וְלִבִּ֣י but my heart wə·lib·bî עֵ֑ר is awake . ‘êr ק֣וֹל׀ A sound ! qō·wl דּוֹדִ֣י My beloved dō·w·ḏî דוֹפֵ֗ק is knocking : ḏō·w·p̄êq פִּתְחִי־ “ Open piṯ·ḥî- לִ֞י to me , lî אֲחֹתִ֤י my sister , ’ă·ḥō·ṯî רַעְיָתִי֙ my darling , ra‘·yā·ṯî יוֹנָתִ֣י my dove , yō·w·nā·ṯî תַמָּתִ֔י my flawless one . ṯam·mā·ṯî שֶׁרֹּאשִׁי֙ My head šer·rō·šî נִמְלָא־ is drenched nim·lā- טָ֔ל with dew , ṭāl קְוֻּצּוֹתַ֖י my hair qəw·wuṣ·ṣō·ṯay רְסִ֥יסֵי with the dampness rə·sî·sê לָֽיְלָה׃ of the night . ” lā·yə·lāh Song of Solomon 5:3 פָּשַׁ֙טְתִּי֙ I have taken off pā·šaṭ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כֻּתָּנְתִּ֔י my robe — kut·tā·nə·tî אֵיכָ֖כָה must I ’ê·ḵā·ḵāh אֶלְבָּשֶׁ֑נָּה put it back on ? ’el·bā·šen·nāh רָחַ֥צְתִּי I have washed rā·ḥaṣ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רַגְלַ֖י my feet — raḡ·lay אֵיכָ֥כָה must I ’ê·ḵā·ḵāh אֲטַנְּפֵֽם׃ soil them again ? ’ă·ṭan·nə·p̄êm Song of Solomon 5:4 דּוֹדִ֗י My beloved dō·w·ḏî שָׁלַ֤ח put šā·laḥ יָדוֹ֙ his hand yā·ḏōw מִן־ to min- הַחֹ֔ר the latch ; ha·ḥōr וּמֵעַ֖י my heart ū·mê·‘ay הָמ֥וּ pounded hā·mū עָלָֽיו׃ for him . ‘ā·lāw Song of Solomon 5:5 אֲנִ֖י I ’ă·nî קַ֥מְתִּֽי rose up qam·tî לִפְתֹּ֣חַ to open lip̄·tō·aḥ לְדוֹדִ֑י for my beloved . lə·ḏō·w·ḏî וְיָדַ֣י My hands wə·yā·ḏay נָֽטְפוּ־ dripped nā·ṭə·p̄ū- מ֗וֹר with myrrh , mō·wr וְאֶצְבְּעֹתַי֙ my fingers wə·’eṣ·bə·‘ō·ṯay עֹבֵ֔ר with flowing ‘ō·ḇêr מ֣וֹר myrrh mō·wr עַ֖ל on ‘al כַּפּ֥וֹת the handles kap·pō·wṯ הַמַּנְעֽוּל׃ of the bolt . ham·man·‘ūl Song of Solomon 5:6 אֲנִי֙ I ’ă·nî פָּתַ֤חְתִּֽי opened pā·ṯaḥ·tî לְדוֹדִ֔י for my beloved , lə·ḏō·w·ḏî וְדוֹדִ֖י but [he] wə·ḏō·w·ḏî חָמַ֣ק had turned ḥā·maq עָבָ֑ר and gone . ‘ā·ḇār נַפְשִׁי֙ My heart nap̄·šî יָֽצְאָ֣ה sank yā·ṣə·’āh בְדַבְּר֔וֹ at his departure . ḇə·ḏab·bə·rōw בִּקַּשְׁתִּ֙יהוּ֙ I sought him , biq·qaš·tî·hū וְלֹ֣א but did not wə·lō מְצָאתִ֔יהוּ find him . mə·ṣā·ṯî·hū קְרָאתִ֖יו I called , qə·rā·ṯîw וְלֹ֥א but he did not wə·lō עָנָֽנִי׃ answer . ‘ā·nā·nî Song of Solomon 5:7 מְצָאֻ֧נִי I encountered mə·ṣā·’u·nî הַשֹּׁמְרִ֛ים the watchmen haš·šō·mə·rîm הַסֹּבְבִ֥ים on their rounds has·sō·ḇə·ḇîm בָּעִ֖יר of the city . bā·‘îr הִכּ֣וּנִי They beat me hik·kū·nî פְצָע֑וּנִי and bruised me ; p̄ə·ṣā·‘ū·nî נָשְׂא֤וּ they took away nā·śə·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- רְדִידִי֙ my cloak rə·ḏî·ḏî מֵֽעָלַ֔י . . . , mê·‘ā·lay שֹׁמְרֵ֖י those guardians šō·mə·rê הַחֹמֽוֹת׃ of the walls . ha·ḥō·mō·wṯ Song of Solomon 5:8 בְּנ֣וֹת O daughters bə·nō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם of Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim הִשְׁבַּ֥עְתִּי I adjure hiš·ba‘·tî אֶתְכֶ֖ם you , ’eṯ·ḵem אִֽם־ if ’im- תִּמְצְאוּ֙ you find tim·ṣə·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
