Isaiah 22:25 הַה֗וּא In that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day , bay·yō·wm נְאֻם֙ declares nə·’um יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ הַיָּתֵ֔ד the peg hay·yā·ṯêḏ הַתְּקוּעָ֖ה driven hat·tə·qū·‘āh נֶאֱמָ֑ן into a firm ne·’ĕ·mān בְּמָק֣וֹם place bə·mā·qō·wm תָּמוּשׁ֙ will give way ; tā·mūš וְנִגְדְּעָ֣ה it will be sheared off wə·niḡ·də·‘āh וְנָפְלָ֗ה and fall , wə·nā·p̄ə·lāh הַמַּשָּׂ֣א and the load ham·maś·śā אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עָלֶ֔יהָ upon it ‘ā·le·hā וְנִכְרַת֙ will be cut down . ” wə·niḵ·raṯ כִּ֥י Indeed , kî יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֵּֽר׃ס has spoken . dib·bêr Isaiah 23:1 מַשָּׂ֖א [This is] the burden maś·śā צֹ֑ר against Tyre : ṣōr הֵילִ֣ילוּ׀ Wail , hê·lî·lū אֳנִיּ֣וֹת O ships ’o·nî·yō·wṯ תַּרְשִׁ֗ישׁ of Tarshish , tar·šîš כִּֽי־ for kî- שֻׁדַּ֤ד [Tyre] is laid waste , šud·daḏ מִבַּ֙יִת֙ without house mib·ba·yiṯ מִבּ֔וֹא [or] harbor . mib·bō·w נִגְלָה־ Word has reached niḡ·lāh- לָֽמוֹ׃ them lā·mōw מֵאֶ֥רֶץ from the land mê·’e·reṣ כִּתִּ֖ים of Cyprus . kit·tîm Isaiah 23:2 דֹּ֖מּוּ Be silent , dōm·mū יֹ֣שְׁבֵי O dwellers yō·šə·ḇê אִ֑י of the coastland , ’î סֹחֵ֥ר you merchants sō·ḥêr צִיד֛וֹן of Sidon , ṣî·ḏō·wn עֹבֵ֥ר whose traders ‘ō·ḇêr מִלְאֽוּךְ׃ have crossed mil·’ūḵ יָ֖ם the sea . yām Isaiah 23:3 רַבִּים֙ On the great rab·bîm וּבְמַ֤יִם waters ū·ḇə·ma·yim זֶ֣רַע came the grain ze·ra‘ שִׁחֹ֔ר of Shihor ; ši·ḥōr קְצִ֥יר the harvest qə·ṣîr יְא֖וֹר of the Nile yə·’ō·wr תְּבֽוּאָתָ֑הּ was the revenue of Tyre ; tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯāh וַתְּהִ֖י she was wat·tə·hî סְחַ֥ר the merchant sə·ḥar גּוֹיִֽם׃ of the nations . gō·w·yim Isaiah 23:4 בּ֣וֹשִׁי Be ashamed , bō·wō·šî צִיד֔וֹן O Sidon , ṣî·ḏō·wn מָע֥וֹז the stronghold mā·‘ō·wz יָ֔ם of the sea , yām כִּֽי־ for kî- הַיָּ֖ם the sea hay·yām לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr אָמַ֣ר has spoken : ’ā·mar לֹֽא־ “ I have not lō- חַ֣לְתִּי been in labor ḥal·tî יָלַ֗דְתִּי or given birth yā·laḏ·tî וְלֹ֥א . . . . wə·lō וְלֹֽא־ I have not wə·lō- גִדַּ֛לְתִּי raised ḡid·dal·tî בַּחוּרִ֖ים young men ba·ḥū·rîm רוֹמַ֥מְתִּי or brought up rō·w·mam·tî בְתוּלֽוֹת׃ young women . ” ḇə·ṯū·lō·wṯ Isaiah 23:5 כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־ When ka·’ă·šer- שֵׁ֖מַע the report [reaches] šê·ma‘ לְמִצְרָ֑יִם Egypt , lə·miṣ·rā·yim יָחִ֖ילוּ they will writhe in agony yā·ḥî·lū כְּשֵׁ֥מַע over the news kə·šê·ma‘ צֹֽר׃ of Tyre . ṣōr Isaiah 23:6 עִבְר֖וּ Cross over ‘iḇ·rū תַּרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה to Tarshish ; tar·šî·šāh הֵילִ֖ילוּ wail , hê·lî·lū יֹ֥שְׁבֵי O inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê אִֽי׃ of the coastland ! ’î
