Isaiah 6:5 וָאֹמַ֞ר Then I said : wā·’ō·mar אֽוֹי־ “ Woe ’ō·w- לִ֣י is me , lî כִֽי־ for ḵî- נִדְמֵ֗יתִי I am ruined , niḏ·mê·ṯî כִּ֣י because kî אָנֹ֔כִי I ’ā·nō·ḵî אִ֤ישׁ am a man ’îš טְמֵֽא־ of unclean ṭə·mê- שְׂפָתַ֙יִם֙ lips śə·p̄ā·ṯa·yim יוֹשֵׁ֑ב dwelling yō·wō·šêḇ וּבְתוֹךְ֙ among ū·ḇə·ṯō·wḵ עַם־ a people ‘am- טְמֵ֣א of unclean ṭə·mê שְׂפָתַ֔יִם lips śə·p̄ā·ṯa·yim אָנֹכִ֖י . . . ; ’ā·nō·ḵî כִּ֗י for kî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֵינָֽי׃ my eyes ‘ê·nāy רָא֥וּ have seen rā·’ū הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ the King , ham·me·leḵ יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts . ” ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ Isaiah 6:6 אֶחָד֙ Then one ’e·ḥāḏ מִן־ of min- הַשְּׂרָפִ֔ים the seraphim haś·śə·rā·p̄îm וַיָּ֣עָף flew way·yā·‘āp̄ אֵלַ֗י to me , ’ê·lay וּבְיָד֖וֹ and in his hand ū·ḇə·yā·ḏōw רִצְפָּ֑ה was a glowing coal riṣ·pāh לָקַ֖ח that he had taken lā·qaḥ בְּמֶ֨לְקַחַ֔יִם with tongs bə·mel·qa·ḥa·yim מֵעַ֥ל from mê·‘al הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ the altar . ham·miz·bê·aḥ Isaiah 6:7 וַיַּגַּ֣ע And with it he touched way·yag·ga‘ עַל־ . . . ‘al- פִּ֔י my mouth pî וַיֹּ֕אמֶר and said : way·yō·mer הִנֵּ֛ה “ Now that hin·nêh זֶ֖ה this zeh עַל־ . . . ‘al- נָגַ֥ע has touched nā·ḡa‘ שְׂפָתֶ֑יךָ your lips , śə·p̄ā·ṯe·ḵā עֲוֺנֶ֔ךָ your iniquity ‘ă·wō·ne·ḵā וְסָ֣ר is removed wə·sār וְחַטָּאתְךָ֖ and your sin wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯə·ḵā תְּכֻפָּֽר׃ is atoned for . ” tə·ḵup·pār Isaiah 6:8 וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע Then I heard wā·’eš·ma‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- ק֤וֹל the voice qō·wl אֲדֹנָי֙ of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy אֹמֵ֔ר saying ’ō·mêr אֶת־ - : ’eṯ- מִ֥י “ Whom mî אֶשְׁלַ֖ח shall I send ? ’eš·laḥ וּמִ֣י Who ū·mî יֵֽלֶךְ־ will go yê·leḵ- לָ֑נוּ for Us ? ” lā·nū וָאֹמַ֖ר And I said : wā·’ō·mar הִנְנִ֥י “ Here am I . hin·nî שְׁלָחֵֽנִי׃ Send me ! ” šə·lā·ḥê·nî Isaiah 6:9 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר And He replied : way·yō·mer לֵ֥ךְ “ Go lêḵ וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ and tell wə·’ā·mar·tā הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh לָעָ֣ם people , lā·‘ām שִׁמְע֤וּ ‘ Be ever hearing šim·‘ū שָׁמ֙וֹעַ֙ . . . , šā·mō·w·a‘ וְאַל־ but never wə·’al- תָּבִ֔ינוּ understanding ; tā·ḇî·nū וּרְא֥וּ be ever seeing ū·rə·’ū רָא֖וֹ . . . , rā·’ōw וְאַל־ but never wə·’al- תֵּדָֽעוּ׃ perceiving . ’ tê·ḏā·‘ū Isaiah 6:10 לֵב־ {Make} the hearts lêḇ- הַזֶּ֔ה of this haz·zeh הָעָ֣ם people hā·‘ām הַשְׁמֵן֙ calloused ; haš·mên הַכְבֵּ֖ד deafen haḵ·bêḏ וְאָזְנָ֥יו their ears wə·’ā·zə·nāw הָשַׁ֑ע and close hā·ša‘ וְעֵינָ֣יו their eyes . wə·‘ê·nāw פֶּן־ Otherwise pen- יִרְאֶ֨ה they might see yir·’eh
