וְאֵ֣ין he will not wə·’ên מַעֲנֶֽה׃ respond . ma·‘ă·neh Proverbs 29:20 חָזִ֗יתָ Do you see ḥā·zî·ṯā אִ֭ישׁ a man ’îš בִּדְבָרָ֑יו who speaks biḏ·ḇā·rāw אָ֣ץ in haste ? ’āṣ תִּקְוָ֖ה There is more hope tiq·wāh לִכְסִ֣יל for a fool liḵ·sîl מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ than for him . mim·men·nū Proverbs 29:21 עַבְדּ֑וֹ A servant ‘aḇ·dōw מְפַנֵּ֣ק pampered mə·p̄an·nêq מִנֹּ֣עַר from his youth min·nō·‘ar יִהְיֶ֥ה will bring yih·yeh מָנֽוֹן׃ grief mā·nō·wn וְ֝אַחֲרִית֗וֹ in the end . wə·’a·ḥă·rî·ṯōw Proverbs 29:22 אַ֭ף An angry ’ap̄ אִֽישׁ־ man ’îš- יְגָרֶ֣ה stirs up yə·ḡā·reh מָד֑וֹן dissension , mā·ḏō·wn חֵמָ֣ה and a hot-tempered ḥê·māh וּבַ֖עַל man ū·ḇa·‘al רַב־ abounds raḇ- פָּֽשַׁע׃ in transgression . pā·ša‘ Proverbs 29:23 אָ֭דָם A man’s ’ā·ḏām גַּאֲוַ֣ת pride ga·’ă·waṯ תַּשְׁפִּילֶ֑נּוּ will bring him low , taš·pî·len·nū וּשְׁפַל־ but a humble ū·šə·p̄al- ר֝֗וּחַ spirit rū·aḥ יִתְמֹ֥ךְ will obtain yiṯ·mōḵ כָּבֽוֹד׃ honor . kā·ḇō·wḏ Proverbs 29:24 חוֹלֵ֣ק A partner ḥō·w·lêq עִם־ to ‘im- גַּ֭נָּב a thief gan·nāḇ שׂוֹנֵ֣א hates śō·w·nê נַפְשׁ֑וֹ his own soul ; nap̄·šōw יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע he receives yiš·ma‘ אָלָ֥ה the oath , ’ā·lāh וְלֹ֣א but does not wə·lō יַגִּֽיד׃ testify . yag·gîḏ Proverbs 29:25 חֶרְדַּ֣ת The fear ḥer·daṯ אָ֭דָם of man ’ā·ḏām יִתֵּ֣ן is yit·tên מוֹקֵ֑שׁ a snare , mō·w·qêš וּבוֹטֵ֖חַ but whoever trusts ū·ḇō·w·ṭê·aḥ בַּיהוָ֣ה in YHWH Yah·weh יְשֻׂגָּֽב׃ is set securely on high . yə·śug·gāḇ Proverbs 29:26 רַ֭בִּים Many rab·bîm מְבַקְשִׁ֣ים seek mə·ḇaq·šîm מוֹשֵׁ֑ל the ruler’s mō·wō·šêl פְּנֵי־ favor , pə·nê- אִֽישׁ׃ but a man ’îš מִשְׁפַּט־ receives justice miš·paṭ- וּ֝מֵיְהוָ֗ה from YHWH . Yah·weh Proverbs 29:27 עָ֑וֶל An unjust ‘ā·wel אִ֣ישׁ man ’îš תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת is detestable tō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ צַ֭דִּיקִים to the righteous , ṣad·dî·qîm דָּֽרֶךְ׃פ and one whose way dā·reḵ יְשַׁר־ is upright yə·šar- וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת is detestable wə·ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ רָשָׁ֣ע to the wicked . rā·šā‘ Proverbs 30:1 דִּבְרֵ֤י׀ [These are] the words diḇ·rê אָג֥וּר of Agur ’ā·ḡūr בִּן־ son bin- יָקֶ֗ה of Jakeh — yā·qeh הַמַּ֫שָּׂ֥א the burden ham·maś·śā הַ֭גֶּבֶר that this man hag·ge·ḇer נְאֻ֣ם declared nə·’um לְאִֽיתִיאֵ֑ל to Ithiel : lə·’î·ṯî·’êl לְאִ֖יתִיאֵ֣ל “ I am weary, O God, lə·’î·ṯî·’êl וְאֻכָֽל׃ and worn out . wə·’u·ḵāl
