עֲוֺ֥ן for their iniquity ‘ă·wōn עָלָ֑יו . . . . ‘ā·lāw הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ The earth hā·’ā·reṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְגִלְּתָ֤ה will reveal wə·ḡil·lə·ṯāh דָּמֶ֔יהָ her bloodshed dā·me·hā וְלֹֽא־ and will no wə·lō- ע֖וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ עַל־ . . . ‘al- תְכַסֶּ֥ה conceal ṯə·ḵas·seh הֲרוּגֶֽיהָ׃ס her slain . hă·rū·ḡe·hā Isaiah 27:1 הַה֡וּא In that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm יְהוָה֩ YHWH Yah·weh הַקָּשָׁ֜ה [will take] His sharp , haq·qā·šāh וְהַגְּדוֹלָ֣ה great , wə·hag·gə·ḏō·w·lāh וְהַֽחֲזָקָ֗ה and mighty wə·ha·ḥă·zā·qāh בְּחַרְב֨וֹ sword , bə·ḥar·ḇō יִפְקֹ֣ד and bring judgment yip̄·qōḏ עַ֤ל on ‘al לִוְיָתָן֙ Leviathan liw·yā·ṯān בָּרִ֔חַ the fleeing bā·ri·aḥ וְעַל֙ . . . wə·‘al נָחָ֣שׁ serpent — nā·ḥāš לִוְיָתָ֔ן Leviathan liw·yā·ṯān עֲקַלָּת֑וֹן the coiling ‘ă·qal·lā·ṯō·wn נָחָ֖שׁ serpent — nā·ḥāš וְהָרַ֥ג and He will slay wə·hā·raḡ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַתַּנִּ֖ין the dragon hat·tan·nîn אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בַּיָּֽם׃ס of the sea . bay·yām Isaiah 27:2 הַה֑וּא In that ha·hū בַּיּ֖וֹם day : bay·yō·wm עַנּוּ־ “ Sing ‘an·nū- לָֽהּ׃ lāh חֶ֖מֶד about a fruitful ḥɛ·mɛḏ כֶּ֥רֶם vineyard . ke·rem Isaiah 27:3 אֲנִ֤י I , ’ă·nî יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh נֹֽצְרָ֔הּ am its keeper ; nō·ṣə·rāh אַשְׁקֶ֑נָּה I water it continually ’aš·qen·nāh לִרְגָעִ֖ים . . . . lir·ḡā·‘îm אֶצֳּרֶֽנָּה׃ I guard it ’eṣ·ṣo·ren·nāh לַ֥יְלָה night lay·lāh וָי֖וֹם and day wā·yō·wm פֶּ֚ן so no one pen יִפְקֹ֣ד can disturb yip̄·qōḏ עָלֶ֔יהָ it ; ‘ā·le·hā Isaiah 27:4 אֵ֣ין I am not ’ên לִ֑י lî מִֽי־ - mî- חֵמָ֖ה angry . ḥê·māh שַׁ֙יִת֙ If only thorns ša·yiṯ שָׁמִ֥יר and briers šā·mîr יִתְּנֵ֜נִי confronted Me , yit·tə·nê·nî בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה I would march bam·mil·ḥā·māh אֶפְשְׂעָ֥ה and trample them ’ep̄·śə·‘āh בָ֖הּ , ḇāh אֲצִיתֶ֥נָּה I would burn them ’ă·ṣî·ṯen·nāh יָּֽחַד׃ to the ground . yā·ḥaḏ Isaiah 27:5 א֚וֹ Or ’ōw יַחֲזֵ֣ק let them lay claim ya·ḥă·zêq בְּמָעוּזִּ֔י to My protection ; bə·mā·‘ūz·zî יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה let them make ya·‘ă·śeh שָׁל֖וֹם peace šā·lō·wm לִ֑י with Me — lî יַֽעֲשֶׂה־ [yes,] let them make ya·‘ă·śeh- שָׁל֖וֹם peace šā·lō·wm לִּֽי׃ with Me . ” lî Isaiah 27:6 הַבָּאִים֙ In the days to come , hab·bā·’îm יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ יַשְׁרֵ֣שׁ will take root . yaš·rêš יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl וּפָרַ֖ח will bud ū·p̄ā·raḥ יָצִ֥יץ and blossom yā·ṣîṣ וּמָלְא֥וּ and fill ū·mā·lə·’ū פְנֵי־ the whole world p̄ə·nê- תֵבֵ֖ל . . . ṯê·ḇêl תְּנוּבָֽה׃ס with fruit . tə·nū·ḇāh
