שָׁבַת֙ have ceased ; šā·ḇaṯ שְׁא֣וֹן the noise šə·’ō·wn עַלִּיזִ֑ים of revelers ‘al·lî·zîm חָדַ֖ל has stopped ; ḥā·ḏal מְשׂ֥וֹשׂ the joyful mə·śō·wś כִּנּֽוֹר׃ harp kin·nō·wr שָׁבַ֖ת is silent . šā·ḇaṯ Isaiah 24:9 לֹ֣א They no lō בַּשִּׁ֖יר longer sing baš·šîr יִשְׁתּוּ־ and drink yiš·tū- יָ֑יִן wine ; yā·yin שֵׁכָ֖ר strong drink šê·ḵār יֵמַ֥ר is bitter yê·mar לְשֹׁתָֽיו׃ to those who consume it . lə·šō·ṯāw Isaiah 24:10 קִרְיַת־ The city qir·yaṯ- תֹּ֑הוּ of chaos tō·hū נִשְׁבְּרָ֖ה is shattered ; niš·bə·rāh כָּל־ every kāl- בַּ֖יִת house ba·yiṯ סֻגַּ֥ר is closed sug·gar מִבּֽוֹא׃ to entry . mib·bō·w Isaiah 24:11 בַּֽחוּצ֑וֹת In the streets ba·ḥū·ṣō·wṯ צְוָחָ֥ה they cry out ṣə·wā·ḥāh עַל־ for ‘al- הַיַּ֖יִן wine . hay·ya·yin כָּל־ All kāl- שִׂמְחָ֔ה joy śim·ḥāh עָֽרְבָה֙ turns to gloom ; ‘ā·rə·ḇāh מְשׂ֥וֹשׂ rejoicing mə·śō·wś גָּלָ֖ה is exiled gā·lāh הָאָֽרֶץ׃ from the land . hā·’ā·reṣ Isaiah 24:12 בָּעִ֖יר The city bā·‘îr נִשְׁאַ֥ר is left niš·’ar שַׁמָּ֑ה in ruins ; šam·māh שָֽׁעַר׃ its gate šā·‘ar יֻכַּת־ is reduced yuk·kaṯ- וּשְׁאִיָּ֖ה to rubble . ū·šə·’î·yāh Isaiah 24:13 כִּ֣י So kî כֹ֥ה . . . ḵōh יִהְיֶ֛ה will it be yih·yeh בְּקֶ֥רֶב on bə·qe·reḇ הָאָ֖רֶץ the earth hā·’ā·reṣ בְּת֣וֹךְ [and] among bə·ṯō·wḵ הָֽעַמִּ֑ים the nations , hā·‘am·mîm כְּנֹ֣קֶף like a harvested kə·nō·qep̄ זַ֔יִת olive tree , za·yiṯ כְּעוֹלֵלֹ֖ת like a gleaning kə·‘ō·w·lê·lōṯ אִם־ after ’im- כָּלָ֥ה . . . kā·lāh בָצִֽיר׃ a grape harvest . ḇā·ṣîr Isaiah 24:14 הֵ֛מָּה They hêm·māh יִשְׂא֥וּ raise yiś·’ū קוֹלָ֖ם their voices , qō·w·lām יָרֹ֑נּוּ they shout for joy ; yā·rōn·nū מִיָּֽם׃ from the west mî·yām צָהֲל֖וּ they proclaim ṣā·hă·lū בִּגְא֣וֹן the majesty biḡ·’ō·wn יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH . Yah·weh Isaiah 24:15 עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כַּבְּד֣וּ glorify kab·bə·ḏū יְהוָ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh כֵּ֥ן . . . kên בָּאֻרִ֖ים in the east . bā·’u·rîm שֵׁ֥ם Extol the name šêm יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס of Israel yiś·rā·’êl בְּאִיֵּ֣י in the islands bə·’î·yê הַיָּ֔ם of the sea . hay·yām Isaiah 24:16 מִכְּנַ֨ף From the ends mik·kə·nap̄ הָאָ֜רֶץ of the earth hā·’ā·reṣ שָׁמַ֙עְנוּ֙ we hear šā·ma‘·nū זְמִרֹ֤ת singing : zə·mi·rōṯ צְבִ֣י “ Glory ṣə·ḇî לַצַּדִּ֔יק to the Righteous One . ” laṣ·ṣad·dîq וָאֹמַ֛ר But I said , wā·’ō·mar
