Isaiah 5:16 יְהוָ֥ה But YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ וַיִּגְבַּ֛ה will be exalted way·yiḡ·bah בַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט by His justice , bam·miš·pāṭ הַקָּד֔וֹשׁ and the holy haq·qā·ḏō·wōš וְהָאֵל֙ God wə·hā·’êl נִקְדָּ֖שׁ will show Himself holy niq·dāš בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ in righteousness . biṣ·ḏā·qāh Isaiah 5:17 כְבָשִׂ֖ים Lambs ḵə·ḇā·śîm וְרָע֥וּ will graze wə·rā·‘ū כְּדָבְרָ֑ם as in their own pastures , kə·ḏā·ḇə·rām גָּרִ֥ים and strangers gā·rîm יֹאכֵֽלוּ׃ will feed yō·ḵê·lū וְחָרְב֥וֹת in the ruins wə·ḥā·rə·ḇō·wṯ מֵחִ֖ים of the wealthy . mê·ḥîm Isaiah 5:18 ה֛וֹי Woe hō·w מֹשְׁכֵ֥י to those who draw mō·šə·ḵê הֶֽעָוֺ֖ן iniquity he·‘ā·wōn בְּחַבְלֵ֣י with cords bə·ḥaḇ·lê הַשָּׁ֑וְא of deceit haš·šāw חַטָּאָֽה׃ and pull sin along ḥaṭ·ṭā·’āh הָעֲגָלָ֖ה with cart hā·‘ă·ḡā·lāh וְכַעֲב֥וֹת ropes , wə·ḵa·‘ă·ḇō·wṯ Isaiah 5:19 הָאֹמְרִ֗ים to those who say , hā·’ō·mə·rîm יְמַהֵ֧ר׀ “ Let Him hurry yə·ma·hêr מַעֲשֵׂ֖הוּ and hasten His work ma·‘ă·śê·hū יָחִ֛ישָׁה . . . yā·ḥî·šāh לְמַ֣עַן so that lə·ma·‘an נִרְאֶ֑ה we may see it ! nir·’eh וְתִקְרַ֣ב . . . wə·ṯiq·raḇ עֲצַ֛ת Let the plan ‘ă·ṣaṯ קְד֥וֹשׁ of the Holy qə·ḏō·wōš יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל One of Israel yiś·rā·’êl וְתָב֗וֹאָה come wə·ṯā·ḇō·w·’āh וְנֵדָֽעָה׃ס so that we may know it ! ” wə·nê·ḏā·‘āh Isaiah 5:20 ה֣וֹי Woe hō·w הָאֹמְרִ֥ים to those who call hā·’ō·mə·rîm לָרַ֛ע evil lā·ra‘ ט֖וֹב good ṭō·wḇ וְלַטּ֣וֹב and good wə·laṭ·ṭō·wḇ רָ֑ע evil , rā‘ שָׂמִ֨ים who turn śā·mîm חֹ֤שֶׁךְ darkness ḥō·šeḵ לְאוֹר֙ to light lə·’ō·wr וְא֣וֹר and light wə·’ō·wr לְחֹ֔שֶׁךְ to darkness , lə·ḥō·šeḵ שָׂמִ֥ים who replace śā·mîm מַ֛ר bitter mar לְמָת֖וֹק with sweet lə·mā·ṯō·wq וּמָת֥וֹק and sweet ū·mā·ṯō·wq לְמָֽר׃ס with bitter . lə·mār Isaiah 5:21 ה֖וֹי Woe hō·w חֲכָמִ֣ים to those who are wise ḥă·ḵā·mîm בְּעֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם in their own eyes bə·‘ê·nê·hem נְבֹנִֽים׃ and clever nə·ḇō·nîm וְנֶ֥גֶד in wə·ne·ḡeḏ פְּנֵיהֶ֖ם their own sight . pə·nê·hem Isaiah 5:22 ה֕וֹי Woe hō·w גִּבּוֹרִ֖ים to those who are heroes gib·bō·w·rîm לִשְׁתּ֣וֹת in drinking liš·tō·wṯ יָ֑יִן wine yā·yin וְאַנְשֵׁי־ and champions wə·’an·šê- חַ֖יִל . . . ḥa·yil לִמְסֹ֥ךְ in mixing lim·sōḵ שֵׁכָֽר׃ strong drink , šê·ḵār Isaiah 5:23 מַצְדִּיקֵ֥י who acquit maṣ·dî·qê רָשָׁ֖ע the guilty rā·šā‘ עֵ֣קֶב for ‘ê·qeḇ שֹׁ֑חַד a bribe šō·ḥaḏ יָסִ֥ירוּ and deprive yā·sî·rū צַדִּיקִ֖ים the innocent ṣad·dî·qîm מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ס . . . mim·men·nū וְצִדְקַ֥ת of justice . wə·ṣiḏ·qaṯ Isaiah 5:24 לָכֵן֩ Therefore , lā·ḵên לְשׁ֣וֹן as a tongue lə·šō·wn אֵ֗שׁ of fire ’êš
