הֵ֜ם and they hêm גַם־ also ḡam- וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֨וּ did way·ya·‘ă·śū כֵּֽן׃ the same things kên בְּלַהֲטֵיהֶ֖ם by their magic arts . bə·la·hă·ṭê·hem Exodus 7:12 אִ֣ישׁ Each ’îš וַיַּשְׁלִ֙יכוּ֙ one threw down way·yaš·lî·ḵū מַטֵּ֔הוּ his staff , maṭ·ṭê·hū וַיִּהְי֖וּ and it became way·yih·yū לְתַנִּינִ֑ם a serpent . lə·ṯan·nî·nim אַהֲרֹ֖ן But Aaron’s ’a·hă·rōn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַטֵּֽה־ staff maṭ·ṭêh- וַיִּבְלַ֥ע swallowed up way·yiḇ·la‘ מַטֹּתָֽם׃ [the other] staffs . maṭ·ṭō·ṯām Exodus 7:13 פַּרְעֹ֔ה Still, Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh לֵ֣ב heart lêḇ וַיֶּחֱזַק֙ was hardened , way·ye·ḥĕ·zaq וְלֹ֥א and he would not wə·lō שָׁמַ֖ע listen šā·ma‘ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם to them , ’ă·lê·hem כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָֽה׃פ YHWH Yah·weh דִּבֶּ֥ר had said . dib·ber Exodus 7:14 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh פַּרְעֹ֑ה “ Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh לֵ֣ב heart lêḇ כָּבֵ֖ד [is] unyielding ; kā·ḇêḏ מֵאֵ֖ן he refuses mê·’ên הָעָֽם׃ to let the people hā·‘ām לְשַׁלַּ֥ח go . lə·šal·laḥ Exodus 7:15 לֵ֣ךְ Go lêḵ אֶל־ to ’el- פַּרְעֹ֞ה Pharaoh par·‘ōh בַּבֹּ֗קֶר in the morning bab·bō·qer הִנֵּה֙ as you see him hin·nêh יֹצֵ֣א walking out yō·ṣê הַמַּ֔יְמָה to the water . ham·may·māh וְנִצַּבְתָּ֥ Wait wə·niṣ·ṣaḇ·tā עַל־ on ‘al- שְׂפַ֣ת the bank śə·p̄aṯ הַיְאֹ֑ר of the Nile hay·’ōr לִקְרָאת֖וֹ to meet him , liq·rā·ṯōw תִּקַּ֥ח and take tiq·qaḥ בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃ in your hand bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā וְהַמַּטֶּ֛ה the staff wə·ham·maṭ·ṭeh אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נֶהְפַּ֥ךְ was changed neh·paḵ לְנָחָ֖שׁ into a snake . lə·nā·ḥāš Exodus 7:16 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ Then say wə·’ā·mar·tā אֵלָ֗יו to him , ’ê·lāw יְהוָ֞ה ‘ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֤י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê הָעִבְרִים֙ of the Hebrews , hā·‘iḇ·rîm שְׁלָחַ֤נִי has sent me šə·lā·ḥa·nî אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ . . . ’ê·le·ḵā לֵאמֹ֔ר to tell you : lê·mōr עַמִּ֔י Let My people ‘am·mî שַׁלַּח֙ go , šal·laḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְיַֽעַבְדֻ֖נִי so that they may worship Me wə·ya·‘aḇ·ḏu·nî בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר in the wilderness . bam·miḏ·bār וְהִנֵּ֥ה But wə·hin·nêh לֹא־ you have not lō- שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ listened šā·ma‘·tā עַד־ until ‘aḏ- כֹּֽה׃ now . kōh Exodus 7:17 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar בְּזֹ֣את By this bə·zōṯ תֵּדַ֔ע you will know tê·ḏa‘ כִּ֖י that kî אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî יְהוָ֑ה am YHWH . Yah·weh הִנֵּ֨ה Behold , hin·nêh בַּמַּטֶּ֣ה with the staff bam·maṭ·ṭeh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- בְּיָדִ֗י in my hand bə·yā·ḏî
