בַּטּֽוֹב׃ good , baṭ·ṭō·wḇ יֹאכֵ֑ל He will be eating yō·ḵêl חֶמְאָ֥ה curds ḥem·’āh וּדְבַ֖שׁ and honey . ū·ḏə·ḇaš Isaiah 7:16 כִּ֠י For kî בְּטֶ֨רֶם before bə·ṭe·rem הַנַּ֛עַר the boy han·na·‘ar יֵדַ֥ע knows [enough] yê·ḏa‘ מָאֹ֥ס to reject mā·’ōs בָּרָ֖ע evil bā·rā‘ וּבָחֹ֣ר and choose ū·ḇā·ḥōr בַּטּ֑וֹב good , baṭ·ṭō·wḇ הָאֲדָמָה֙ the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer שְׁנֵ֥י of the two šə·nê מְלָכֶֽיהָ׃ kings mə·lā·ḵe·hā אַתָּ֣ה you ’at·tāh קָ֔ץ dread qāṣ מִפְּנֵ֖י . . . mip·pə·nê תֵּעָזֵ֤ב will be laid waste . tê·‘ā·zêḇ Isaiah 7:17 יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh יָבִ֨יא will bring yā·ḇî עָלֶ֗יךָ on you ‘ā·le·ḵā וְעַֽל־ and on wə·‘al- עַמְּךָ֮ your people ‘am·mə·ḵā וְעַל־ and on wə·‘al- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ אָבִיךָ֒ of your father ’ā·ḇî·ḵā יָמִים֙ a time yā·mîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer לֹא־ unlike lō- בָ֔אוּ . . . ḇā·’ū לְמִיּ֥וֹם [any since] the day lə·mî·yō·wm אֶפְרַ֖יִם Ephraim ’ep̄·ra·yim מֵעַ֣ל . . . mê·‘al סוּר־ separated sūr- יְהוּדָ֑ה from Judah — yə·hū·ḏāh אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ מֶ֥לֶךְ [He will bring] the king me·leḵ אַשּֽׁוּר׃פ of Assyria . ” ’aš·šūr Isaiah 7:18 וְהָיָ֣ה׀ - wə·hā·yāh הַה֗וּא On that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh יִשְׁרֹ֤ק will whistle yiš·rōq לַזְּב֔וּב to the flies laz·zə·ḇūḇ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer בִּקְצֵ֖ה at the farthest biq·ṣêh יְאֹרֵ֣י streams yə·’ō·rê מִצְרָ֑יִם of the Nile miṣ·rā·yim וְלַ֨דְּבוֹרָ֔ה and to the bees wə·lad·də·ḇō·w·rāh אֲשֶׁ֖ר - ’ă·šer בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ of Assyria . ’aš·šūr Isaiah 7:19 כֻלָּם֙ And they will all ḵul·lām וּבָ֨אוּ come ū·ḇā·’ū וְנָח֤וּ and settle wə·nā·ḥū הַבַּתּ֔וֹת in the steep hab·bat·tō·wṯ בְּנַחֲלֵ֣י ravines bə·na·ḥă·lê וּבִנְקִיקֵ֖י and clefts ū·ḇin·qî·qê הַסְּלָעִ֑ים of the rocks , has·sə·lā·‘îm וּבְכֹל֙ in all ū·ḇə·ḵōl הַנַּהֲלֹלִֽים׃ the thornbushes han·na·hă·lō·lîm וּבְכֹ֖ל and ū·ḇə·ḵōl הַנַּ֣עֲצוּצִ֔ים watering holes . han·na·‘ă·ṣū·ṣîm Isaiah 7:20 הַה֡וּא On that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm אֲדֹנָי֩ the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy בְּתַ֨עַר will use a razor bə·ṯa·‘ar הַשְּׂכִירָ֜ה hired haś·śə·ḵî·rāh בְּעֶבְרֵ֤י from beyond bə·‘eḇ·rê נָהָר֙ the Euphrates — nā·hār בְּמֶ֣לֶךְ the king bə·me·leḵ אַשּׁ֔וּר of Assyria — ’aš·šūr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְגַלַּ֣ח to shave yə·ḡal·laḥ הָרֹ֖אשׁ your head hā·rōš וְשַׂ֣עַר and the hair wə·śa·‘ar הָרַגְלָ֑יִם of your legs , hā·raḡ·lā·yim תִּסְפֶּֽה׃ס and to remove tis·peh הַזָּקָ֖ן your beard haz·zā·qān וְגַ֥ם as well . wə·ḡam אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
