יַחֲרִֽישׁ׃ remains silent . ya·ḥă·rîš Proverbs 11:13 רָ֭כִיל A gossip rā·ḵîl הוֹלֵ֣ךְ vvv hō·w·lêḵ מְגַלֶּה־ reveals mə·ḡal·leh- סּ֑וֹד a secret , sō·wḏ וְנֶאֱמַן־ but a trustworthy wə·ne·’ĕ·man- ר֝֗וּחַ person rū·aḥ מְכַסֶּ֥ה keeps mə·ḵas·seh דָבָֽר׃ a confidence . ḏā·ḇār Proverbs 11:14 בְּאֵ֣ין For lack bə·’ên תַּ֭חְבֻּלוֹת of guidance , taḥ·bu·lō·wṯ עָ֑ם a nation ‘ām יִפָּל־ falls , yip·pāl- בְּרֹ֣ב but with many bə·rōḇ יוֹעֵֽץ׃ counselors yō·w·‘êṣ וּ֝תְשׁוּעָ֗ה [comes] deliverance . ū·ṯə·šū·‘āh Proverbs 11:15 כִּי־ - kî- עָ֣רַב He who puts up security ‘ā·raḇ זָ֑ר for a stranger zār רַע־ will surely suffer ra‘- יֵ֭רוֹעַ . . . , yê·rō·w·a‘ וְשֹׂנֵ֖א but the one who hates wə·śō·nê תֹקְעִ֣ים indebtedness ṯō·qə·‘îm בּוֹטֵֽחַ׃ is secure . bō·w·ṭê·aḥ Proverbs 11:16 חֵ֭ן A gracious ḥên אֵֽשֶׁת־ woman ’ê·šeṯ- תִּתְמֹ֣ךְ attains tiṯ·mōḵ כָּב֑וֹד honor , kā·ḇō·wḏ וְ֝עָרִיצִ֗ים but ruthless [men] wə·‘ā·rî·ṣîm יִתְמְכוּ־ gain yiṯ·mə·ḵū- עֹֽשֶׁר׃ only wealth . ‘ō·šer Proverbs 11:17 חָ֑סֶד A kind ḥā·seḏ אִ֣ישׁ man ’îš גֹּמֵ֣ל benefits gō·mêl נַ֭פְשׁוֹ himself , nap̄·šōw אַכְזָרִֽי׃ but a cruel man ’aḵ·zā·rî וְעֹכֵ֥ר brings trouble wə·‘ō·ḵêr שְׁ֝אֵר֗וֹ on himself . ’ê·rōw Proverbs 11:18 רָשָׁ֗ע The wicked man rā·šā‘ עֹשֶׂ֥ה earns ‘ō·śeh שָׁ֑קֶר an empty šā·qer פְעֻלַּת־ wage , p̄ə·‘ul·laṯ- וְזֹרֵ֥עַ but he who sows wə·zō·rê·a‘ צְ֝דָקָ֗ה righteousness ṣə·ḏā·qāh אֱמֶֽת׃ [reaps] a true ’ĕ·meṯ שֶׂ֣כֶר reward . śe·ḵer Proverbs 11:19 כֵּן־ Genuine kên- צְדָקָ֥ה righteousness ṣə·ḏā·qāh לְחַיִּ֑ים leads to life , lə·ḥay·yîm וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף but the pursuit ū·mə·rad·dêp̄ רָעָ֣ה of evil rā·‘āh לְמוֹתֽוֹ׃ brings death . lə·mō·w·ṯōw Proverbs 11:20 עִקְּשֵׁי־ The perverse ‘iq·qə·šê- לֵ֑ב in heart lêḇ תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת are an abomination tō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ יְ֭הוָה to YHWH , Yah·weh תְּמִ֣ימֵי but the blameless tə·mî·mê דָֽרֶךְ׃ in [their] walk ḏā·reḵ וּ֝רְצוֹנ֗וֹ are His delight . ū·rə·ṣō·w·nōw Proverbs 11:21 יָ֣ד Be assured yāḏ לְ֭יָד . . . lə·yāḏ רָּ֑ע that the wicked rā‘ לֹא־ will not lō- יִנָּ֣קֶה go unpunished , yin·nā·qeh וְזֶ֖רַע but the offspring wə·ze·ra‘ צַדִּיקִ֣ים of the righteous ṣad·dî·qîm נִמְלָֽט׃ will escape . nim·lāṭ Proverbs 11:22 זָ֭הָב Like a gold zā·hāḇ נֶ֣זֶם ring ne·zem חֲזִ֑יר in a pig’s ḥă·zîr
