Isaiah 32:4 וּלְבַ֥ב The mind ū·lə·ḇaḇ נִמְהָרִ֖ים of the rash nim·hā·rîm יָבִ֣ין will know yā·ḇîn לָדָ֑עַת and understand , lā·ḏā·‘aṯ עִלְּגִ֔ים and the stammering ‘il·lə·ḡîm וּלְשׁ֣וֹן tongue ū·lə·šō·wn לְדַבֵּ֥ר will speak lə·ḏab·bêr צָחֽוֹת׃ clearly ṣā·ḥō·wṯ תְּמַהֵ֖ר and fluently . tə·ma·hêr Isaiah 32:5 לֹֽא־ No lō- ע֛וֹד longer {will} ‘ō·wḏ לְנָבָ֖ל a fool lə·nā·ḇāl יִקָּרֵ֥א be called yiq·qā·rê נָדִ֑יב noble , nā·ḏîḇ לֹ֥א nor lō וּלְכִילַ֕י a scoundrel ū·lə·ḵî·lay יֵֽאָמֵ֖ר vvv yê·’ā·mêr שֽׁוֹעַ׃ be respected . šō·w·a‘ Isaiah 32:6 כִּ֤י For kî נָבָל֙ a fool nā·ḇāl יְדַבֵּ֔ר speaks yə·ḏab·bêr נְבָלָ֣ה foolishness ; nə·ḇā·lāh וְלִבּ֖וֹ his mind wə·lib·bōw יַעֲשֶׂה־ plots ya·‘ă·śeh- אָ֑וֶן iniquity . ’ā·wen לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת He practices la·‘ă·śō·wṯ חֹ֗נֶף ungodliness ḥō·nep̄ וּלְדַבֵּ֤ר and speaks ū·lə·ḏab·bêr תּוֹעָ֔ה falsely tō·w·‘āh אֶל־ about ’el- יְהוָה֙ YHWH ; Yah·weh נֶ֣פֶשׁ he leaves the hungry ne·p̄eš רָעֵ֔ב . . . rā·‘êḇ לְהָרִיק֙ empty lə·hā·rîq צָמֵ֖א and deprives the thirsty ṣā·mê יַחְסִֽיר׃ of yaḥ·sîr וּמַשְׁקֶ֥ה drink . ū·maš·qeh Isaiah 32:7 כֵּלָ֣יו The weapons kê·lāw וְכֵלַ֖י of the scoundrel wə·ḵê·lay רָעִ֑ים are destructive ; rā·‘îm ה֚וּא he hū יָעָ֔ץ hatches yā·‘āṣ זִמּ֣וֹת plots zim·mō·wṯ לְחַבֵּ֤ל to destroy lə·ḥab·bêl עֲנָוִים the poor ʿă·nå̄·wīm בְּאִמְרֵי־ with lies bə·’im·rê- שֶׁ֔קֶר . . . , še·qer וּבְדַבֵּ֥ר even when the plea ū·ḇə·ḏab·bêr אֶבְי֖וֹן of the needy ’eḇ·yō·wn מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ is just . miš·pāṭ Isaiah 32:8 וְנָדִ֖יב But a noble man wə·nā·ḏîḇ יָעָ֑ץ makes yā·‘āṣ נְדִיב֣וֹת honorable plans ; nə·ḏî·ḇō·wṯ וְה֖וּא he wə·hū יָקֽוּם׃פ stands up yā·qūm עַל־ for ‘al- נְדִיב֥וֹת worthy causes . nə·ḏî·ḇō·wṯ Isaiah 32:9 קֹ֖מְנָה Stand up , qō·mə·nāh שַֽׁאֲנַנּ֔וֹת you complacent ša·’ă·nan·nō·wṯ נָשִׁים֙ women ; nā·šîm שְׁמַ֣עְנָה listen to me šə·ma‘·nāh קוֹלִ֑י . . . . qō·w·lî הַאְזֵ֖נָּה Give ear ha’·zên·nāh אִמְרָתִֽי׃ to my word , ’im·rā·ṯî בֹּֽטח֔וֹת you overconfident bō·ṭ·ḥō·wṯ בָּנוֹת֙ daughters . bā·nō·wṯ Isaiah 32:10 יָמִים֙ In a little more than yā·mîm עַל־ . . . ‘al- שָׁנָ֔ה a year šā·nāh תִּרְגַּ֖זְנָה you will tremble , tir·gaz·nāh בֹּֽטְח֑וֹת O secure ones . bō·ṭə·ḥō·wṯ כִּ֚י For kî בָצִ֔יר the grape harvest ḇā·ṣîr כָּלָ֣ה will fail kā·lāh אֹ֖סֶף and the fruit harvest ’ō·sep̄ בְּלִ֥י will not bə·lî יָבֽוֹא׃ arrive . yā·ḇō·w
