Exodus 8:9 מֹשֶׁ֣ה Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer לְפַרְעֹה֮ to Pharaoh , lə·p̄ar·‘ōh הִתְפָּאֵ֣ר “ You may have the honor hiṯ·pā·’êr עָלַי֒ over me . ‘ā·lay לְמָתַ֣י׀ When lə·mā·ṯay אַעְתִּ֣יר shall I pray ’a‘·tîr לְךָ֗ for you lə·ḵā וְלַעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ and your officials wə·la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā וּֽלְעַמְּךָ֔ and your people ū·lə·‘am·mə·ḵā הַֽצֲפַרְדְּעִ֔ים that the frogs ha·ṣă·p̄ar·də·‘îm תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃ ( except for those tiš·šā·’ar·nāh רַ֥ק . . . raq בַּיְאֹ֖ר in the Nile ) bay·’ōr לְהַכְרִית֙ may be taken away lə·haḵ·rîṯ מִמְּךָ֖ from mim·mə·ḵā וּמִבָּתֶּ֑יךָ you and your houses ? ” ū·mib·bāt·te·ḵā Exodus 8:10 לְמָחָ֑ר “ Tomorrow , ” lə·mā·ḥār וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [Pharaoh] answered . way·yō·mer כִּדְבָ֣רְךָ֔ “ [May it be] as you say , ” kiḏ·ḇā·rə·ḵā וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ Moses replied , way·yō·mer לְמַ֣עַן “ so that lə·ma·‘an תֵּדַ֔ע you may know tê·ḏa‘ כִּי־ that kî- אֵ֖ין there is no one ’ên כַּיהוָ֥ה like YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ our God . ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū Exodus 8:11 הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֗ים The frogs haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm וְסָר֣וּ will depart wə·sā·rū מִמְּךָ֙ from you mim·mə·ḵā וּמִבָּ֣תֶּ֔יךָ and your houses ū·mib·bāt·te·ḵā וּמֵעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ and your officials ū·mê·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā וּמֵעַמֶּ֑ךָ and your people ; ū·mê·‘am·me·ḵā תִּשָּׁאַֽרְנָה׃ they will remain tiš·šā·’ar·nāh רַ֥ק only raq בַּיְאֹ֖ר in the Nile . ” bay·’ōr Exodus 8:12 מֹשֶׁ֛ה After Moses mō·šeh וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן and Aaron wə·’a·hă·rōn וַיֵּצֵ֥א had left way·yê·ṣê מֵעִ֣ם . . . mê·‘im פַּרְעֹ֑ה Pharaoh , par·‘ōh מֹשֶׁה֙ Moses mō·šeh אֶל־ cried out to ’el- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּצְעַ֤ק for help way·yiṣ·‘aq עַל־ ‘al- דְּבַ֥ר with də·ḇar הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֖ים the frogs haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- שָׂ֥ם He had brought śām לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ against Pharaoh . lə·p̄ar·‘ōh Exodus 8:13 יְהוָ֖ה And YHWH Yah·weh וַיַּ֥עַשׂ did way·ya·‘aś מֹשֶׁ֑ה as Moses mō·šeh כִּדְבַ֣ר requested , kiḏ·ḇar הַֽצְפַרְדְּעִ֔ים and the frogs haṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm מִן־ in min- הַבָּתִּ֥ים the houses , hab·bāt·tîm מִן־ . . . min- הַחֲצֵרֹ֖ת the courtyards , ha·ḥă·ṣê·rōṯ וּמִן־ . . . ū·min- הַשָּׂדֹֽת׃ and the fields haś·śā·ḏōṯ וַיָּמֻ֙תוּ֙ died . way·yā·mu·ṯū Exodus 8:14 וַיִּצְבְּר֥וּ They were piled way·yiṣ·bə·rū אֹתָ֖ם . . . ’ō·ṯām חֳמָרִ֣ם into countless heaps ḥo·mā·rim חֳמָרִ֑ם . . . , ḥo·mā·rim וַתִּבְאַ֖שׁ and there was a terrible stench wat·tiḇ·’aš הָאָֽרֶץ׃ in the land . hā·’ā·reṣ Exodus 8:15 פַּרְעֹ֗ה When Pharaoh par·‘ōh כִּ֤י . . . kî וַיַּ֣רְא saw that way·yar הָֽיְתָה֙ there was hā·yə·ṯāh הָֽרְוָחָ֔ה relief, however , hā·rə·wā·ḥāh וְהַכְבֵּד֙ he hardened wə·haḵ·bêḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לִבּ֔וֹ his heart lib·bōw וְלֹ֥א and would not wə·lō שָׁמַ֖ע listen šā·ma‘ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם to [Moses and Aaron] , ’ă·lê·hem
