Proverbs 12:1 אֹהֵ֣ב Whoever loves ’ō·hêḇ מ֭וּסָר discipline mū·så̄r אֹ֣הֵֽב loves ’ō·hêḇ דָּ֑עַת knowledge , dā·‘aṯ וְשֹׂנֵ֖א but he who hates wə·śō·nê תוֹכַ֣חַת correction ṯō·w·ḵa·ḥaṯ בָּֽעַר׃ is stupid . bā·‘ar Proverbs 12:2 ט֗וֹב The good [man] ṭō·wḇ יָפִ֣יק obtains yā·p̄îq רָ֭צוֹן favor rā·ṣō·wn מֵיְהוָ֑ה from YHWH , Yah·weh יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃ but [YHWH] condemns yar·šî·a‘ וְאִ֖ישׁ a man wə·’îš מְזִמּ֣וֹת who devises evil . mə·zim·mō·wṯ Proverbs 12:3 אָדָ֣ם A man ’ā·ḏām לֹא־ cannot lō- יִכּ֣וֹן be established yik·kō·wn בְּרֶ֑שַׁע through wickedness , bə·re·ša‘ צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים but the righteous ṣad·dî·qîm בַּל־ cannot bal- יִמּֽוֹט׃ be uprooted yim·mō·wṭ וְשֹׁ֥רֶשׁ . . . . wə·šō·reš Proverbs 12:4 אֵֽשֶׁת־ A wife ’ê·šeṯ- חַ֭יִל of noble character ḥa·yil בַּעְלָ֑הּ is her husband’s ba‘·lāh עֲטֶ֣רֶת crown , ‘ă·ṭe·reṯ מְבִישָֽׁה׃ but she who causes shame mə·ḇî·šāh וּכְרָקָ֖ב is like decay ū·ḵə·rā·qāḇ בְּעַצְמוֹתָ֣יו in his bones . bə·‘aṣ·mō·w·ṯāw Proverbs 12:5 מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת The plans maḥ·šə·ḇō·wṯ צַדִּיקִ֣ים of the righteous ṣad·dî·qîm מִשְׁפָּ֑ט are just , miš·pāṭ תַּחְבֻּל֖וֹת [but] the counsel taḥ·bu·lō·wṯ רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm מִרְמָֽה׃ leads to deceit . mir·māh Proverbs 12:6 דִּבְרֵ֣י The words diḇ·rê רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm אֱרָב־ lie in wait ’ĕ·rāḇ- דָּ֑ם for blood , dām וּפִ֥י but the speech ū·p̄î יְ֝שָׁרִ֗ים of the upright yə·šā·rîm יַצִּילֵֽם׃ rescues them . yaṣ·ṣî·lêm Proverbs 12:7 רְשָׁעִ֣ים The wicked rə·šā·‘îm הָפ֣וֹךְ are overthrown hā·p̄ō·wḵ וְאֵינָ֑ם and perish , wə·’ê·nām וּבֵ֖ית but the house ū·ḇêṯ צַדִּיקִ֣ים of the righteous ṣad·dî·qîm יַעֲמֹֽד׃ will stand . ya·‘ă·mōḏ Proverbs 12:8 אִ֑ישׁ A man ’îš יְהֻלַּל־ is praised yə·hul·lal- לְֽפִי־ according lə·p̄î·śi- שִׂ֭כְלוֹ to his wisdom , ḵə·lōw וְנַעֲוֵה־ but a twisted wə·na·‘ă·wêh- לֵ֝֗ב mind lêḇ יִהְיֶ֥ה is yih·yeh לָבֽוּז׃ despised . lā·ḇūz Proverbs 12:9 ט֣וֹב Better ṭō·wḇ נִ֭קְלֶה to be lightly esteemed niq·leh וְעֶ֣בֶד yet have a servant wə·‘e·ḇeḏ ל֑וֹ , lōw מִ֝מְּתַכַּבֵּ֗ד than to be self-important mim·mə·ṯak·kab·bêḏ וַחֲסַר־ but lack wa·ḥă·sar- לָֽחֶם׃ food . lā·ḥem Proverbs 12:10 צַ֭דִּיק A righteous [man] ṣad·dîq יוֹדֵ֣עַ regards yō·w·ḏê·a‘ נֶ֣פֶשׁ the life ne·p̄eš בְּהֶמְתּ֑וֹ of his animal , bə·hem·tōw וְֽרַחֲמֵ֥י but the tender mercies wə·ra·ḥă·mê רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm אַכְזָרִֽי׃ are only cruelty . ’aḵ·zā·rî
