כִּ֥י that kî שְׁמֽוֹ׃ His name šə·mōw נִשְׂגָּ֖ב is exalted . niś·gāḇ Isaiah 12:5 זַמְּר֣וּ Sing zam·mə·rū יְהוָ֔ה to YHWH , Yah·weh כִּ֥י for kî עָשָׂ֑ה He has done ‘ā·śāh גֵא֖וּת glorious things . ḡê·’ūṯ זֹ֖את Let this zōṯ מְיֻדַּעַת be known mə·yud·da·ʿaṯ בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ Isaiah 12:6 צַהֲלִ֥י Cry out ṣa·hă·lî וָרֹ֖נִּי and sing , wā·rōn·nî יוֹשֶׁ֣בֶת O citizen yō·wō·še·ḇeṯ צִיּ֑וֹן of Zion , ṣî·yō·wn כִּֽי־ for kî- גָד֥וֹל great ḡā·ḏō·wl בְּקִרְבֵּ֖ךְ among you bə·qir·bêḵ קְד֥וֹשׁ [is] the Holy qə·ḏō·wōš יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ One of Israel . ” yiś·rā·’êl Isaiah 13:1 מַשָּׂ֖א [This is] the burden maś·śā בָּבֶ֑ל against Babylon bā·ḇel אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer יְשַׁעְיָ֖הוּ Isaiah yə·ša‘·yā·hū בֶּן־ son ben- אָמֽוֹץ׃ of Amoz ’ā·mō·wṣ חָזָ֔ה received : ḥā·zāh Isaiah 13:2 שְֽׂאוּ־ Raise śə·’ū- נֵ֔ס a banner nês עַ֤ל on ‘al נִשְׁפֶּה֙ a barren niš·peh הַר־ hilltop ; har- הָרִ֥ימוּ call hā·rî·mū ק֖וֹל aloud qō·wl לָהֶ֑ם to them . lā·hem הָנִ֣יפוּ Wave hā·nî·p̄ū יָ֔ד your hand , yāḏ וְיָבֹ֖אוּ that they may enter wə·yā·ḇō·’ū פִּתְחֵ֥י the gates piṯ·ḥê נְדִיבִֽים׃ of the nobles . nə·ḏî·ḇîm Isaiah 13:3 אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî צִוֵּ֖יתִי have commanded ṣiw·wê·ṯî לִמְקֻדָּשָׁ֑י My sanctified ones ; lim·qud·dā·šāy גַּ֣ם I have even gam קָרָ֤אתִי summoned qā·rā·ṯî גִבּוֹרַי֙ My warriors ḡib·bō·w·ray לְאַפִּ֔י to execute My wrath lə·’ap·pî עַלִּיזֵ֖י [and] exult ‘al·lî·zê גַּאֲוָתִֽי׃ in My triumph . ga·’ă·wā·ṯî Isaiah 13:4 ק֥וֹל Listen , qō·wl הָמ֛וֹן a tumult hā·mō·wn בֶּֽהָרִ֖ים on the mountains , be·hā·rîm דְּמ֣וּת like that də·mūṯ רָ֑ב of a great rāḇ עַם־ multitude ! ‘am- ק֠וֹל Listen , qō·wl שְׁא֞וֹן an uproar šə·’ō·wn מַמְלְכ֤וֹת among the kingdoms , mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ גּוֹיִם֙ like nations gō·w·yim נֶֽאֱסָפִ֔ים gathered together ! ne·’ĕ·sā·p̄îm יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ מְפַקֵּ֖ד is mobilizing mə·p̄aq·qêḏ צְבָ֥א an army ṣə·ḇā מִלְחָמָֽה׃ for war . mil·ḥā·māh Isaiah 13:5 בָּאִ֛ים They are coming bā·’îm מֶרְחָ֖ק from faraway mer·ḥāq מֵאֶ֥רֶץ lands , mê·’e·reṣ מִקְצֵ֣ה from the ends miq·ṣêh הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם of the heavens — haš·šā·mā·yim יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וּכְלֵ֣י and the weapons ū·ḵə·lê זַעְמ֔וֹ of His wrath — za‘·mōw לְחַבֵּ֖ל to destroy lə·ḥab·bêl כָּל־ the whole kāl- הָאָֽרֶץ׃ country . hā·’ā·reṣ
