כָּל־ night after kāl- הַלֵּילֽוֹת׃ night hal·lê·lō·wṯ אָנֹכִ֥י I ’ā·nō·ḵî נִצָּ֖ב stay niṣ·ṣāḇ וְעַל־ at wə·‘al- מִ֨שְׁמַרְתִּ֔י my post . miš·mar·tî Isaiah 21:9 וְהִנֵּה־ Look , wə·hin·nêh- זֶ֥ה here zeh בָא֙ come ḇā רֶ֣כֶב the riders re·ḵeḇ אִ֔ישׁ . . . , ’îš פָּֽרָשִׁ֑ים horsemen pā·rā·šîm צֶ֖מֶד in pairs . ” ṣe·meḏ וַיַּ֣עַן And one answered , way·ya·‘an וַיֹּ֗אמֶר saying : way·yō·mer נָפְלָ֤ה “ Fallen , nā·p̄ə·lāh נָֽפְלָה֙ fallen is nā·p̄ə·lāh בָּבֶ֔ל Babylon ! bā·ḇel וְכָל־ All wə·ḵāl פְּסִילֵ֥י the images pə·sî·lê אֱלֹהֶ֖יהָ of her gods ’ĕ·lō·he·hā שִׁבַּ֥ר lie shattered šib·bar לָאָֽרֶץ׃ on the ground ! ” lā·’ā·reṣ Isaiah 21:10 וּבֶן־ O my people , ū·ḇen- מְדֻשָׁתִ֖י crushed mə·ḏu·šā·ṯî גָּרְנִ֑י on the threshing floor , gā·rə·nî הִגַּ֥דְתִּי I tell hig·gaḏ·tî לָכֶֽם׃ס you lā·ḵem אֲשֶׁ֣ר what ’ă·šer שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי I have heard šā·ma‘·tî מֵאֵ֨ת from mê·’êṯ יְהוָ֧ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֛וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Isaiah 21:11 מַשָּׂ֖א [This is] the burden maś·śā דּוּמָ֑ה against Dumah : dū·māh קֹרֵ֣א One calls qō·rê אֵלַי֙ to me ’ê·lay מִשֵּׂעִ֔יר from Seir , miś·śê·‘îr שֹׁמֵר֙ “ Watchman , šō·mêr מַה־ what is left mah- מִלַּ֔יְלָה of the night ? mil·lay·lāh שֹׁמֵ֖ר Watchman , šō·mêr מַה־ what is left mah- מִלֵּֽיל׃ of the night ? ” mil·lêl Isaiah 21:12 שֹׁמֵ֔ר The watchman šō·mêr אָמַ֣ר replies , ’ā·mar בֹ֖קֶר “ Morning ḇō·qer אָתָ֥ה has come , ’ā·ṯāh וְגַם־ but also wə·ḡam- לָ֑יְלָה the night . lā·yə·lāh אִם־ If ’im- תִּבְעָי֥וּן you would inquire , tiḇ·‘ā·yūn בְּעָ֖יוּ then inquire . bə·‘ā·yū אֵתָֽיוּ׃ס Come back ’ê·ṯā·yū שֻׁ֥בוּ yet again . ” šu·ḇū Isaiah 21:13 מַשָּׂ֖א [This is] the burden maś·śā בַּעְרָ֑ב against Arabia : ba‘·rāḇ בַּיַּ֤עַר In the thickets bay·ya·‘ar בַּעְרַב֙ of Arabia ba‘·raḇ תָּלִ֔ינוּ you must lodge , tā·lî·nū אֹֽרְח֖וֹת O caravans ’ō·rə·ḥō·wṯ דְּדָנִֽים׃ of Dedanites . də·ḏā·nîm Isaiah 21:14 לִקְרַ֥את - liq·raṯ הֵתָ֣יוּ Bring hê·ṯā·yū מָ֑יִם water mā·yim צָמֵ֖א for the thirsty , ṣā·mê יֹשְׁבֵי֙ O dwellers yō·šə·ḇê אֶ֣רֶץ vvv ’e·reṣ תֵּימָ֔א of Tema ; tê·mā קִדְּמ֥וּ meet qid·də·mū נֹדֵֽד׃ the refugees nō·ḏêḏ בְּלַחְמ֖וֹ with food . bə·laḥ·mōw Isaiah 21:15 כִּֽי־ For kî- נָדָ֑דוּ they flee nā·ḏā·ḏū מִפְּנֵ֥י from mip·pə·nê חֲרָב֖וֹת the sword — ḥă·rā·ḇō·wṯ מִפְּנֵ֣י׀ . . . mip·pə·nê
