לֹ֥א Is not lō שֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃ Samaria šō·mə·rō·wn כְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק like Damascus ? ḵə·ḏam·me·śeq Isaiah 10:10 כַּאֲשֶׁר֙ As ka·’ă·šer יָדִ֔י my hand yā·ḏî מָצְאָ֣ה seized mā·ṣə·’āh הָאֱלִ֑יל the idolatrous hā·’ĕ·lîl לְמַמְלְכֹ֖ת kingdoms lə·mam·lə·ḵōṯ וּפְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם whose images [surpassed] ū·p̄ə·sî·lê·hem מִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם those of Jerusalem mî·rū·šā·lim וּמִשֹּׁמְרֽוֹן׃ and Samaria , ū·miš·šō·mə·rō·wn Isaiah 10:11 כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר and as ka·’ă·šer עָשִׂ֛יתִי I have done to ‘ā·śî·ṯî לְשֹׁמְר֖וֹן Samaria lə·šō·mə·rō·wn וְלֶאֱלִילֶ֑יהָ and its idols , wə·le·’ĕ·lî·le·hā הֲלֹ֗א will I not hă·lō כֵּ֛ן also kên אֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה do ’e·‘ĕ·śeh לִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם to Jerusalem lî·rū·šā·lim וְלַעֲצַבֶּֽיהָ׃ס and her idols ? ” wə·la·‘ă·ṣab·be·hā Isaiah 10:12 וְהָיָ֗ה - wə·hā·yāh כִּֽי־ So when kî- אֲדֹנָי֙ the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְבַצַּ֤ע has completed yə·ḇaṣ·ṣa‘ כָּל־ all kāl- מַֽעֲשֵׂ֔הוּ His work ma·‘ă·śê·hū בְּהַ֥ר against Mount bə·har צִיּ֖וֹן Zion ṣî·yō·wn וּבִירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם and Jerusalem , ū·ḇî·rū·šā·lim אֶפְקֹ֗ד He will say, “I will punish ’ep̄·qōḏ מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- אַשּׁ֔וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת . . . tip̄·’e·reṯ עַל־ for ‘al- פְּרִי־ the fruit pə·rî- גֹ֙דֶל֙ of his arrogant ḡō·ḏel לְבַ֣ב heart lə·ḇaḇ ר֥וּם and the proud rūm עֵינָֽיו׃ look in his eyes . ‘ê·nāw Isaiah 10:13 כִּ֣י For kî אָמַ֗ר he says : ’ā·mar בְּכֹ֤חַ ‘ By the strength bə·ḵō·aḥ יָדִי֙ of my hand yā·ḏî עָשִׂ֔יתִי I have done [this] , ‘ā·śî·ṯî וּבְחָכְמָתִ֖י and [by my] wisdom , ū·ḇə·ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯî כִּ֣י for kî נְבֻנ֑וֹתִי I am clever . nə·ḇu·nō·w·ṯî וְאָסִ֣יר׀ I have removed wə·’ā·sîr גְּבוּלֹ֣ת the boundaries gə·ḇū·lōṯ עַמִּ֗ים of nations ‘am·mîm שׁוֹשֵׂ֔תִי and plundered šō·w·śê·ṯî וַעֲתִידֹתֵיהֶם their treasures ; wa·ʿă·ṯī·ḏō·ṯē·hɛm כַּאבִּ֖יר like a mighty one ka·bîr וְאוֹרִ֥יד I subdued wə·’ō·w·rîḏ יוֹשְׁבִֽים׃ their rulers . yō·wō·šə·ḇîm Isaiah 10:14 יָדִי֙ My hand yā·ḏî וַתִּמְצָ֨א reached wat·tim·ṣā כַקֵּ֤ן׀ as into a nest ḵaq·qên לְחֵ֣יל to seize the wealth lə·ḥêl הָֽעַמִּ֔ים of the nations . hā·‘am·mîm וְכֶאֱסֹף֙ Like one gathering wə·ḵe·’ĕ·sōp̄ עֲזֻב֔וֹת abandoned ‘ă·zu·ḇō·wṯ בֵּיצִ֣ים eggs , bê·ṣîm אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî אָסָ֑פְתִּי gathered ’ā·sā·p̄ə·tî כָּל־ all kāl- הָאָ֖רֶץ the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ וְלֹ֤א No wə·lō הָיָה֙ . . . hā·yāh כָּנָ֔ף wing kā·nāp̄ נֹדֵ֣ד fluttered , nō·ḏêḏ פֶ֖ה no beak p̄eh וּפֹצֶ֥ה opened ū·p̄ō·ṣeh וּמְצַפְצֵֽף׃ or chirped . ’” ū·mə·ṣap̄·ṣêp̄ Isaiah 10:15 הַגַּרְזֶ֔ן Does an axe hag·gar·zen הֲיִתְפָּאֵר֙ raise itself hă·yiṯ·pā·’êr עַ֖ל above ‘al הַחֹצֵ֣ב the one who swings ha·ḥō·ṣêḇ בּ֑וֹ it ? bōw אִם־ Does ’im-
