תִשְׁמְרֵ֣ם you keep them ṯiš·mə·rêm בְּבִטְנֶ֑ךָ within you bə·ḇiṭ·ne·ḵā יִכֹּ֥נוּ . . . yik·kō·nū יַ֝חְדָּ֗ו and they are constantly yaḥ·dāw עַל־ on ‘al- שְׂפָתֶֽיךָ׃ your lips . śə·p̄ā·ṯe·ḵā Proverbs 22:19 מִבְטַחֶ֑ךָ So that your trust miḇ·ṭa·ḥe·ḵā לִהְי֣וֹת may be lih·yō·wṯ בַּ֭יהוָה in YHWH , Yah·weh הוֹדַעְתִּ֖יךָ I instruct you hō·w·ḏa‘·tî·ḵā הַיּ֣וֹם today — hay·yō·wm אַף־ yes , ’ap̄- אָֽתָּה׃ you . ’āt·tāh Proverbs 22:20 הֲלֹ֤א Have I not hă·lō כָתַ֣בְתִּי written ḵā·ṯaḇ·tî לְ֭ךָ for you lə·ḵā שִׁלְשׁוֹם thirty sayings šil·šōm בְּמ֖וֹעֵצֹ֣ת about counsel bə·mō·w·‘ê·ṣōṯ וָדָֽעַת׃ and knowledge , wā·ḏā·‘aṯ Proverbs 22:21 לְהוֹדִֽיעֲךָ֗ to show you lə·hō·w·ḏî·‘ă·ḵā קֹ֭שְׁטְ true qō·šəṭ אֱמֶ֑ת and reliable ’ĕ·meṯ אִמְרֵ֣י words , ’im·rê לְהָשִׁ֥יב that you may lə·hā·šîḇ אֱ֝מֶ֗ת soundly ’ĕ·meṯ אֲמָרִ֥ים answer ’ă·mā·rîm לְשֹׁלְחֶֽיךָ׃פ those who sent you ? lə·šō·lə·ḥe·ḵā Proverbs 22:22 אַֽל־ Do not ’al- תִּגְזָל־ rob tiḡ·zāl- דָּ֭ל a poor dāl כִּ֣י man because kî ה֑וּא he hū דַל־ is poor , ḏal- וְאַל־ and do not wə·’al- תְּדַכֵּ֖א crush tə·ḏak·kê עָנִ֣י the afflicted ‘ā·nî בַשָּֽׁעַר׃ at the gate , ḇaš·šā·‘ar Proverbs 22:23 כִּֽי־ for kî- יְ֭הוָה YHWH Yah·weh יָרִ֣יב will take up yā·rîḇ רִיבָ֑ם their case rî·ḇām וְקָבַ֖ע and will plunder wə·qā·ḇa‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- קֹבְעֵיהֶ֣ם those who rob them qō·ḇə·‘ê·hem נָֽפֶשׁ׃ . . . . nā·p̄eš Proverbs 22:24 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּ֭תְרַע make friends tiṯ·ra‘ אֶת־ with ’eṯ- אָ֑ף an angry ’āp̄ בַּ֣עַל man , ba·‘al לֹ֣א and do not lō תָבֽוֹא׃ associate ṯā·ḇō·w וְאֶת־ with wə·’eṯ- חֵ֝מוֹת a hot-tempered ḥê·mō·wṯ אִ֥ישׁ man , ’îš Proverbs 22:25 פֶּן־ or pen- תֶּאֱלַ֥ף you may learn te·’ĕ·lap̄ אָרְחָתוֹ his ways ʾå̄·rə·ḥå̄·ṯō וְלָקַחְתָּ֖ and entangle wə·lā·qaḥ·tā לְנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ yourself lə·nap̄·še·ḵā מוֹקֵ֣שׁ in a snare . mō·w·qêš Proverbs 22:26 אַל־ Do not ’al- תְּהִ֥י be tə·hî בְתֹֽקְעֵי־ one who gives pledges ḇə·ṯō·qə·‘ê- כָ֑ף . . . , ḵāp̄ בַּ֝עֹרְבִ֗ים who puts up security ba·‘ō·rə·ḇîm מַשָּׁאֽוֹת׃ for debts . maš·šā·’ō·wṯ Proverbs 22:27 אִם־ If ’im- אֵֽין־ you have nothing ’ên- לְךָ֥ with which lə·ḵā לְשַׁלֵּ֑ם to pay , lə·šal·lêm לָ֥מָּה why lām·māh מִ֝שְׁכָּבְךָ֗ should your bed miš·kā·ḇə·ḵā
