Ecclesiastes 2:26 כִּ֤י To kî לְאָדָם֙ the man lə·’ā·ḏām שֶׁטּ֣וֹב who is pleasing šeṭ·ṭō·wḇ לְפָנָ֔יו in His sight , lə·p̄ā·nāw נָתַ֛ן He gives nā·ṯan חָכְמָ֥ה wisdom ḥāḵ·māh וְדַ֖עַת and knowledge wə·ḏa·‘aṯ וְשִׂמְחָ֑ה and joy , wə·śim·ḥāh וְלַחוֹטֶא֩ but to the sinner wə·la·ḥō·w·ṭe נָתַ֨ן He assigns nā·ṯan עִנְיָ֜ן the task ‘in·yān לֶאֱס֣וֹף of gathering le·’ĕ·sō·wp̄ וְלִכְנ֗וֹס and accumulating [that which] wə·liḵ·nō·ws לָתֵת֙ he will hand over lā·ṯêṯ לְטוֹב֙ to one who pleases lə·ṭō·wḇ לִפְנֵ֣י . . . lip̄·nê הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm זֶ֥ה This zeh גַּם־ too gam- הֶ֖בֶל is futile he·ḇel וּרְע֥וּת and a pursuit ū·rə·‘ūṯ רֽוּחַ׃ of the wind . rū·aḥ Ecclesiastes 3:1 לַכֹּ֖ל To everything lak·kōl זְמָ֑ן there is a season , zə·mān וְעֵ֥ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לְכָל־ for every lə·ḵāl חֵ֖פֶץ purpose ḥê·p̄eṣ תַּ֥חַת under ta·ḥaṯ הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ס heaven : haš·šā·mā·yim Ecclesiastes 3:2 עֵ֥ת a time ‘êṯ לָלֶ֖דֶת to be born lā·le·ḏeṯ וְעֵ֣ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לָמ֑וּת to die , lā·mūṯ עֵ֣ת a time ‘êṯ לָטַ֔עַת to plant lā·ṭa·‘aṯ וְעֵ֖ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לַעֲק֥וֹר to uproot la·‘ă·qō·wr נָטֽוּעַ׃ . . . , nā·ṭū·a‘ Ecclesiastes 3:3 עֵ֤ת a time ‘êṯ לַהֲרוֹג֙ to kill la·hă·rō·wḡ וְעֵ֣ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לִרְפּ֔וֹא to heal , lir·pō·w עֵ֥ת a time ‘êṯ לִפְר֖וֹץ to break down lip̄·rō·wṣ וְעֵ֥ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לִבְנֽוֹת׃ to build , liḇ·nō·wṯ Ecclesiastes 3:4 עֵ֤ת a time ‘êṯ לִבְכּוֹת֙ to weep liḇ·kō·wṯ וְעֵ֣ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לִשְׂח֔וֹק to laugh , liś·ḥō·wq עֵ֥ת a time ‘êṯ סְפ֖וֹד to mourn sə·p̄ō·wḏ וְעֵ֥ת and a time wə·‘êṯ רְקֽוֹד׃ to dance , rə·qō·wḏ Ecclesiastes 3:5 עֵ֚ת a time ‘êṯ לְהַשְׁלִ֣יךְ to cast away lə·haš·lîḵ אֲבָנִ֔ים stones ’ă·ḇā·nîm וְעֵ֖ת and a time wə·‘êṯ כְּנ֣וֹס to gather kə·nō·ws אֲבָנִ֑ים stones [together] , ’ă·ḇā·nîm עֵ֣ת a time ‘êṯ לַחֲב֔וֹק to embrace la·ḥă·ḇō·wq וְעֵ֖ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לִרְחֹ֥ק to refrain lir·ḥōq מֵחַבֵּֽק׃ from embracing , mê·ḥab·bêq Ecclesiastes 3:6 עֵ֤ת a time ‘êṯ לְבַקֵּשׁ֙ to search lə·ḇaq·qêš וְעֵ֣ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לְאַבֵּ֔ד to count as lost , lə·’ab·bêḏ עֵ֥ת a time ‘êṯ לִשְׁמ֖וֹר to keep liš·mō·wr וְעֵ֥ת and a time wə·‘êṯ לְהַשְׁלִֽיךְ׃ to discard , lə·haš·lîḵ Ecclesiastes 3:7 עֵ֤ת a time ‘êṯ לִקְר֙וֹעַ֙ to tear liq·rō·w·a‘ וְעֵ֣ת and a time wə·‘êṯ
