Proverbs 29:10 אַנְשֵׁ֣י Men ’an·šê דָ֭מִים of bloodshed ḏā·mîm יִשְׂנְאוּ־ hate yiś·nə·’ū- תָ֑ם a blameless man , ṯām וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים but the upright wî·šā·rîm יְבַקְשׁ֥וּ care for yə·ḇaq·šū נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ his life . nap̄·šōw Proverbs 29:11 כְסִ֑יל A fool ḵə·sîl יוֹצִ֣יא vents yō·w·ṣî כָּל־ all kāl- ר֭וּחוֹ his anger , rū·ḥōw וְ֝חָכָ֗ם but a wise man wə·ḥā·ḵām יְשַׁבְּחֶֽנָּה׃ holds yə·šab·bə·ḥen·nāh בְּאָח֥וֹר it back . bə·’ā·ḥō·wr Proverbs 29:12 מֹ֭שֵׁל If a ruler mō·šêl מַקְשִׁ֣יב listens maq·šîḇ עַל־ to ‘al- דְּבַר־ lies də·ḇar- שָׁ֑קֶר . . . , šā·qer כָּֽל־ all kāl- מְשָׁרְתָ֥יו his officials mə·šā·rə·ṯāw רְשָׁעִֽים׃ will be wicked . rə·šā·‘îm Proverbs 29:13 רָ֤שׁ The poor man rāš וְאִ֣ישׁ and the oppressor wə·’îš תְּכָכִ֣ים . . . tə·ḵā·ḵîm נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ have this in common : nip̄·gā·šū יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh מֵ֤אִיר־ gives light mê·’îr- עֵינֵ֖י to the eyes ‘ê·nê שְׁנֵיהֶ֣ם of both . šə·nê·hem Proverbs 29:14 מֶ֤לֶךְ A king me·leḵ שׁוֹפֵ֣ט who judges šō·w·p̄êṭ דַּלִּ֑ים the poor dal·lîm בֶּֽאֱמֶ֣ת with fairness — be·’ĕ·meṯ כִּ֝סְא֗וֹ his throne kis·’ōw יִכּֽוֹן׃ will be established forever yik·kō·wn לָעַ֥ד . . . . lā·‘aḏ Proverbs 29:15 שֵׁ֣בֶט A rod šê·ḇeṭ וְ֭תוֹכַחַת of correction wə·ṯō·w·ḵa·ḥaṯ יִתֵּ֣ן imparts yit·tên חָכְמָ֑ה wisdom , ḥāḵ·māh וְנַ֥עַר but a child wə·na·‘ar מְ֝שֻׁלָּ֗ח left to himself mə·šul·lāḥ מֵבִ֥ישׁ disgraces mê·ḇîš אִמּֽוֹ׃ his mother . ’im·mōw Proverbs 29:16 רְ֭שָׁעִים When the wicked rə·šā·‘îm בִּרְב֣וֹת thrive , bir·ḇō·wṯ פָּ֑שַׁע rebellion pā·ša‘ יִרְבֶּה־ increases ; yir·beh- וְ֝צַדִּיקִ֗ים but the righteous wə·ṣad·dî·qîm יִרְאֽוּ׃ will see yir·’ū בְּֽמַפַּלְתָּ֥ם their downfall . bə·map·pal·tām Proverbs 29:17 יַסֵּ֣ר Discipline yas·sêr בִּ֭נְךָ your son , bin·ḵā וִֽינִיחֶ֑ךָ and he will give you rest ; wî·nî·ḥe·ḵā וְיִתֵּ֖ן he will bring wə·yit·tên מַעֲדַנִּ֣ים delight ma·‘ă·ḏan·nîm לְנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃פ to your soul . lə·nap̄·še·ḵā Proverbs 29:18 בְּאֵ֣ין Where [there is] no bə·’ên חָ֭זוֹן vision , ḥā·zō·wn עָ֑ם the people ‘ām יִפָּ֣רַֽע cast off restraint ; yip·pā·ra‘ אַשְׁרֵֽהוּ׃ but blessed [is] ’aš·rê·hū וְשֹׁמֵ֖ר he who keeps wə·šō·mêr תּוֹרָ֣ה the Law . tō·w·rāh Proverbs 29:19 עָ֑בֶד A servant ‘ā·ḇeḏ לֹא־ cannot lō- יִוָּ֣סֶר be corrected yiw·wā·ser בִּ֭דְבָרִים by words [alone] ; biḏ·ḇā·rîm כִּֽי־ though kî- יָ֝בִ֗ין he understands , yā·ḇîn
