יָמִ֖ים many days . yā·mîm Isaiah 24:23 הַלְּבָנָ֔ה The moon hal·lə·ḇā·nāh וְחָֽפְרָה֙ will be confounded wə·ḥā·p̄ə·rāh הַֽחַמָּ֑ה and the sun ha·ḥam·māh וּבוֹשָׁ֖ה will be ashamed ; ū·ḇō·wō·šāh כִּֽי־ for kî- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֗וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ מָלַ֞ךְ will reign mā·laḵ בְּהַ֤ר on Mount bə·har צִיּוֹן֙ Zion ṣî·yō·wn וּבִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם and in Jerusalem , ū·ḇî·rū·šā·lim וְנֶ֥גֶד and before wə·ne·ḡeḏ זְקֵנָ֖יו His elders zə·qê·nāw כָּבֽוֹד׃פ with great glory . kā·ḇō·wḏ Isaiah 25:1 יְהוָ֤ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אַתָּ֔ה You ’at·tāh אֱלֹהַי֙ are my God ! ’ĕ·lō·hay אֲרֽוֹמִמְךָ֙ I will exalt You ; ’ă·rō·w·mim·ḵā אוֹדֶ֣ה I will praise ’ō·w·ḏeh שִׁמְךָ֔ Your name . šim·ḵā כִּ֥י For kî עָשִׂ֖יתָ You have worked ‘ā·śî·ṯā פֶּ֑לֶא wonders — pe·le עֵצ֥וֹת plans ‘ê·ṣō·wṯ מֵֽרָח֖וֹק [formed] long ago — mê·rā·ḥō·wq אֱמ֥וּנָה in perfect faithfulness ’ĕ·mū·nāh אֹֽמֶן׃ . . . . ’ō·men Isaiah 25:2 כִּ֣י Indeed , kî שַׂ֤מְתָּ You have made śam·tā מֵעִיר֙ the city mê·‘îr לַגָּ֔ל a heap of rubble , lag·gāl בְצוּרָ֖ה the fortified ḇə·ṣū·rāh קִרְיָ֥ה town qir·yāh לְמַפֵּלָ֑ה a ruin . lə·map·pê·lāh אַרְמ֤וֹן The fortress ’ar·mō·wn זָרִים֙ of strangers zā·rîm מֵעִ֔יר [is] a city [no more] ; mê·‘îr לְעוֹלָ֖ם it will never lə·‘ō·w·lām לֹ֥א . . . lō יִבָּנֶֽה׃ be rebuilt . yib·bā·neh Isaiah 25:3 עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֖ן . . . , kên עָ֑ז a strong ‘āz עַם־ people ‘am- יְכַבְּד֣וּךָ will honor You . yə·ḵab·bə·ḏū·ḵā קִרְיַ֛ת The cities qir·yaṯ עָרִיצִ֖ים of ruthless ‘ā·rî·ṣîm גּוֹיִ֥ם nations gō·w·yim יִירָאֽוּךָ׃ will revere You . yî·rā·’ū·ḵā Isaiah 25:4 כִּֽי־ For kî- הָיִ֨יתָ You have been hā·yî·ṯā מָע֥וֹז a refuge mā·‘ō·wz לַדָּ֛ל for the poor , lad·dāl מָע֥וֹז a stronghold mā·‘ō·wz לָאֶבְי֖וֹן for the needy lā·’eḇ·yō·wn בַּצַּר־ in distress baṣ·ṣar- ל֑וֹ , lōw מַחְסֶ֤ה a refuge maḥ·seh מִזֶּ֙רֶם֙ from the storm , miz·ze·rem צֵ֣ל a shade ṣêl מֵחֹ֔רֶב from the heat . mê·ḥō·reḇ כִּ֛י For kî ר֥וּחַ the breath rū·aḥ עָרִיצִ֖ים of the ruthless ‘ā·rî·ṣîm כְּזֶ֥רֶם is like rain kə·ze·rem קִֽיר׃ against a wall , qîr Isaiah 25:5 כְּחֹ֣רֶב like heat kə·ḥō·reḇ בְּצָי֔וֹן in a dry land . bə·ṣā·yō·wn תַּכְנִ֑יעַ You subdue taḵ·nî·a‘ שְׁא֥וֹן the uproar šə·’ō·wn זָרִ֖ים of foreigners . zā·rîm בְּצֵ֣ל As the shade bə·ṣêl עָ֔ב of a cloud ‘āḇ חֹ֚רֶב cools the heat , ḥō·reḇ זְמִ֥יר so the song zə·mîr עָֽרִיצִ֖ים of the ruthless ‘ā·rî·ṣîm יַעֲנֶֽה׃פ is silenced . ya·‘ă·neh Isaiah 25:6 הַזֶּ֔ה On this haz·zeh
