Isaiah 26:8 אַ֣ף Yes , ’ap̄ קִוִּינ֑וּךָ we wait for You , qiw·wî·nū·ḵā יְהוָ֖ה O YHWH ; Yah·weh אֹ֧רַח [we walk] in the path ’ō·raḥ מִשְׁפָּטֶ֛יךָ of Your judgments . miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā לְשִׁמְךָ֥ Your name lə·šim·ḵā וּֽלְזִכְרְךָ֖ and renown ū·lə·ziḵ·rə·ḵā תַּאֲוַת־ are the desire ta·’ă·waṯ- נָֽפֶשׁ׃ of [our] souls . nā·p̄eš Isaiah 26:9 נַפְשִׁ֤י My soul nap̄·šî אִוִּיתִ֙יךָ֙ longs [for You] ’iw·wî·ṯî·ḵā בַּלַּ֔יְלָה in the night ; bal·lay·lāh אַף־ indeed , ’ap̄- רוּחִ֥י my spirit rū·ḥî אֲשַֽׁחֲרֶ֑ךָּ seeks You ’ă·ša·ḥă·re·kā בְקִרְבִּ֖י at dawn . ḇə·qir·bî כִּ֞י For kî כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר when ka·’ă·šer מִשְׁפָּטֶ֙יךָ֙ Your judgments miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā לָאָ֔רֶץ [come] upon the earth , lā·’ā·reṣ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י the people yō·šə·ḇê תֵבֵֽל׃ of the world ṯê·ḇêl לָמְד֖וּ learn lā·mə·ḏū צֶ֥דֶק righteousness . ṣe·ḏeq Isaiah 26:10 יֻחַ֤ן Though grace is shown yu·ḥan רָשָׁע֙ to the wicked man , rā·šā‘ בַּל־ he does not bal- לָמַ֣ד learn lā·maḏ צֶ֔דֶק righteousness . ṣe·ḏeq בְּאֶ֥רֶץ In the land bə·’e·reṣ נְכֹח֖וֹת of righteousness nə·ḵō·ḥō·wṯ יְעַוֵּ֑ל he acts unjustly yə·‘aw·wêl וּבַל־ and fails ū·ḇal- יִרְאֶ֖ה to see yir·’eh גֵּא֥וּת the majesty gê·’ūṯ יְהוָֽה׃ס of YHWH . Yah·weh Isaiah 26:11 יְהוָ֛ה O YHWH , Yah·weh יָדְךָ֖ Your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā רָ֥מָה is upraised , rā·māh בַּל־ but they do not bal- יֶחֱזָי֑וּן see it . ye·ḥĕ·zā·yūn יֶחֱז֤וּ They will see ye·ḥĕ·zū קִנְאַת־ Your zeal qin·’aṯ- עָ֔ם for Your people ‘ām אַף־ . . . ’ap̄- וְיֵבֹ֙שׁוּ֙ and be put to shame . wə·yê·ḇō·šū אֵ֖שׁ The fire [set] ’êš צָרֶ֥יךָ for Your enemies ṣā·re·ḵā תֹאכְלֵֽם׃ס will consume them ! ṯō·ḵə·lêm Isaiah 26:12 יְהוָ֕ה O YHWH , Yah·weh תִּשְׁפֹּ֥ת You will establish tiš·pōṯ שָׁל֖וֹם peace šā·lō·wm לָ֑נוּ for us . lā·nū כִּ֛י For kî גַּ֥ם . . . gam כָּֽל־ all kāl- מַעֲשֵׂ֖ינוּ that we have accomplished , ma·‘ă·śê·nū פָּעַ֥לְתָּ You have done pā·‘al·tā לָּֽנוּ׃ for us . lā·nū Isaiah 26:13 יְהוָ֣ה O YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū אֲדֹנִ֖ים [other] lords ’ă·ḏō·nîm זֽוּלָתֶ֑ךָ besides You zū·lā·ṯe·ḵā בְּעָל֥וּנוּ have had dominion , bə·‘ā·lū·nū שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ but Your name šə·me·ḵā לְבַד־ alone lə·ḇaḏ- נַזְכִּ֥יר do we confess naz·kîr בְּךָ֖ . bə·ḵā Isaiah 26:14 מֵתִים֙ The dead mê·ṯîm בַּל־ will not bal- יִחְי֔וּ live ; yiḥ·yū רְפָאִ֖ים the departed spirits rə·p̄ā·’îm בַּל־ will not bal- יָקֻ֑מוּ rise . yā·qu·mū לָכֵ֤ן Therefore lā·ḵên פָּקַ֙דְתָּ֙ You have punished pā·qaḏ·tā וַתַּשְׁמִידֵ֔ם and destroyed them ; wat·taš·mî·ḏêm וַתְּאַבֵּ֥ד You have wiped out wat·tə·’ab·bêḏ כָּל־ all kāl-
