הַיְאֹ֑ר its hay·’ōr מַ֖יִם water . ma·yim וַיְהִ֥י And there was way·hî הַדָּ֖ם blood had·dām בְּכָל־ throughout bə·ḵāl אֶ֥רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Exodus 7:22 חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י But the magicians ḥar·ṭum·mê מִצְרַ֖יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־ did way·ya·‘ă·śū- כֵ֛ן the same things ḵên בְּלָטֵיהֶ֑ם by their magic arts . bə·lā·ṭê·hem פַּרְעֹה֙ So Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh לֵב־ heart lêḇ- וַיֶּחֱזַ֤ק was hardened , way·ye·ḥĕ·zaq וְלֹא־ and he would not wə·lō- שָׁמַ֣ע listen šā·ma‘ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם to [Moses and Aaron] , ’ă·lê·hem כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֥ר had said . dib·ber Exodus 7:23 פַּרְעֹ֔ה Instead, Pharaoh par·‘ōh וַיִּ֣פֶן turned around , way·yi·p̄en וַיָּבֹ֖א went way·yā·ḇō אֶל־ into ’el- בֵּית֑וֹ his palace , bê·ṯōw וְלֹא־ and did not wə·lō- שָׁ֥ת take šāṯ גַּם־ any gam- לָזֹֽאת׃ of this lā·zōṯ לִבּ֖וֹ to heart . lib·bōw Exodus 7:24 כָל־ So all ḵāl מִצְרַ֛יִם the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim וַיַּחְפְּר֧וּ dug way·yaḥ·pə·rū סְבִיבֹ֥ת around sə·ḇî·ḇōṯ הַיְאֹ֖ר the Nile hay·’ōr מַ֣יִם for water ma·yim לִשְׁתּ֑וֹת to drink , liš·tō·wṯ כִּ֣י because kî יָֽכְלוּ֙ they could yā·ḵə·lū לֹ֤א not lō לִשְׁתֹּ֔ת drink liš·tōṯ מִמֵּימֵ֖י the water mim·mê·mê הַיְאֹֽר׃ from the river . hay·’ōr Exodus 7:25 שִׁבְעַ֣ת And seven šiḇ·‘aṯ יָמִ֑ים full days yā·mîm וַיִּמָּלֵ֖א passed way·yim·mā·lê אַחֲרֵ֥י after ’a·ḥă·rê יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַכּוֹת־ had struck hak·kō·wṯ- הַיְאֹֽר׃פ the Nile . hay·’ōr Exodus 8:1 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh בֹּ֖א “ Go bō אֶל־ to ’el- פַּרְעֹ֑ה Pharaoh par·‘ōh וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ and tell him that wə·’ā·mar·tā אֵלָ֗יו . . . ’ê·lāw כֹּ֚ה this is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar עַמִּ֖י ‘ Let My people ‘am·mî שַׁלַּ֥ח go , šal·laḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ so that they may worship Me . wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî Exodus 8:2 וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- אַתָּ֖ה you ’at·tāh מָאֵ֥ן refuse mā·’ên לְשַׁלֵּ֑חַ to let them go , lə·šal·lê·aḥ הִנֵּ֣ה - hin·nêh אָנֹכִ֗י I ’ā·nō·ḵî נֹגֵ֛ף will plague nō·ḡêp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ vvv kāl- גְּבוּלְךָ֖ your whole country gə·ḇū·lə·ḵā בַּֽצְפַרְדְּעִֽים׃ with frogs . baṣ·p̄ar·də·‘îm
