לִתְפּ֔וֹר to mend , liṯ·pō·wr עֵ֥ת a time ‘êṯ לַחֲשׁ֖וֹת to be silent la·ḥă·šō·wṯ וְעֵ֥ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לְדַבֵּֽר׃ to speak , lə·ḏab·bêr Ecclesiastes 3:8 עֵ֤ת a time ‘êṯ לֶֽאֱהֹב֙ to love le·’ĕ·hōḇ וְעֵ֣ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לִשְׂנֹ֔א to hate , liś·nō עֵ֥ת a time ‘êṯ מִלְחָמָ֖ה for war mil·ḥā·māh וְעֵ֥ת and a time wə·‘êṯ שָׁלֽוֹם׃ס for peace . šā·lō·wm Ecclesiastes 3:9 מַה־ What mah- הָֽעוֹשֶׂ֔ה does the worker hā·‘ō·w·śeh בַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר - ba·’ă·šer יִּתְרוֹן֙ gain yiṯ·rō·wn ה֥וּא from his hū עָמֵֽל׃ toil ? ‘ā·mêl Ecclesiastes 3:10 רָאִ֣יתִי I have seen rā·’î·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָֽעִנְיָ֗ן the burden hā·‘in·yān אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer אֱלֹהִ֛ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm נָתַ֧ן has laid nā·ṯan לִבְנֵ֥י upon the sons liḇ·nê הָאָדָ֖ם of men hā·’ā·ḏām לַעֲנ֥וֹת to occupy la·‘ă·nō·wṯ בּֽוֹ׃ them . bōw Ecclesiastes 3:11 אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עָשָׂ֖ה He has made ‘ā·śāh הַכֹּ֥ל everything hak·kōl יָפֶ֣ה beautiful yā·p̄eh בְעִתּ֑וֹ in its time . ḇə·‘it·tōw גַּ֤ם He has also gam אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נָתַ֣ן set nā·ṯan הָעֹלָם֙ eternity hā·‘ō·lām בְּלִבָּ֔ם in the hearts [of men] , bə·lib·bām מִבְּלִ֞י yet mib·bə·lî אֲשֶׁ֧ר - ’ă·šer הָאָדָ֗ם [they] hā·’ā·ḏām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לֹא־ cannot lō- יִמְצָ֣א fathom yim·ṣā הַֽמַּעֲשֶׂ֛ה the work ham·ma·‘ă·śeh אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm עָשָׂ֥ה has done ‘ā·śāh מֵרֹ֥אשׁ from beginning mê·rōš וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- סֽוֹף׃ end . sō·wp̄ Ecclesiastes 3:12 יָדַ֕עְתִּי I know yā·ḏa‘·tî כִּ֛י that kî אֵ֥ין there is nothing ’ên ט֖וֹב better ṭō·wḇ בָּ֑ם for them bām כִּ֣י than kî אִם־ . . . ’im- לִשְׂמ֔וֹחַ to rejoice liś·mō·w·aḥ וְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת and do wə·la·‘ă·śō·wṯ ט֖וֹב good ṭō·wḇ בְּחַיָּֽיו׃ while they live , bə·ḥay·yāw Ecclesiastes 3:13 וְגַ֤ם and also wə·ḡam כָּל־ that every kāl- הָאָדָם֙ man hā·’ā·ḏām שֶׁיֹּאכַ֣ל should eat še·yō·ḵal וְשָׁתָ֔ה and drink wə·šā·ṯāh וְרָאָ֥ה and find wə·rā·’āh ט֖וֹב satisfaction ṭō·wḇ בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl עֲמָל֑וֹ his labor — ‘ă·mā·lōw הִֽיא׃ this is hî מַתַּ֥ת the gift mat·taṯ אֱלֹהִ֖ים of God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm Ecclesiastes 3:14 יָדַ֗עְתִּי I know yā·ḏa‘·tî כִּ֠י that kî כָּל־ everything kāl- אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer
