וְהִנֵּ֣ה . . . wə·hin·nêh יַחֲלֹ֨ם dreams ya·ḥă·lōm אוֹכֵ֗ל he is eating , ’ō·w·ḵêl וְהֵקִיץ֮ then awakens wə·hê·qîṣ וְרֵיקָ֣ה still hungry wə·rê·qāh נַפְשׁוֹ֒ . . . ; nap̄·šōw וְכַאֲשֶׁ֨ר as when wə·ḵa·’ă·šer הַצָּמֵא֙ a thirsty man haṣ·ṣā·mê וְהִנֵּ֣ה . . . wə·hin·nêh יַחֲלֹ֤ם dreams ya·ḥă·lōm שֹׁתֶ֔ה he is drinking , šō·ṯeh וְהֵקִיץ֙ then awakens wə·hê·qîṣ וְהִנֵּ֣ה . . . wə·hin·nêh עָיֵ֔ף faint ‘ā·yêp̄ וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹ . . . wə·nap̄·šōw שׁוֹקֵקָ֑ה and parched . šō·w·qê·qāh כֵּ֣ן So kên יִֽהְיֶ֗ה will it be yih·yeh כָּל־ for all kāl- הֲמוֹן֙ the many hă·mō·wn הַגּוֹיִ֔ם nations hag·gō·w·yim הַצֹּבְאִ֖ים who go to battle haṣ·ṣō·ḇə·’îm עַל־ against ‘al- הַ֥ר Mount har צִיּֽוֹן׃ס Zion . ṣî·yō·wn Isaiah 29:9 הִתְמַהְמְה֣וּ Stop hiṯ·mah·mə·hū וּתְמָ֔הוּ and be astonished ; ū·ṯə·mā·hū הִשְׁתַּֽעַשְׁע֖וּ blind yourselves hiš·ta·‘aš·‘ū וָשֹׁ֑עוּ and be sightless ; wā·šō·‘ū שָֽׁכְר֣וּ be drunk , šā·ḵə·rū וְלֹא־ but not wə·lō- יַ֔יִן with wine ; ya·yin נָע֖וּ stagger , nā·‘ū וְלֹ֥א but not wə·lō שֵׁכָֽר׃ from strong drink . šê·ḵār Isaiah 29:10 כִּֽי־ For kî- יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh נָסַ֨ךְ has poured out nā·saḵ עֲלֵיכֶ֤ם on you ‘ă·lê·ḵem ר֣וּחַ a spirit rū·aḥ תַּרְדֵּמָ֔ה of deep sleep . tar·dê·māh וַיְעַצֵּ֖ם He has shut way·‘aṣ·ṣêm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֵֽינֵיכֶ֑ם your eyes , ‘ê·nê·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַנְּבִיאִ֛ים O prophets ; han·nə·ḇî·’îm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- כִּסָּֽה׃ He has covered kis·sāh רָאשֵׁיכֶ֥ם your heads , rā·šê·ḵem הַחֹזִ֖ים O seers . ha·ḥō·zîm Isaiah 29:11 הַכֹּ֗ל And the entire hak·kōl חָז֣וּת vision ḥā·zūṯ וַתְּהִ֨י will be wat·tə·hî לָכֶ֜ם to you lā·ḵem כְּדִבְרֵי֮ like the words kə·ḏiḇ·rê הֶֽחָתוּם֒ sealed he·ḥā·ṯūm הַסֵּ֣פֶר in a scroll . has·sê·p̄er אֲשֶֽׁר־ If it ’ă·šer- יִתְּנ֣וּ is handed yit·tə·nū אֹת֗וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw אֶל־ to ’el- יוֹדֵ֥עַ someone to read yō·w·ḏê·a‘ הַסֵּפֶר . . . has·sē·p̄ɛr לֵאמֹ֖ר . . . lê·mōr קְרָ֣א . . . qə·rā נָא־ . . . nā- זֶ֑ה . . . , zeh וְאָמַר֙ he will say , wə·’ā·mar לֹ֣א “ I cannot , lō אוּכַ֔ל . . . ’ū·ḵal כִּ֥י because kî הֽוּא׃ it hū חָת֖וּם is sealed . ” ḥā·ṯūm Isaiah 29:12 הַסֵּ֗פֶר Or if the scroll has·sê·p̄er וְנִתַּ֣ן is handed wə·nit·tan עַל֩ to ‘al אֲשֶׁ֨ר one ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ unable lō- יָדַ֥ע to read yā·ḏa‘ סֵ֛פֶר . . . sê·p̄er לֵאמֹ֖ר . . . lê·mōr קְרָ֣א . . . qə·rā נָא־ . . . nā- זֶ֑ה . . . , zeh וְאָמַ֕ר he will say , wə·’ā·mar לֹ֥א “ I cannot read lō יָדַ֖עְתִּי . . . yā·ḏa‘·tî סֵֽפֶר׃ס . . . . ” sê·p̄er
