבֵ֖ד of a great kā·ḇêḏ סֶֽלַע־ rock se·la‘- עֲיֵפָֽה׃ in an arid ‘ă·yê·p̄āh בְּאֶ֥רֶץ land . bə·’e·reṣ Isaiah 32:3 עֵינֵ֣י Then the eyes ‘ê·nê רֹאִ֑ים of those who see rō·’îm וְלֹ֥א will no longer wə·lō תִשְׁעֶ֖ינָה be closed , ṯiš·‘e·nāh וְאָזְנֵ֥י and the ears wə·’ā·zə·nê שֹׁמְעִ֖ים of those who hear šō·mə·‘îm תִּקְשַֽׁבְנָה׃ will listen . tiq·šaḇ·nāh
