וְאֵ֥ין and there are no wə·’ên בּוֹדֵ֖ד stragglers bō·w·ḏêḏ בְּמוֹעָדָֽיו׃ in its ranks . bə·mō·w·‘ā·ḏāw Isaiah 14:32 וּמַֽה־ What ū·mah- יַּעֲנֶ֖ה answer will be given ya·‘ă·neh מַלְאֲכֵי־ to the envoys mal·’ă·ḵê- ג֑וֹי of that nation ? ḡō·w כִּ֤י . . . kî יְהוָה֙ “ YHWH Yah·weh יִסַּ֣ד has founded yis·saḏ צִיּ֔וֹן Zion ṣî·yō·wn וּבָ֥הּ , ū·ḇāh עֲנִיֵּ֥י where His afflicted ‘ă·nî·yê עַמּֽוֹ׃ס people ‘am·mōw יֶחֱס֖וּ will find refuge . ” ye·ḥĕ·sū Isaiah 15:1 מַשָּׂ֖א [This is] the burden maś·śā מוֹאָ֑ב against Moab : mō·w·’āḇ כִּ֠י - kî עָ֤ר Ar ‘ār מוֹאָב֙ in Moab mō·w·’āḇ שֻׁדַּ֨ד is ruined , šud·daḏ נִדְמָ֔ה destroyed niḏ·māh כִּ֗י . . . kî בְּלֵ֞יל in a night ! bə·lêl קִיר־ Kir qîr- מוֹאָ֖ב in Moab mō·w·’āḇ שֻׁדַּ֥ד is devastated , šud·daḏ נִדְמָֽה׃ destroyed niḏ·māh בְּלֵ֛יל in a night ! bə·lêl Isaiah 15:2 וְדִיבֹ֛ן Dibon wə·ḏî·ḇōn עָלָ֨ה goes up ‘ā·lāh הַבַּ֧יִת to its temple hab·ba·yiṯ לְבֶ֑כִי to weep lə·ḇe·ḵî הַבָּמ֖וֹת at its high places . hab·bā·mō·wṯ מוֹאָ֣ב Moab mō·w·’āḇ יְיֵלִ֔יל wails yə·yê·lîl עַל־ over ‘al- נְב֞וֹ Nebo , nə·ḇōw וְעַ֤ל as well as over wə·‘al מֵֽידְבָא֙ Medeba . mê·ḏə·ḇā בְּכָל־ Every bə·ḵāl רֹאשָׁ֣יו head rō·šāw קָרְחָ֔ה is shaved , qā·rə·ḥāh כָּל־ every kāl- זָקָ֖ן beard zā·qān גְּרוּעָֽה׃ is cut off . gə·rū·‘āh Isaiah 15:3 בְּחוּצֹתָ֖יו In its streets bə·ḥū·ṣō·ṯāw חָ֣גְרוּ they wear ḥā·ḡə·rū שָׂ֑ק sackcloth ; śāq עַ֣ל on ‘al גַּגּוֹתֶ֧יהָ the rooftops gag·gō·w·ṯe·hā וּבִרְחֹבֹתֶ֛יהָ and in the public squares ū·ḇir·ḥō·ḇō·ṯe·hā כֻּלֹּ֥ה they all kul·lōh יְיֵלִ֖יל wail , yə·yê·lîl יֹרֵ֥ד falling down yō·rêḏ בַּבֶּֽכִי׃ weeping . bab·be·ḵî Isaiah 15:4 חֶשְׁבּוֹן֙ Heshbon ḥeš·bō·wn וְאֶלְעָלֵ֔ה and Elealeh wə·’el·‘ā·lêh וַתִּזְעַ֤ק cry out ; wat·tiz·‘aq קוֹלָ֑ם their voices qō·w·lām נִשְׁמַ֣ע are heard niš·ma‘ עַד־ as far as ‘aḏ- יַ֖הַץ Jahaz . ya·haṣ עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֗ן . . . kên חֲלֻצֵ֤י the soldiers ḥă·lu·ṣê מוֹאָב֙ of Moab mō·w·’āḇ יָרִ֔יעוּ cry out ; yā·rî·‘ū נַפְשׁ֖וֹ their souls nap̄·šōw יָ֥רְעָה tremble yā·rə·‘āh לּֽוֹ׃ within . lōw Isaiah 15:5 לִבִּי֙ My heart lib·bî יִזְעָ֔ק cries out yiz·‘āq לְמוֹאָ֣ב over Moab ; lə·mō·w·’āḇ בְּרִיחֶ֕הָ her fugitives bə·rî·ḥe·hā עַד־ flee as ‘aḏ- צֹ֖עַר far as Zoar , ṣō·‘ar עֶגְלַ֣ת as far as Eglath-shelishiyah ‘eḡ·laṯ שְׁלִשִׁיָּ֑ה . . . . šə·li·šî·yāh כִּ֣י׀ . . . kî בִּבְכִי֙ With weeping biḇ·ḵî יַֽעֲלֶה־ they ascend ya·‘ă·leh-
