בְּבֵיתֽוֹ׃ in his own tomb . bə·ḇê·ṯōw Isaiah 14:19 וְאַתָּ֞ה But you wə·’at·tāh הָשְׁלַ֤כְתָּ are cast out hā·šə·laḵ·tā מִֽקִּבְרְךָ֙ of your grave miq·qiḇ·rə·ḵā נִתְעָ֔ב like a rejected niṯ·‘āḇ כְּנֵ֣צֶר branch , kə·nê·ṣer לְב֥וּשׁ covered lə·ḇūš הֲרֻגִ֖ים by those slain hă·ru·ḡîm מְטֹ֣עֲנֵי . . . mə·ṭō·‘ă·nê חָ֑רֶב with the sword , ḥā·reḇ יוֹרְדֵ֥י and dumped yō·wr·ḏê אֶל־ into ’el- אַבְנֵי־ a rocky ’aḇ·nê- ב֖וֹר pit ḇō·wr כְּפֶ֥גֶר like a carcass kə·p̄e·ḡer מוּבָֽס׃ trampled underfoot . mū·ḇās Isaiah 14:20 לֹֽא־ You will not lō- תֵחַ֤ד join them ṯê·ḥaḏ אִתָּם֙ . . . ’it·tām בִּקְבוּרָ֔ה in burial , biq·ḇū·rāh כִּֽי־ since kî- שִׁחַ֖תָּ you have destroyed ši·ḥa·tā אַרְצְךָ֥ your land ’ar·ṣə·ḵā הָרָ֑גְתָּ and slaughtered hā·rā·ḡə·tā עַמְּךָ֣ your own people . ‘am·mə·ḵā זֶ֥רַע The offspring ze·ra‘ מְרֵעִֽים׃ of the wicked mə·rê·‘îm לֹֽא־ will never again lō- לְעוֹלָ֖ם . . . lə·‘ō·w·lām יִקָּרֵ֥א be mentioned . yiq·qā·rê Isaiah 14:21 הָכִ֧ינוּ Prepare hā·ḵî·nū מַטְבֵּ֖חַ a place to slaughter maṭ·bê·aḥ לְבָנָ֛יו his sons lə·ḇā·nāw בַּעֲוֺ֣ן for the iniquities ba·‘ă·wōn אֲבוֹתָ֑ם of their forefathers . ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām בַּל־ They will never bal- יָקֻ֙מוּ֙ rise up yā·qu·mū וְיָ֣רְשׁוּ to possess wə·yā·rə·šū אָ֔רֶץ a land ’ā·reṣ פְנֵֽי־ or cover p̄ə·nê- תֵבֵ֖ל the earth ṯê·ḇêl וּמָלְא֥וּ with their ū·mā·lə·’ū עָרִֽים׃ cities . ‘ā·rîm Isaiah 14:22 וְקַמְתִּ֣י “ I will rise up wə·qam·tî עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם against them , ” ‘ă·lê·hem נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֑וֹת of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ וְהִכְרַתִּ֨י “ I will cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî לְבָבֶ֜ל from Babylon lə·ḇā·ḇel שֵׁ֥ם her name šêm וּשְׁאָ֛ר and her remnant , ū·šə·’ār וְנִ֥ין her offspring wə·nîn וָנֶ֖כֶד and her posterity , ” wā·ne·ḵeḏ נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Isaiah 14:23 וְשַׂמְתִּ֛יהָ “ I will make her wə·śam·tî·hā לְמוֹרַ֥שׁ a place lə·mō·w·raš קִפֹּ֖ד for owls qip·pōḏ וְאַגְמֵי־ and for swamplands wə·’aḡ·mê- מָ֑יִם . . . ; mā·yim וְטֵֽאטֵאתִ֙יהָ֙ I will sweep her away wə·ṭê·ṭê·ṯî·hā בְּמַטְאֲטֵ֣א with the broom bə·maṭ·’ă·ṭê הַשְׁמֵ֔ד of destruction , ” haš·mêḏ נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאֽוֹת׃פ of Hosts . ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ Isaiah 14:24 יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr נִשְׁבַּ֛ע has sworn : niš·ba‘ אִם־ “ Surely ’im- לֹ֞א . . . , lō כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר as ka·’ă·šer דִּמִּ֙יתִי֙ I have planned , dim·mî·ṯî כֵּ֣ן so kên הָיָ֔תָה will it be ; hā·yā·ṯāh וְכַאֲשֶׁ֥ר as wə·ḵa·’ă·šer יָעַ֖צְתִּי I have purposed yā·‘aṣ·tî הִ֥יא . . . , hî תָקֽוּם׃ [so] will it stand . ṯā·qūm
