Isaiah 27:7 מַכֵּ֖הוּ Has YHWH struck Israel mak·kê·hū הַכְּמַכַּ֥ת as He struck hak·kə·mak·kaṯ הִכָּ֑הוּ her oppressors hik·kā·hū אִם־ . . . ? ’im- הֲרֻגָ֖יו Was she killed hă·ru·ḡāw כְּהֶ֥רֶג like those who slayed her kə·he·reḡ הֹרָֽג׃ . . . ? hō·rāḡ Isaiah 27:8 בְּסַּאסְּאָ֖ה By warfare bə·sas·sə·’āh בְּשַׁלְחָ֣הּ and exile bə·šal·ḥāh תְּרִיבֶ֑נָּה You contended with her tə·rî·ḇen·nāh הָגָ֛ה and removed her hā·ḡāh הַקָּשָׁ֖ה with a fierce haq·qā·šāh בְּרוּח֥וֹ wind , bə·rū·ḥōw בְּי֥וֹם as on the day bə·yō·wm קָדִֽים׃ the east wind [blows] . qā·ḏîm Isaiah 27:9 לָכֵ֗ן Therefore lā·ḵên בְּזֹאת֙ . . . bə·zōṯ יַעֲקֹ֔ב Jacob’s ya·‘ă·qōḇ עֲוֺֽן־ guilt ‘ă·wōn- יְכֻפַּ֣ר will be atoned for , yə·ḵup·par כָּל־ and the full kāl- פְּרִ֖י fruit pə·rî הָסִ֣ר of the removal hā·sir חַטָּאת֑וֹ of his sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw וְזֶ֕ה will be this : wə·zeh בְּשׂוּמ֣וֹ׀ When he makes bə·śū·mōw כָּל־ all kāl- מִזְבֵּ֗חַ the altar miz·bê·aḥ כְּאַבְנֵי־ . . . kə·’aḇ·nê- אַבְנֵ֣י stones ’aḇ·nê מְנֻפָּצ֔וֹת like crushed mə·nup·pā·ṣō·wṯ גִר֙ bits of chalk , ḡir לֹֽא־ no lō- אֲשֵׁרִ֖ים Asherah poles ’ă·šê·rîm וְחַמָּנִֽים׃ or incense altars wə·ḥam·mā·nîm יָקֻ֥מוּ will remain standing . yā·qu·mū Isaiah 27:10 כִּ֣י For kî בְּצוּרָה֙ the fortified bə·ṣū·rāh עִ֤יר city ‘îr בָּדָ֔ד lies deserted — bā·ḏāḏ נָוֶ֕ה a homestead nā·weh מְשֻׁלָּ֥ח abandoned , mə·šul·lāḥ כַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר a wilderness kam·miḏ·bār וְנֶעֱזָ֖ב forsaken . wə·ne·‘ĕ·zāḇ שָׁ֣ם There šām עֵ֛גֶל the calves ‘ê·ḡel יִרְעֶ֥ה graze , yir·‘eh וְשָׁ֥ם and there wə·šām יִרְבָּ֖ץ they lie down ; yir·bāṣ וְכִלָּ֥ה they strip wə·ḵil·lāh סְעִפֶֽיהָ׃ its branches {bare} . sə·‘i·p̄e·hā Isaiah 27:11 קְצִירָהּ֙ When its limbs qə·ṣî·rāh בִּיבֹ֤שׁ are dry , bî·ḇōš תִּשָּׁבַ֔רְנָה they are broken off . tiš·šā·ḇar·nāh נָשִׁ֕ים Women nā·šîm בָּא֖וֹת come bā·’ō·wṯ מְאִיר֣וֹת and use them for kindling mə·’î·rō·wṯ אוֹתָ֑הּ - ; ’ō·w·ṯāh כִּ֣י for kî ה֔וּא this [is] hū עַם־ a people ‘am- לֹ֤א without lō בִּינוֹת֙ understanding . bî·nō·wṯ עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּן֙ . . . kên עֹשֵׂ֔הוּ their Maker ‘ō·śê·hū לֹֽא־ has no lō- יְרַחֲמֶ֣נּוּ compassion on them , yə·ra·ḥă·men·nū וְיֹצְר֖וֹ and their Creator wə·yō·ṣə·rōw לֹ֥א shows them no lō יְחֻנֶּֽנּוּ׃ס favor . yə·ḥun·nen·nū Isaiah 27:12 וְהָיָה֙ - wə·hā·yāh הַה֔וּא In that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh יַחְבֹּ֧ט will thresh yaḥ·bōṭ מִשִּׁבֹּ֥לֶת from the flowing miš·šib·bō·leṯ הַנָּהָ֖ר Euphrates han·nā·hār עַד־ to ‘aḏ- נַ֣חַל the Wadi na·ḥal מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt , miṣ·rā·yim וְאַתֶּ֧ם and you , wə·’at·tem בְּנֵ֥י O Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס . . . , yiś·rā·’êl
