Proverbs 13:22 ט֗וֹב A good ṭō·wḇ יַנְחִ֥יל man leaves an inheritance yan·ḥîl בְּנֵֽי־ to his children’s bə·nê- בָנִ֑ים children , ḇā·nîm חוֹטֵֽא׃ but the sinner’s ḥō·w·ṭê חֵ֣יל wealth ḥêl וְצָפ֥וּן [is] passed wə·ṣā·p̄ūn לַ֝צַּדִּ֗יק to the righteous . laṣ·ṣad·dîq Proverbs 13:23 רָב־ Abundant rāḇ- אֹ֭כֶל food ’ō·ḵel נִ֣יר [is in] the fallow ground nîr רָאשִׁ֑ים of the poor , rā·šîm בְּלֹ֣א but without bə·lō מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ justice miš·pāṭ וְיֵ֥שׁ it is wə·yêš נִ֝סְפֶּ֗ה swept away . nis·peh Proverbs 13:24 חוֹשֵׂ֣ךְ He who spares ḥō·w·śêḵ שִׁ֭בְטוֹ the rod ḇə·ṭōw שׂוֹנֵ֣א hates śō·w·nê בְנ֑וֹ his son , ḇə·nōw וְ֝אֹהֲב֗וֹ but he who loves him wə·’ō·hă·ḇōw מוּסָֽר׃ disciplines him mū·sār שִֽׁחֲר֥וֹ diligently . ši·ḥă·rōw Proverbs 13:25 צַדִּ֗יק A righteous ṣad·dîq אֹ֭כֵל man eats ’ō·ḵêl נַפְשׁ֑וֹ to his heart’s nap̄·šōw לְשֹׂ֣בַע content , lə·śō·ḇa‘ וּבֶ֖טֶן but the stomach ū·ḇe·ṭen רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm תֶּחְסָֽר׃פ is empty . teḥ·sār Proverbs 14:1 חַכְמ֣וֹת Every wise ḥaḵ·mō·wṯ נָ֭שִׁים woman nā·šîm בָּנְתָ֣ה builds bā·nə·ṯāh בֵיתָ֑הּ her house , ḇê·ṯāh וְ֝אִוֶּ֗לֶת but a foolish one wə·’iw·we·leṯ תֶהֶרְסֶֽנּוּ׃ tears it down ṯe·her·sen·nū בְּיָדֶ֥יהָ with her own hands . bə·yā·ḏe·hā Proverbs 14:2 הוֹלֵ֣ךְ He who walks hō·w·lêḵ בְּ֭יָשְׁרוֹ in uprightness bə·yā·šə·rōw יְרֵ֣א fears yə·rê יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh וּנְל֖וֹז but the one who is devious ū·nə·lō·wz דְּרָכָ֣יו in his ways də·rā·ḵāw בּוֹזֵֽהוּ׃ despises Him . bō·w·zê·hū Proverbs 14:3 גַּאֲוָ֑ה The proud ga·’ă·wāh בְּֽפִי־ speech bə·p̄î- אֱ֭וִיל of a fool ’ĕ·wîl חֹ֣טֶר brings a rod to his back , ḥō·ṭer וְשִׂפְתֵ֥י but the lips wə·śip̄·ṯê חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים of the wise ḥă·ḵā·mîm תִּשְׁמוּרֵֽם׃ protect them . tiš·mū·rêm Proverbs 14:4 בְּאֵ֣ין Where there are no bə·’ên אֲ֭לָפִים oxen , ’ă·lā·p̄îm אֵב֣וּס the manger ’ê·ḇūs בָּ֑ר is empty , bār וְרָב־ but an abundant wə·rāḇ- תְּ֝בוּא֗וֹת harvest comes tə·ḇū·’ō·wṯ בְּכֹ֣חַ through the strength bə·ḵō·aḥ שֽׁוֹר׃ of the ox . šō·wr Proverbs 14:5 אֱ֭מוּנִים An honest ’ĕ·mū·nîm עֵ֣ד witness ‘êḏ לֹ֣א does not lō יְכַזֵּ֑ב deceive , yə·ḵaz·zêḇ שָֽׁקֶר׃ but a dishonest šā·qer עֵ֣ד witness ‘êḏ וְיָפִ֥יחַ pours forth wə·yā·p̄î·aḥ כְּ֝זָבִ֗ים lies . kə·zā·ḇîm Proverbs 14:6 לֵ֣ץ A mocker lêṣ בִּקֶּשׁ־ seeks biq·qeš- חָכְמָ֣ה wisdom ḥāḵ·māh
