אֲדֹנָ֗י “ Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy לָמָ֤ה why lā·māh הֲרֵעֹ֙תָה֙ have You brought trouble hă·rê·‘ō·ṯāh הַזֶּ֔ה upon this haz·zeh לָעָ֣ם people ? lā·‘ām זֶּ֖ה Is this zeh לָ֥מָּה why lām·māh שְׁלַחְתָּֽנִי׃ You sent me ? šə·laḥ·tā·nî Exodus 5:23 וּמֵאָ֞ז Ever since ū·mê·’āz בָּ֤אתִי I went bā·ṯî אֶל־ to ’el- פַּרְעֹה֙ Pharaoh par·‘ōh לְדַבֵּ֣ר to speak lə·ḏab·bêr בִּשְׁמֶ֔ךָ in Your name , biš·me·ḵā הֵרַ֖ע he has brought trouble hê·ra‘ הַזֶּ֑ה on this haz·zeh לָעָ֣ם people , lā·‘ām לֹא־ and You have not lō- וְהַצֵּ֥ל delivered wə·haṣ·ṣêl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַמֶּֽךָ׃ Your people ‘am·me·ḵā הִצַּ֖לְתָּ in any way . ” hiṣ·ṣal·tā Exodus 6:1 יְהוָה֙ But YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh עַתָּ֣ה “ Now ‘at·tāh תִרְאֶ֔ה you will see ṯir·’eh אֲשֶׁ֥ר what ’ă·šer אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה I will do ’e·‘ĕ·śeh לְפַרְעֹ֑ה to Pharaoh , lə·p̄ar·‘ōh כִּ֣י for kî חֲזָקָה֙ because of My mighty ḥă·zā·qāh בְיָ֤ד hand ḇə·yāḏ יְשַׁלְּחֵ֔ם he will let [the people] go ; yə·šal·lə·ḥêm חֲזָקָ֔ה because of My strong ḥă·zā·qāh וּבְיָ֣ד hand ū·ḇə·yāḏ יְגָרְשֵׁ֖ם he will drive them out of yə·ḡā·rə·šêm מֵאַרְצֽוֹ׃ס his land . ” mê·’ar·ṣōw Exodus 6:2 אֱלֹהִ֖ים God also ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר told way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ . . . ’el- מֹשֶׁ֑ה Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֥אמֶר - way·yō·mer אֵלָ֖יו - , ’ê·lāw אֲנִ֥י “ I ’ă·nî יְהוָֽה׃ am YHWH . Yah·weh Exodus 6:3 וָאֵרָ֗א I appeared wā·’ê·rā אֶל־ to ’el- אַבְרָהָ֛ם Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām אֶל־ to ’el- יִצְחָ֥ק Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq וְאֶֽל־ and to wə·’el- יַעֲקֹ֖ב Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ בְּאֵ֣ל as God bə·’êl שַׁדָּ֑י Almighty , šad·dāy וּשְׁמִ֣י but [by] My name ū·šə·mî יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֥א I did not lō נוֹדַ֖עְתִּי make Myself known nō·w·ḏa‘·tî לָהֶֽם׃ to them . lā·hem Exodus 6:4 וְגַ֨ם I also wə·ḡam הֲקִמֹ֤תִי established hă·qi·mō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּרִיתִי֙ My covenant bə·rî·ṯî אִתָּ֔ם with them ’it·tām לָתֵ֥ת to give lā·ṯêṯ לָהֶ֖ם them lā·hem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ כְּנָ֑עַן of Canaan , kə·nā·‘an אֵ֛ת - ’êṯ אֶ֥רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ מְגֻרֵיהֶ֖ם . . . mə·ḡu·rê·hem אֲשֶׁר־ where ’ă·šer- גָּ֥רוּ they lived as foreigners gā·rū בָֽהּ׃ . ḇāh Exodus 6:5 וְגַ֣ם׀ Furthermore , wə·ḡam אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי have heard šā·ma‘·tî אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- נַאֲקַת֙ the groaning na·’ă·qaṯ
