Isaiah 14:25 לִשְׁבֹּ֤ר I will break liš·bōr אַשּׁוּר֙ Assyria ’aš·šūr בְּאַרְצִ֔י in My land ; bə·’ar·ṣî אֲבוּסֶ֑נּוּ I will trample him ’ă·ḇū·sen·nū וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- הָרַ֖י My mountain . hā·ray עֻלּ֔וֹ His yoke ‘ul·lōw וְסָ֤ר will be taken wə·sār מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶם֙ off [My people] , mê·‘ă·lê·hem וְסֻ֨בֳּל֔וֹ and his burden wə·sub·bo·lōw יָסֽוּר׃ removed yā·sūr מֵעַ֥ל from mê·‘al שִׁכְמ֖וֹ their shoulders . ” šiḵ·mōw Isaiah 14:26 זֹ֛את This zōṯ הָעֵצָ֥ה is the plan hā·‘ê·ṣāh הַיְּעוּצָ֖ה devised hay·yə·‘ū·ṣāh עַל־ for ‘al- כָּל־ the whole kāl- הָאָ֑רֶץ earth , hā·’ā·reṣ וְזֹ֛את and this wə·zōṯ הַיָּ֥ד is the hand hay·yāḏ הַנְּטוּיָ֖ה stretched out han·nə·ṭū·yāh עַל־ over ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ the nations . hag·gō·w·yim Isaiah 14:27 כִּֽי־ - kî- יְהוָ֧ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֛וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ יָעָ֖ץ has purposed , yā·‘āṣ וּמִ֣י and who ū·mî יָפֵ֑ר can thwart Him ? yā·p̄êr וְיָד֥וֹ His hand wə·yā·ḏōw הַנְּטוּיָ֖ה is outstretched , han·nə·ṭū·yāh וּֽמִ֥י so who ū·mî יְשִׁיבֶֽנָּה׃פ can turn it back ? yə·šî·ḇen·nāh Isaiah 14:28 בִּשְׁנַת־ In the year biš·naṯ- הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ that King ham·me·leḵ אָחָ֑ז Ahaz ’ā·ḥāz מ֖וֹת died , mō·wṯ הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh הַמַּשָּׂ֥א burden ham·maś·śā הָיָ֖ה was received : hā·yāh Isaiah 14:29 אַֽל־ Do not ’al- תִּשְׂמְחִ֤י rejoice , tiś·mə·ḥî כֻּלֵּ֔ךְ all kul·lêḵ פְלֶ֙שֶׁת֙ you Philistines , p̄ə·le·šeṯ כִּ֥י that kî שֵׁ֣בֶט the rod šê·ḇeṭ מַכֵּ֑ךְ that struck you mak·kêḵ נִשְׁבַּ֖ר is broken . niš·bar כִּֽי־ For kî- צֶ֔פַע a viper ṣe·p̄a‘ יֵ֣צֵא will spring yê·ṣê מִשֹּׁ֤רֶשׁ from the root miš·šō·reš נָחָשׁ֙ of the snake , nā·ḥāš מְעוֹפֵֽף׃ and a flying mə·‘ō·w·p̄êp̄ שָׂרָ֥ף serpent śā·rāp̄ וּפִרְי֖וֹ from its egg . ū·p̄ir·yōw Isaiah 14:30 בְּכוֹרֵ֣י Then the firstborn bə·ḵō·w·rê דַלִּ֔ים of the poor ḏal·lîm וְרָעוּ֙ will find pasture , wə·rā·‘ū וְאֶבְיוֹנִ֖ים and the needy wə·’eḇ·yō·w·nîm יִרְבָּ֑צוּ will lie down yir·bā·ṣū לָבֶ֣טַח in safety , lā·ḇe·ṭaḥ וְהֵמַתִּ֤י but I will kill wə·hê·mat·tî שָׁרְשֵׁ֔ךְ your root šā·rə·šêḵ בָֽרָעָב֙ by famine , ḇā·rā·‘āḇ וּשְׁאֵרִיתֵ֖ךְ and your remnant ū·šə·’ê·rî·ṯêḵ יַהֲרֹֽג׃ will be slain . ya·hă·rōḡ Isaiah 14:31 הֵילִ֤ילִֽי Wail , hê·lî·lî שַׁ֙עַר֙ O gate ! ša·‘ar זַֽעֲקִי־ Cry out , za·‘ă·qî- עִ֔יר O city ! ‘îr נָמ֖וֹג Melt away , nā·mō·wḡ כֻּלֵּ֑ךְ all kul·lêḵ פְּלֶ֣שֶׁת you Philistines ! pə·le·šeṯ כִּ֤י For kî עָשָׁ֣ן a cloud of smoke ‘ā·šān בָּ֔א comes bā מִצָּפוֹן֙ from the north , miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn
